So this place is dangerous my wife and I were druged and if I had proof I would be pressing charges. It has to be someone at the bar or someone the bartender knows because our drinks from what I know of we never touched from the bar to our table apart from this luckily enough, I was more tolerant and able to take us home home that night. Also the comedy shows they have are old so not so great to keep going for the shows but funny to see them once. Ladies be aware of this place.

Good night out for the cost. It was only $15/person for the comic show 8pm on Saturday. There were about 8 comedians in about 1.5 hour show. About half were hilarious! The other half didnt really speak to me, but worth it for $15. FYI: The food is typical bar food, chicken tenders, sliders or wings with fries. Fried pickles & such. Drinks werent too expensive. 1 chicken tenders w/ fries & 4 drinks came up to about $40. It was a little chilly inside so bring a jacket or sweater. One thing I did notice is that they didnt have music for each transition of the comedians like many comedy clubs do. That would have helped keep the energy. Super friendly staff though. Helpful making a reservation an hour before the show. Helpful when we arrived. Shout out to the latino comic, the quirky white woman & the taller Jamaican comedian. Yall were hilarious .

We ve been going to this place for many many years, including at their former location. The reasons we keep coming back are the variety of comics, and the reasonable prices. There are usually 8-10 comedians and there are typically several that have us belly laughing, a few that make us chuckle and then a few - not so much. It s kind of a dive, so don t expect to impress anyone, but the simple drinks are solid, and the service is good.

We enjoyed our time at Backdoor Comedy! The show was a good value and in 2 hours saw 10-15 comedians. Some were definitely better than others, but it s great to see people honing their craft. The venue was small and intimate. Just for people s awareness, it did seem to allow smoking, and the menu for food was pretty small if you plan to eat there. Although what we ate (sliders, chicken fingers and pretzels) were solid. They could play some music between comedians to keep the energy up and keep the room a bit warmer (we both kept our coats on the whole time). Overall it was fun, chill, and the comedy was pretty clean which was can be hard to find. I would recommend it as unique, fun and new experience

There were maybe 8 comedians. About half even were funny. Need to really work on their material. Food comes from The Line, the bar next door. The reviews of the pizza say it is great! It was not hot. And, our beer was not cold. We asked to get cold drafts and it was still not cold.

Such a great group of comics and people. The sets are great and so is the food. Many of the comics go to the bar (The Line) on the other side of the facility and stay for karaoke and chatting with the people. They are all great people and it is great for date night or a group outing. Love them all - very diverse group. Cant wait to go back! :-)

I took a date for Thursday open mic night and it was worth the cost to go Some comedians were awful but, it WAS open mic night. A few were really good. Cover was $7 I think. Finding a waitress to close the tab required me to go look for her. Drinks were not very expensive. One note.... Bring a sweater or coat because the AC is very cold! Good place to spend a few hours.

appreciated the variety of comedians, though it was hit or miss on humor level. although the adjoining bar served a larger variety of food and other people brought food from there to the comedy show, we were told we could not and the options offered at the show were mediocre, with none being of a healthy variety. service was slow, with us having to flag down server for refills, etc. overall, a meh experience.

This had to be one of the best times in my life. The customer service is unmatched. The food was everything. The comedians were SUPER amazing. They even hung out with us after while listening to music and having drinks. Paul is a real stand up guy. Amazing personality. This is a MUST DO while visiting Dallas. Decided to finally check out Back Door Comedy club this past weekend. I had a great experience! The actual comedy club was pretty quaint and only had seating for about 30 people or so. There was a 2 item menu requirement but we easily met that with our drinks. The line up was so funny! We got to hear from about 10 different comedians! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed all of them! Not only did they have some great sets lined up the comedians were also so great at adlibs. The interaction with the crowd was so amusing! Our drinks were great! Ordered a double deep eddy lemon and water and they were strong. The Comedy Club is attached to a dive bar that had Karaoke and Dollar Jell-O Shots. Needless to say, it was a great night! I would highly recommend Backdoor Comedy to anyone looking for a few good laughs, drinks and an all around fun night!

WHAT A GOOD TIME!! I cant think of a more fun way to spend a Saturday night. The food is fine, and there is a 2 item minimum. They have drinks as well. The comics were funny, the service was great, and the atmosphere is comfortable. The room is tiny, maybe enough for 30 people and I was skeptical at first but actually really enjoyed not being part of a huge audience. The comedians were able to be more personal and it made for a really good time.

It s been 7 years, yet I still remember the workshop I took as even the instructor took the time to teach on after I was the only student to show for Backdoor s intro class that session. They gave me the option to perform, immediately after the class; yet they didn t push me in to anything. I decided to perform and it was invigorating. I d drive in from Alabama to relive that Thursday again and get on stage one more time. Southern fried humor at it s best with a friendly, Texas welcome.

This place was a great way to spend a date night or night out with friends. The comedians were really funny, to the point that I wouldnt be surprised if some of them become well-known down the line. And there is a wide range so if some of them arent for you, there will definitely be others you enjoy. The service and food was great too. Very reasonable prices for quality bar service. Every time I ve been to the Backdoor Comedy Club, I ve had the most fun. Their comics have always been hilarious and the staff is super friendly. The club is intimate and cozy with a sort of a New York comedy club feel, but not so tight that you feel like anyone is getting into your personal space. You see a number of different comics over the evening, and they re all really funny. They keep things moving and it s a great show. It is a fantastic place for a birthday or anniversary. Just let them know when you make your reservation and they take great care of you. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You won t regret it!

The talent was quite entertaining and very accommodating afterwards for pictures and such. Our drinks were never empty and the food was delicious. For sure a 5-star experience and highly recommended.

Best open mic Ive experienced in the metroplex. Yes, there is a minimal cover charge, but the room is full of people ready to laugh and have a good time. Speaking only to the open mic, its the good, the bad, and the ugly. But the good is often very good, and the feel of the room is one of jovial unity, with a broad spectrum of comics ranging from seasoned lawyers trying out new material to rising stars debuting their comedic voice. Everyone is extremely friendly, and at times you forget its an open mic. Highly recommended.

This is in the hotel right off the highway, so dont miss the small sign on the side of the hotel building. Go through the lobby though. There were at least 8 comedians on the night we went, and my cheeks literally ached afterward from smiling and laughing during their routines. We went a different night last year, and it wasnt as funny, so I guess its hit and miss, depending on whos there, but for $12-$14, I think its worth it. The menu is extremely limited, but it was delicious (quesadillas and sliders). The server was stealth in delivering drinks and the check during the show. Im sure well return at some point.

One star for the one drink I was served! Im pretty sure if someone opens a tab they intend to have more than one drink! Could have been a lot better experience! I would say the comedy was 50/50, had some good laughs but some comedians were not so great. Again may have been better if I wasnt agrivated from the poor service!

Small venue with great acts. Conveniently located inside the Campbell Center so you dont have to drive after. We have been several times and always love it.
