It took me 10 minutes to be seated with no line or wait. No one even acknowledged me. I think they may have been short staffed but overall it was just a really unpleasant experience. My bowl is good BUT my egg roll was cold as ice. It had to have been a microwaveable one. It was so gross. The shell was soft like a little cold burrito.

Wow!!!!!!!!!Disappointed. What happened to this place? Its been a couple of years because the military transferred me to somewhere else, but damn!!!!Horrible all the way around from the greeting to how the meat is cut and how its prepared. I was transferred back to Texas and wanted me some GGs. Oh no, I will not come back to this place again. I will not recommend this place for military lunches. This is the second time we ve gotten up and left this place prior to ordering due to TERRIBLE service. We sat for over 10 minutes not being greeted by anyone or offered to order food or drink. It s a shame to have a place with great food but the service drives people away. Unfortunately the place smelled horrible during our most recent visit. This is the last time we will attempt this location. I recommend the owners reconsider allowing dine in. The service is always slow, but especially terrible as of the past few months.

I wanted to come and eat here with my family, the place was empty besides 1 table. The staff clearly saw us come in, I counted at least 3. All of them just stood starring in our direction and as if they were waiting for someone else to host the guests. I think the managers and owners need to put more attention in their employees and making sure the guests are attended as they walk in especially when the ratio of employees to people dining is significantly more. We walked out as we clearly were not getting any service at this location. I recommend getting tips in service from rodeo goat across the street from you as they know how to welcome guests.

Food is decent enough. On a recent carry out order they handed me the wrong order, even though it had my name on it. I d don t notice until I arrived home. I tried calling to let them know what happened so they could prepare my correct order for me while I drove back. Phone goes straight to voicemail and voicemail box is full. I couldn t even leave a message. I drove back and the worker explained they weren t answering the phone because they were busy. The place was half empty. What should ve been a 20 minute round trip was an hour (2 round trips and 20 minutes for them to remake my food). This isn t the first time I ve had a mix up and not able to contact them via phone.

I have loved Genghis Grill since a long time ago. But lately, the one in Frisco is getting dirtier and dirtier. Their bathroom, their dining area, their buffet area. Their bathroom is filthy. Every time I went since 2 years ago, their bathroom has always been dirty. They kept taking off ingredients, too. Last we went a week ago, they took off potatoes and spinach. I would love to come back, but my husband said it might take a while...

Good part of this restaurant is that you can choose your ingredients for you bowl and often the ingredients are fresh, if not can be replaced with ease. But this place needs to update its decor and service. Some of the staff is outright rude. Toilets also need to be improved/upkeep required. I hope it improves and doesn t slide down any more

Ive been going to this genghis grill since it first opened sadly the quality of it has declined through the years. When I went there on a Sunday it was a packed place with only one server working it got to the point I seen a few people grabbing their cooked bowls off the counter instead of waiting for the server to bring it to them. Eventually another server came but 2 wasnt enough still they also had one cook sometimes the manager would help out but as for my food it tasted good as usual I just wish the service was better and they brought back the free peanuts and free bottomless bowls but i get it :(

I was pretty disappointed in the service here tonight.. the food was great, but our server, Cai, didnt seem to know what she was doing, or maybe she just didnt care. She started out very awkward, but i was like, whatever, it happens to the best of us.. she brought my 1 ½ year old the wrong drink and placed it right in front of her with no lid, and she spills it ALL over herself.. shes soaked in sweet tea. i had to change her right there in the restaurant! My husband goes to ask her for some napkins, and she looked at him like he was a bother. Meanwhile, my child is just devasted and now sticky and cold. Our server watched it happen and just walked off like oh well! just couldnt even care! And then when we waved her down so we could order, she assumed everyone knew how to order. And gave some attitude because she had to ask us what we wanted in it. There was no sense of customer service.. she was clearly just there to make her money and go home! I still tipped but she couldve gotten more if she was more attentive and caring.

Do not come here if you have any dietary restrictions. Ordered cauliflower rice bc of a starch intolerance and they gave normal rice. The water tasted like toilet water. The soda had no syrup in it. The three meals we made came back and had ingredients that we did not include. My friend can t eat corn and it was somehow in her meal. When we talked to the server abt the issue with the rice the server brought us a tiny bowl of just cauliflower rice. They also sat us in a very gross booth. There was a fake nail in the crack. We asked for the manager and this woman comes up. No introduction or anything. When we expressed our concerns abt the unsanitary conditions she started smiling. It s extremely unprofessional and honestly disgusting to see. Our server was good, she had long purple braids and a purple bandana. Otherwise very unhappy.

Food was great. Service was horrible. Waited for 5 min at the front to even be seated. Then waited for 15 min for someone to take our order. Never got our waters that we ordered, so we got up and got them ourselves. Servers seem like they don t want to be here. There were only 2 servers and they were bouncing around the restaurant doing who knows what, looking confused half the time. I just moved back to Texas and I remembered how much I used to really enjoy coming to Genghis Grill. I came with my wife a few weeks ago and it just was not the same. First off, they did not have the sliced beef that I used to get which was a disappointment and then they didn t have the peanut sauce anymore either. Those two things honestly made the dishes for me so it just didn t taste the same. It wasn t horrible, just not what I really wanted. The service was great, our server was kind and attentive. The restaurant itself had seen better days. We were told to sit where ever we would like and it seemed like a lot of the booths were broken.

UPDATE: My sister made me try Genghis grill again and the service was much better. The food was good to me, but my sister said her food was a little burnt. I decided to get an egg roll which was disgusting and the size of my pinky! Their frozen machine was down so I couldn t get a frozen drink but all in all much better than my first review Haven t been to Genghis in a while so I was excited to go since I was already in Frisco. I m assuming they were short staffed since mostly all the tables were dirty, and I waited to be seated for like 10 minutes. Not once did anybody speak to me. I just walked out.

Edit it was also my birthday Never been to a curbside pick up that was so slow. Got there 5 minutes early and sat in my car after checking in and waiting almost 40 minutes. My order said it had been done for 35 minutes before I had to go in myself and it was sitting there cold as hell.litteraly only like 4 people were there too. Not even busy. Dont have curbside pick up if you dont bring food to car.

Went here for dinner with my mom, and like normal we both got a medium build your own bowl. When we finished adding our ingredients and sat back down, we waited for around 10 or 15 minutes. When our food came out, I was satisfied and thought everything was well cooked and tasted good. However my moms food was a bit overdone with almost every bit of sausage being burnt. Otherwise, great place. Update: Ingredient quality varied, some proteins looked old, but others looked great and new. Nothing but broccoli stems, and not many ingredients had full bins. Still good though.

A very unique concept, you can choose from different raw meat, veggies, spices and sauces. You can fill the preselected bowl (by size) as much as you want. And then itll be cooked stir fried, and will be served with your choice of base like rice, friend rice. Worth the price. There are chances of using the same blades for different orders, so if you are allergic to certain kinds of meat then you may need to explicitly mention that to the people cooking it. Definitely recommend.

No sprouts at all and the broccoli was nothing but stalks, no florets at all. While I dont expect top choice on the meat it could have been sliced thinner so it wasnt so tough when cooked. Would recommend looking else where if youre in the mood for Mongolian grill style food.

Every time my father and I come in here we feel at home. The staff recognizes us and greets us warmly. They accommodate my allergies and make sure the food is delicious. Our favorite waitress, Merissa, is attentive, personable and makes sure to always go the extra mile to make our dining experience spectacular. Shes honestly the best waitress Ive had. Honestly, I used to eat at Genghis all time so I took my family out to eat there this week Because it s been a while, but this time with different. the manager the Shannon who started waiting my table, was so awful, and one of the rudest managers I ve ever dealt with. Not good at recommending items on the menu, even brought us the wrong order and drinks. Eventually a waitress I believe her name was Fernanda came and refilled our drinks and was so joyous and cheerful she completely made my experience better. If it wasn t for Fernanda I would not be returning to this restaurant however, next time I will always ask for her.

The manager needs to schedule more than one person on a Sunday. I always come here and it s always amazing! Today I came in and there was only one server running the whole restaurant!! I counted and he had about 13 tables at the same time! He was doing a fantastic job and running all over the place to give everyone the best service he could give them! I forgot his name but y all need to give that man a raise for being a host, bartender and the only server. He did a really good job and our food was amazing as always.

Anytime I am in the area, I always stop. Very friendly staff awesome ingredients. The restaurant is clean and the staff is super helpful. Shout out to my man, Aaron. You, my friend, are awesome and blessed.

Bowls were dirty. Asked for new ones, waitress went over and wiped new bowls clean with her finger and brought them over. Went to get in line and trays had food still on them.

The air conditioner is broken and it s super hot inside. Every table was dirty and the owner doesn t ever have enough servers working. The foods great. Service is ok but it s not the servers fault. It s the owners for never hiring enough staff.

Our server Shannon was amazing. It was our first time and she explained exactly what to do. She checked on us throughout our stay and refilled our drinks without us needing to ask. Definitely recommend this place. Ask for Shannon!!!
