The Texas Inn is one of the best motels. We always have a great experience there. They will accommodate you with anything you need, extra pillows, blankets, towels, and anything else you may need. The pool is always open which I enjoy a lot. They greet everyone with a smile . I love this place. I recommend everyone stay here at the Texas Inn

This is going to be a novel so get ready. The nicest part of this hotel is the lobby that you will probably spend less than 10 minutes in youre entire stay. The bed is harder than a rock youre better off sleeping on the tile where its softer. There are no amenities whatsoever. There is an ice bucket in the room but no ice machine. No coffee maker in the room, its only in the lobby during morning hours (powder creamer and sugar are the only choices available)The cup is probably 6 oz they provided you with. Good for toddlers you like caffeine. Speaking of the morning, there is no breakfast at all. Not even the cheap Otis spunkmeyer blueberry muffins. They do have plates if you bring your own breakfast I guess. It shows there is a golf course on priceline but they dont mention its 5 miles from the hotel, not included obviously. The only positives are the ac worked well and it was a nice bathroom if you want to hang out there. The nicest part of this hotel is when you check out never to return. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Shame on Priceline for promoting this hotel. All positive reviews are from 6+ years ago. It was an awful experience. Stay at Motel 6 its much nicer.

The truth is I went because of a friend who stayed there. I dont know what the treatment and service of this hotel is like. But from what my friend told me, it is in good condition, presentable, friendly attention, good treatment and service. This is a very good location, very clean outside [I give those stars because I repeat, I did not stay there]

When we booked yesterday they told us that check-out was at 2 pm, they came to take us out at 11am and my husband went to the reception and in a very bad way he told him no, it was 11am, he told him ok, give us the chance to change, upload everything and The children then after 10 minutes they sent someone to take us out, we were almost there before leaving, then reception spoke to us, yelling at us, speaking badly to my daughter that at what time were we leaving because it was already too long, it was 11:20 and we were going to rent another day and We didnt even want to rent, let alone return due to the bad treatment.

Worst place to stay Manager is very rude doesnt even have the guts to communicate. The beds are hard and the tv remote didnt even work doesnt even have that many appliances for the price. When you shower the water smells like fish. They are racist and dont like children they charge for every person even children even for my newborn so the price for the hotel doubled up right away. Stay somewhere else not worth it.

BEYOND DISAPPOINTED with this establishment. I called and spoke to the manager about reserving a room. I was told there was a vacancy, so I made the reservation and paid for it. Mind you, the payment was instantaneously withdrawn from my account. I got this room for a friend of mine who has medical conditions and needed a place to stay due to no electricity because of Hurricane Hanna. Well, she gets to the hotel and the manager told her the room was cancelled. I never got a call telling me it was cancelled. The manager said there were so many walkins that came in. I said it doesn t matter. I spoke to you on the phone just 30minutes ago about securing the room. If I secured the room before any of these walkins, the reservation should be honored!! Well, she did not honor it, and I had to call hotels.com to arrange getting a refund that is going to take a week to get. Why can t it be returned as instantaneously as it was withdrawn?! In speaking to the manager, she was rude and very unprofessional. I will NEVER even contemplate reserving a room here ever again. Completely disappointed with the process, lack of professionalism, and POOR customer service!!!!

This place is by far the best Ive stayed at in the Harlingen area. Room has everything needed for a stay, parking right outside my door so I can see my truck from the window, no sketchy people hanging around. The air conditioner keeps the entire room nice and cold which is what I love when I sleep! I give this place 5 stars and recommend it for anyone looking forba place to stay. South Padre Island is only about half an hour away ^__^

As soon as I open door to room and played on bed sheets smelled like mildew the cover bedspread smelled like warm pits. Decent hotel. Gets demoted stars because I was really annoyed last night from the highway traffic, right next to us, and there were people coming in all throughout the night with absolutely no regard to the people trying to sleep at 3 am. HORRIBLE.... CONSIDER THIS A WARNING I don t even have a stay to describe because the taxi I had to take from the airport (because the shuttle was not available )could not get into the parking lot due to a massive puddle from earlier flooding this week. the lazy surly woman at the desk refused to call for help (no manager?) and refused to help me problem solve (I could see half a dozen pickup trucks on the lot that could have picked me up in 1 minute and I even offered to pay) AND refused to refund my room. Did I mention it was midnight and I m a woman traveling solo. ZERO accountability or effort to help out someone who had ALREADY PAID and I ended up taking another $50 cab ride two towns over at 1 am in order to find a room at 3X the price because I had an important meeting in the morning to prep for. I travel a lot and this ordeal was one of the poorest excuses in hospitality I have ever been experienced -certainly worst in the US.

Employees nice/friendly, room clean, comfy, couch was junk, cushions torn ( trashy look) Not much available for brkfst, but had plans to eat out. Great place to stay! The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Except possibly the bed which was a little hard for my taste, as were their pillows. The continental breakfast was fresh and promptly made available at 6:30. Check-in was easy, check-out was a snap. we will stay at Texas Inn again...I will just bring my own pillow next time!

Found the Texas Inn after stopping by other area Inns in Harlingen. Looked at the others even checked out their rooms and drove on. Then pulled into the Texas Inn and was impressed with everything we saw. Had big smiles on our faces just looking at the outside. Then we went in to talk to the people at the desk and it just keep getting better. Great people and prices. Went to look at the room...and was sold. Very clean, big fridge, big TV, new air/heating units, tub/shower. Pool area was first rate. Not a single piece of litter anywhere on the entire property. Could not have been any better.

THE ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN,SPACIOUS AND AFFORDABLE. THEY HAVE ALL THE AMENITIES FRIDGE, MICROWAVE, IRON,IRONING BOARD, COFFEE MAKER, TABLE, NICE SOFT TOWELS, BIG TV, NICE COMFY BED, SOME ROOMS HAVE A COUCH, I COULDNT OF ASKED FOR A BETTER HOTEL!!! THE POOL AND HOT TUB WERE VERY NICE. WE USED THE BARBQUE PIT THAT THEY HAVE THERE AND RELAXED OUTSIDE FOR HOURS. ITS LIKE A MAYBE 40 MINUTE DRIVE TO SOUTH PADRE ISLAND. THIS PLACE IS OUR 2ND HOME. WE LIKE STAYING AT THE TEXAS INN EVERY TIME WE GO TO HARLINGEN. OUR ROOM IS ALWAYS CLEAN AND SO ARE THE GROUNDS. THE PERSONNEL IS FANTASTIC!! Have stayed here a lot over the month of September and the rooms are always clean, the grounds are kept up, and it is close to just about everything. highly recommend. the parking lot is a little small but it is manageable, they are in the process of upgrading the tvs to flat screens. I do wish the beds were not so hard and that they had more than one washer and dryer.
