After years of coming here (as long as they ve been open), including take out at least a few times a month, I think we re going elsewhere. Called in an order tonight and when I questioned the total, she told me that their system charges more for take out orders. This was a phone order, not using a third party app. The price she gave me was $8 more than their online menu. I asked her if she was sure, because I hadn t noticed this before. She said yes and that they haven t changed their pricing recently, so apparently I have been overpaying and not even realizing it. I canceled the order and ordered from a different sushi restaurant. I m really disappointed. This was our fav, but just can t support that business practice.

Got 4 sushi rolls to share among 2 of us and it was a lot. Solid sushi, big, good flavors. But nothing much to stand out among the other sushi restaurants in the city. I thought a lot of the sushi rolls were similar to each other. Opens late at night and had plenty of seats near closing

I visited Edoko on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at approximately 6:30 PM. My last visit to this establishment was 7-8 years ago. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an unpleasant odor reminiscent of sewage, which is highly unusual for a sushi restaurant. There were 3-4 hostesses standing around despite the few customers present. Although we were seated promptly, I noticed a similar lack of activity among the waitstaff. Our server greeted us quickly but showed little interest in upselling or providing useful information about the specials. When the sushi arrived, we were served two rolls priced at approximately $36. These rolls appeared hastily assembled, with minimal sauce garnish. While Im not overly concerned with presentation, I expected more from signature rolls at a sushi restaurant, where presentation is typically a point of pride. The rolls were mediocre at best, lacking any distinctive qualities that would justify a return visit. I hope this was an off day for the restaurant and staff. However, the multitude of issues during this visit leaves me reluctant to give Edoko another chance.

This sushi restaurant slaps. The variety of rolls, the quality of the ingredients, the staff, the atmosphere, is all incredibly worth the price and value. I consider myself an (amateur) sushi connoisseur and this is one of the best sushi establishments I ve visited. Highly recommend the Hamachi Carpaccio and the Hamachi Pirikara, they were amazing.

We love the food and order a couple times a month. But for some reason we keep getting hung up on when we called tonight As soon as we said the word door dash we were hung up on 4 times. When we spoke to manager Nathan or Jonathan he claimed we hung up. Maybe door dash has become a challenge for them. Im not sure. It would be more professional to simply say we are busy and cant adjust door dash orders. Very disappointed for a restaurant with such high quality food and that we have loved and recommended so much.

Haven t been here in 10 years. There s really no excuse since I live right around the corner, but suffice it to say that I had some bad tuna (elsewhere, not Edoko) and paid the price dearly the following morning. This wrecked me, landed me in the ER, and left me with a rather unpleasant taste aversion - so much so that I swore off tuna and all sushi because I was afraid I would become ill, regardless of the venue. I was reluctant, but I decided to keep an open mind. My Aunt and Uncle are in town visiting from Toronto, and this is the place they requested for lunch today. Knowing what I knew from the last time we dined here, I was eagerly anticipating our long overdue visit - and at the same time - curious to see how different our experience would be and see how the food quality has changed over the years. I am happy to report that the food, service, and ambiance are all on point and much more improved than our visit in 2014. We were promptly greeted at the host stand and taken to a booth. The first thing I noticed was the ambiance - a delightfully adorned and elegantly designed intimate dining space with a clear aura and good vibes from start to finish. Started things off with some Hot Sake which was really smooth. We enjoyed that. Key was our server. He checked on us throughout our meal and made sure we had what we needed - including topping off our water glasses. I ordered the Paradise Roll (see attached pictures) which was solid! So fresh and so flavorful topped with just the right size of Mango. Next came the (not pictured) Teriyaki Chicken (which my Mom and Aunt ordered), followed by the Chicken Fried Rice (see attached picture) that my Mom and I shared. My Uncle ordered the Cajun Snapper (not pictured) and Dynamite Shrimp Roll (not pictured). We all enjoyed our meals and even had more than enough to box up the remainder to take home. Generous portions and reasonable prices - especially at lunch! For the 4 of us, the total after tax for 7 items came to $123.40. Will have to return for the Green Tea Cheesecake- that looked delicious, but our entire party was too full. Definitely adding this to our rotation. We will be back!

This is one of the top Japanese cuisine places to dine at. Entrées are fresh, mouthwatering, and on point with tastefulness. Not only are the dishes very delicious but theyre eye-pleasing, something that is commo in Japanese cuisine. Theyre prepared plates are artfully displayed. Lighting in the locale was perfect, not too bright and not too dark. Some locations, either the light is too bright, which, in a Japanese restaurant its not supposed to be, or they dim the lights too much. This was just right. I had the miso soup and the sea bass with asparagus, while my husband had the Maki and sea bass with shrimp. All were wonderful to our palate... And for drinks, we had green tea. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this sushi bar, with both the food and management being subpar. The rice in the cooked roll was separated from the other ingredients. Although I finished my meal, when the waiter asked about the food, I informed him of the issue without asking for any discount. He was very understanding and apologized. He is amazing and I finally gave him 40% discount. However, the managers response was quite the opposite. He told us that the dish was supposed to be that way and since we had finished eating, there wasnt much he could do. He also added, in a rather impolite tone, that in the future, if we have an issue with the food, we should speak up before finishing the meal. I felt like I was being lectured instead of receiving good service, especially when I hadnt even asked for a discount. You might think Im being unreasonable, but imagine finishing a cooked roll that was completely soggy and then being asked by the manager about the experience. I simply voiced my opinion without asking for any discounts, yet the manager responded with a very dismissive and condescending tone. You may feel same as me.

It s unfortunate I had to take the time to leave a not so good review about the experience my family had here, but I think someone should know. Our family sat in the white chairs in front of the sushi bar and it was very uncomfortable. The guy working Saturday night 10/15 consistently gave my husband, children and I very hard stare downs. I walked out and left because I couldn t finish eating because of how uncomfortable he tried making me feel .The waiter we had was excellent and the remaining staff encounters was good. The food was COLD.which I think had something to do with him because he sat and watched me eat intensely eat them and I got the vibe of say something . I hadn t ever been served such cold food. The steak was hot but the mash potatoes were cold. I think someone should check him out because it s that 1 rotten apple that spoils the bunch. No wonder the place was empty. I cannot return back to here for feeling unwelcome. Thanks.

We were seated next to some VIP regulars that had been going for years. They said it was all good and recommended the salmon collar. It was also good. My wife ordered the Hulk roll which was amazing flavors and textures. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Manager Rebecca made sure to stop by and check that we were happy. Cudos Rebecca you have a good team and we will be back soon. We have to because my wife loves creme brulee and we forgot to order it.

In the eternal pursuit of raw fish wrapped in soggy seaweed, we found ourselves in a sushi joint one fine Friday evening. The place was humming with five sushi chefs slicing and dicing, putting on quite the knife act. If only they had taken a moment to check if their seaweed had given up the will to be crisp. We awaited our seven different hand rolls; by patiently, I mean we aged by forty minutes while our stomachs started contemplating cannibalism. When the first four finally arrived, the seaweed wraps seemed to have absorbed all our disappointment, turning as soggy as a piece of bread left in the rain. At this point, we had two main choices: grit our teeth and suffer through the meal or take action. Since we arent fans of indigestion, we decided to bring up our issues. It was a bit like playing Wheres Waldo, but instead of Waldo, we were trying to spot a floor manager amongst the chaos. Unsurprisingly, they were as elusive as a unicorn. We had to enlist the help of a hostess, who managed to summon a manager - a lady who seemed to have mastered the art of apologizing. Despite her heartfelt sorry, it was clear that the restaurant was missing a crucial ingredient - communication. There was an unnerving disconnect between the hardworking staff and the hungry patrons. Our sushi adventure reminded us that its not just the food but the harmony between the team that makes or breaks a dining experience. Because lets be honest, soggy seaweed doesnt exactly scream exquisite dining, now does it?

Saturday night visit. The wait for 2 was negligible, but larger groups should reserve a table. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired compared to more welcoming and traditional sushi bars. Was seated in a party room that was very loud and too hot and too humid for Texas in June. The wait staff was clearly juggling too much, and the food came very slowly. Ingredients were of high quality. I would definitely recommend the Unagi and Chefs Selection Nigiri. Competitively priced, but the menu doesnt mention their house rolls, which they can make on request. Id opt for those or the individual nigiri to get the best food for the price.

We found a new *(for us)* Japanese Sushi house to replace (unfortunately) our old favorite haunt, that recently closed its doors forever.... we tried Edoko Sushi & Robata in Frisco tonight and boy! We are glad we did! This place was a instant hit! The staff are all extremely friendly and inviting. Our server was named Jordan (we will be requesting him by name if he is on duty) A very impressive young man, very knowledgeable of everything we asked about on the menu. We took his advice on the menu and we where not disappointed, we explained the flavor combinations that where our favorites and then he made a few suggestions that we tried and they where indeed very delicious! We were super impressed with everything we tried of particular note was the Calamari Steak fingers (to die for), The California roll, The Edoko Fire Roll (my personal favorite so far) and my wifes current favorite The Temptation Roll equally delicious and you could seriously taste the freshness of the fish they used in all the rolls we sampled. But the true highlight of the evening was the Creme Brule (that Jordan also suggested) it was hands down the best we ever had in Dallas, possibly the best we have had In The United States. It was the penicle of dessert deliciousness, utterly outstanding. We have tried many from Texas to Florida and all States in between and it is one of our favorite go to desserts when we are in the mood and this was it # 1. *special not, they make and ferment their own house made soy sauce and it is better then anything Ive ever found in a grocery store. You can buy a bottle at the restaurant for a very reasonable price to take home as a souvenir. We did.

Fantastic experience for a great bday celebration date. The sushi was incredibly fresh and the Bluefin was outstanding. Service was the cheer on top. Our server Skye was helpful, pleasant and very attentive. Will absolutely put this place on our top 5 sushi places in DFW.

We first visited this restaurant upon a friends invitation, then came in a few times after. I must say though, the prices are exorbitant! Dont get me wrong the food is delicious but doesnt seem to merit what they ask for in price. 1 row of sushi, $16?? I would reccomend only dining here during happy hour M-Thur from 5 - 6:30, when the prices are more reasonable. We will definitely scout out other places for sushi in the future.

How have I not come here before. I have lived in this area for 16 years and never gone here, what a mistake that was. This is a very cool restaurant with different style seating areas, from traditional tables to funky shaped wrap around high back group couches. Each of these styles are in small rooms or areas making the experience seem more small and intimate. There is a Sushi Bar and a regular bar as well. Options for everyone. The Sushi was excellent no complaints, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I will be back very soon.

Had an amazing dinner here tonight. Our server and the staff was great and very friendly. Definitely felt taken care of! The food too was phenomenal. I feel like sushi is hit or miss in North Texas, but their fish was so good! The chefs 5pc sushi selection was a great way to go if you re trying to sample some different fish. The panic roll brought a nice heat with the sriracha and jalapeño, it too was very good. The green tea cheesecake could have used a little more green tea, however I think the cake it s self was wonderful. Not too rich like some cheesecakes and had a super nice, fluffy consistency. Overall, the restaurant itself had a nice vibe to it and bonus points for cool seating!

Dinner reservations for 4, Monday at 6pm. Great service, we had the best waitress! restaurant clean & great ambiance although entry & bathrooms do not smell pleasant. We ordered miso soup, gyoza, chicken fried rice, 4 sushi rolls & Creme brûlée & all of it was delicious! We especially loved the speechless, French kiss & Mori mori rolls! Speechless & French kiss rolls were on the HH menu!

Very nice place! Went here when I was staying at the Sheraton across the street. No reservations but you can be put on the waitlist. There are many tables or you can sit at one of the sushi bars in front of the chef. Restaurant is well lit though it looks dark from the outside. Portions are very generous and the prices are great for the quality. I recommend the tempuras and the grilled meats. We were too full to try the desserts. And they have ramuné! Great stuff.

Great selection of and Sashimi. Nice modern ambiance, yet the back dining room is quite secluded, and has a certain chill to it. Service was precise, yet refills came with less of a sense of urgency. Sip conservatively if youre the type to polish off a Moscow Mule, or a glass of lackluster iced tea in record time Weekend parking is heavy & sparse, as itsadjacent to a hotel. You might get that one anoccasion to be granted a spot near the entrance; if youre early ( pre dinner rush). Great Date Night spot with no mid 2000s auto-tune centered Pop tunes blaring through the Bose Surround Sound system.
