Im writing this review for the unprofessionalism and discrimination I experienced by a bartender of the name Kristina. I had a brief conversation near the bar she was serving, and imediately this bartender gave me a nasty little attitude. I walked away, without any other word, to the other bar area and minded my business. I ordered a drink, and out of nowhere was then informed I was cut off and would be kicked out. (According to my friend who was with this bartender, Kristina told her You better get your friend becauae shes about to get kicked out.. This being said while I was peacefully sitting at the other bar). Now, this bartender (Kristina) might say I was dangerously intoxicated and caused a scene, but the two gentlemen who worked behind the bar I was sitting at, can attest that I was of sound mind and agreed this was unwarranted. I know a private business and bartender have the right to refuse service, but only if they see this person is a public threat or visibly intoxicated. I was neither. I do also know, there are discrimination laws and one cannot be refused service due to that fact. The manager was of no help, gave me no reason, and couldnt care less. What, pray tell, other reason could I have not been served other than that of discrimination by said bartender, Kristina? I didnt care of being cut off, I was perfectly fine, what I do care about is the unrighteous reason and how the bartender was able to do so on absolutely no grounds. Tipsy Elf, do better. Vet your bartenders not just on their bartending skills, but in their biases. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Such a fun place to visit during the holidays! Definitely a photo worth place. It had a cheery and happy energy. It can get crowded so get there early enough to enjoy the space. The music selection could have been better. Drinks, were cute, festive, and fun but definitely overpriced. I think this is a nice place to stop at while in that area but not stay more than an hour.

Edit 2023: Last year was so much fun, this year... not so much. We were so excited to plan a friends evening here because we had so much fun last year. But this year was very different - the fun, vintage Christmas decorations - it looked more like something that you would see at a mall. If you arent interested in Mezcal or tequila drinks, you were pretty much out of luck. The people behind the bar (I refuse to call them mixologists - everything seemed to be pre-mixed) didnt seem to have a clue as to what they were serving - they got our drinks wrong twice. This was after they seemed to be doing a lot of tasting through straws of every drink - that could have been the problem. The Casablanca area had a few drinks without tequila in them so we started there, but even though these drinks were more expensive, they had minimal garnishes in them that werent Santa-worthy. Didnt understand teh orchid garnishes at all. They had some really cute garnishes that I saw walking around, but what you saw isnt necessarily what you got. We ordered the same drinks, and they looked completely different, which was disappointing. Great concept, bad execution this year. Hoping for better next year. December 2022:: What a fun idea! Insta worthy places everywhere you look. The fact that it is a fundraiser for Mission Oak Cliff makes it even better. Can t wait for next year! Wonderful, fun staff, creative cocktails- great evening!

The venue is great, the atmosphere is wonderful. The music was a bit too loud. However, the bartender tried to change the tip amount and tried to upcharge me. I had to basically fight for them to print the receipt

Came in from out of town and was told by some friends to check out Tipsy Elf! It was amazing! A staff member named Julian welcomed us and told us about the theme and concept. He also recommended some delicious cocktails! Holiday cocktails are usually so overrated but not here! The overall vibe and ambiance was incredible. Will probably visit a second time before traveling back home 10/10 experience and hospitality!

the installation is really cute. I like how gaudy it is, the more the better!. The drinks were yummy, the different bars have different drinks so make sure you go to all. The service was excellent, reminded me of the service at Beto and Son but its to be expected when you have that guy Julian there I guess. the only complaint is the restroom situation. 3 restrooms for that whole area is minimal but thankfully the line moved quickly. Ill be back before Christmas!

Tipsy Elf is a pop-up Christmas themed bar inside Casablanca. We waited in line for over an hour but it was absolutely worth it! The interior was DECKED OUT. There was great music and Christmas themed cocktails! It was loud and busy but my group of 10 was still able to find lounge seating and order drinks fairly efficiently. The overall atmosphere was so much fun!

The Tipsy Elf impressed me in many ways. The Christmas decorations were a sight to see, the drinks were tasty along with the tacos I ordered. Even if you re a Scrooge, Tipsy Elf has a lot to offer for people looking for a fun night out.

Went to tipsy elf this year and it s so much better than last year. Saw that Julian from that show was hosting it, that surprised me. Wonder how y all were able to get him. I liked the entry way and all the lights. I preferred the outside area over the inside. I plan to come back with my family when they fly in.

Atmosphere was great thanks to the decorations, the guests and the DJ. Limited choice of cocktails but they are good, creative and strong. But, plastic cups for the price asked, really? Definitely go on a sunday or weekday because its a small space. Will I come back? Probably not...

1. Did not see any elves, seemed like a missed opportunity to not have elf on the shelf everywhere. 2. Drinkflation - drinks way overpriced and served in clear plastic cups---a red solo cup wouldve been more festive. The moscow mule was overpowered by ginger flavors and the margherita was good but mostly ice. 3. Vibe was fine, but Im not an influencer so I didnt care about photo ops. 2 stars because we also went to Society for candles and Emporium for pie, both local faves of mine.

Didn t care for the service in the front. I wish I caught a name. I also don t get how specialty drinks were not available in the pop up. Ended up getting a basic plastic cup. I was looking for a cute mug/festive drink as advertised. Long line to get in; so if you don t want to wait in the cold, go early on weekends for sure. Small place, fills up fast, nice DJ and photo ops.

The decorations were so cute and beautiful but it s always jam packed and not a lot of room to move. It kind of defeats the purpose of all the cute decorations when there s literally so many people crowded, covering it up. The drinks are ok, they re really strong so I guess that s good if you re trying to get waisted but flavor wise not that great. I also went to the bathroom while my friend waited and held my drink for me and when I tried to come back in through the door that lead to the mermaid bar, the ladies in the room rudely told me not to come in through that door. So if you have to use the restroom you have to go to the mermaid bar and then walk all the way around just to wait in line again to get back into the tipsy elf bar. It s not the worst experience ever but i definitely wouldn t recommend. Save your money and go to another local bar in the area.

I visited all 3 Christmas themed pop-up bars, and this was probably my 2nd fave in terms of decorations and my 2nd fave in terms of drinks. It was fun to visit and see the overload of Christmas decorations. The drink recipes were interesting and delicious (loved the red and green popping boba in mine!), but they were not very strong considering the price tag. They don t take reservations, so I d recommend going on a weeknight. I ve heard weekends have a long line to get in. Also, call the neighboring restaurant to confirm the Tipsy Elf is actually open. The first time we tried to visit, they had signs up saying they were closed for a private event, but no one was there and the lights were off.

We were very disappointed in the lack of adherence to social distancing protocols. It was extremely packed close quarters with other parties. While the decorations were beautiful and the food and drinks were delicious it was impossible to fully enjoy due to the lack of safety measures.
