I had flown all the way from England on holiday to Texas. I was heavily recommended to eat at Pappadeaux at my dismay. Oh how wrong I was proven. Carys provided me with such great service that I was utterly blown away. The food was good however Carys attentive behaviour ensured that I experienced more than just a restaurant, I experienced hospitality. I wasnt too sure what to get but Carys recommendation really enriched my palate. I will make sure to recommend this place to all my friends, family, and colleagues, I hope they get to be served by Carys just as I was. 10/10, will dine again.

We were able to make an online reservation which was great! Arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule a d got seated immediately by the Hostess. Balazs was our server. Greeted us with a smile and very friendly and professional. He checked on us often and was pleasant. Food was great as usual! Had the side house salad with creamy vinaigrette dressing, seafood gumbo, shrimp etouffee, and the crawfish platter. Delicious as always. Enjoyed a great night out.

I had just flown into Dallas for the first time and on a recommendation, from a good friend, I gave this restaurant a try and to be frank it was NOT a mistake. This was our first time at Pappadeauxs and it was truly an excellent and beautiful experience. Our servers name was Yvette and she was the best! We never felt rushed at all. I ordered seafood gumbo and a Cesar salad. The shrimp on the gumbo. Still had the shell on the. So when you bite into the gumbo. You would feel a very sharp, crunchy, horrible shell. The salad tasted as if the lettuce was unwashed. It was gross. We asked to speak to a manager. But they never came to the table. We paid for the food, and when we proceeded to leave. A lady supervisor told us to have a wonderful day. I nodded my head, and she yelled HAVE GOOD DAY! Five times! So loud and rudely. Several other guests started to stare as if there was a problem. Its was quite embarrassing. I dont recommend going to this location. Unless you like unproperly prepared food. That can get you sick. With a rude careless disrespectful domineering staff. That will embarrasse you for their own pleasure.

What is there not to like about Pappadeauxs. Excellent seafood, great cocktails, enjoyable and knowledgeable service. You are greeted and felt welcome from the moment you walk through the front entrance. Plenty of seating for any size party, plenty of space, great atmosphere. The waiter I had was knowledgeable on items on the menu and told me about special items that werent on the menu. He periodically checked on without interference and was very professional. I felt good tipping him generously afterward. An overall excellent experience. I will definitely be going back again. Dietary restrictions: Although its a seafood restaurant, there are a couple of great choices for those who have dietary restrictions. There are also great rice and vegetable sides that one can choose from

Shrimp and fries. Fries were soggy and had no salt. No catchup. Shimp, ok. Bread needs to be baked, but I was not told that. In hospital, so this was a problem. Etouffee was dry, not much sauce. Hot and ready! The food came out smoking hot. I had the shrimp and crawfish fondue for an appetizer. As usual it was amazing. The entree was the Pontchartrain Grilled Redfish. It was delicious! However, the Birmingham, Al does this dish best. This one was not a grilled. It was good but didn t have the grilled taste. The blackened shrimp on top was slightly too salty. I have to say this is our favorite restaurant - ever. We went here the evening of the day we were married. We revisit every year on our anniversary. We go when we have reason to celebrate something. We go when we just want to treat ourselves. The two most beautiful locations we go are in Arlington, Texas, and in Fort Worth, Texas off of I30. We visit this location, however, the most and appreciate it as much as the others. The food, service, and atmosphere are like taking a mini vacation. The wait staff is always top notch. The food is beyond elegant; choc full of flavor and creativity. The bar is always hopping and good fun. The beautiful atmosphere takes me away, even if for a little while.

After having a horrible experience at the Dallas Airport, we just needed something to eat. Theres a plethora of places in the vicinity, and more being added, so it was difficult to choose. We kinda-ish settled on here. I will tell you it was definitely a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was fitting for this Sailor with Gentlemanly ways. The service was really, really good. Definitely not indicative of the previous encounters. The other patrons were enjoying themselves as well and seemed to be a good mix of established people. This place could actually do good being rented out for an evening if you had a good-sized family reunion or semi-formal event. Oh, and the food was great, too!

But yesterday I went with my girlfriend and usually everyone is respectful and polite but this time I had some waitress that wasnt serving me complaining while we were waiting on our table how its annoying that people sit at the bar table waiting for our table. She continued on a rant about how she gets paid $10 a hr, I respect people who work as servers because I could never rely on tips. Her rant about how she makes $10 a hr just made me think well find another job then lady like nobody is forcing you to work. Like what lady you want me to stand or sit in the 95 degree weather and sweat my more polite words butt off. This was a turn off and made me want to leave, but I know how good their food is . . . so I sat and endured her rant. If you havent had a Pappadeaux I highly recommend it. My team had lunch there today and while the food was decent, the service really left alot to be desired! I ordered Blackened Salmon Alexander which was cooked to perfection, however the side of broccalini was barely steamed and had no taste at all. I didnt eat it. Two of my colleagues ordered the blackened salmon chopped salads, but the salmon came to the table grilled and unseasoned. They notified the server and requested that they receive the blackened salmon that they ordered. Instead of replacing the entire entree with the correctly prepared salmon, the server decided to just remove their fish off of their salads and then brought the same fish back to the table with seasoning sprinkled on top! Needless to say, it was sent back once again. Very disappointing experience!

Found this place by mistake. Thought I should try some Cajun food while here. I havent had some good Cajun food in a while, so this was a no-brainer. From the moment i walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. This place is pretty big, and it was kinda full. Of course you come to a seafood restaurant and eat chicken, right? Well, I did. I was in the mood for some Cajun chicken with red beans and rice. My waiter, Scott, hooked me up. He recommended the large chicken tenderloin order and made it a combo, fried and Cajun. As you can see from the photo, this was a large serving, and better than you would think. I totally enjoyed it. The food and the service were both excellent. I will be back to try some other dishes. First time to a Pappadeaux in about 8 years. The gumbo was great. I got the Grouper and my girlfriend got the blackened Catfish. My dish was too salty. My girlfriends Catfish was so salty she could only eat half of her meal. For what they charge for the food, this was terrible. Our server was slow and inattentive. Wont be going back.

The Grapevine, TX Location is awesome! Fully staffed and the decor of the restaurant and seating is very nice! Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and made suggestions and was just very gracious in her service to us! The food was wonderful and beverage choices too! Kid-friendliness: Yes

Food was good as usual. But, I feel its losing that LA flavor a little. For example, red beans shouldnt all be whole. Some should open to give the flavor. These were all whole and sweet. Not a good representation of red beans and rice( from a Lafayette native.. the heart of creole cooking). Overall still better than most.

I had a take out through curbside and the service was exceptional, no items missing. Pasta Mardi Gra delicious, seafood Cobb salad exceptional. Crab Gumbo excellent, the new shrimp style spring rolls great but the peanut sauce just needed a tad more peanut flavor. Only issue I have is 3 visits in a row my greek dressing isnt shaken before you pour in the Togo container. Resulting in me receiving mostly oil. So I get home and cant eat salad dressing having to use my own. I pick your salads and dressing for a reason. So while that has been disappointing, I have enjoyed everything else. Please bring back the Praline Cheesecake!

We have never been treated so rudely in a fairly nice restaurant! All the tables around us were brought bread. Even after our food arrived, we didnt have any bread. When we asked for bread, the server apologized and said the manager would be angry if he brought us bread without requesting it first. But the worst part was how we were rushed through our meal. The server kept coming by asking to remove plates we were still eating from. Finally, he took away the bread and tried to take my plate as I was eating the last few vegetables. Again, he said the manager was watching very closely tonight. SO WHAT! Why would the manager want to rush patrons out. No one was waiting to be seated. I began to wonder if the fact that we didnt order any beverages from the bar and only ordered one meal to share targeted us for such rude service. We are seniors and dont eat as much as we used to. The table next to us was seated before we arrived and still seated when we left. But they had bar drinks and 3 full meals...with bread! This happened the evening of May 19, if owners care to see who was manager that night. Very unprofessional service should not be condoned in Pappadeaux.

On 5/18/24. We attempted to dine in the evening about 9pm. I had a line of sight view to the kitchen and observed the cook with no gloves and a manager wearing a dark pink shirt with a lanyard with no gloves dig their hands into a plate fries and eat them. At first I thought this was an employees plate. BUT, were using the fries to make plates to serve to guests; my plate being one of the plates. The cook even got ketchup to eat with his fries. When my husband confronted the manager she admitted to eating the fries and she immediately apologized repeatedly and said they would remake the food. We declined and left immediately . That was inappropriate and unsanitary . If I had videoed this it would have gone viral because it was unbelievable. Our server was amazing and we had no issues with her just want to point out the ones in the wrong .

LET ME TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED I have eaten at this location many many times. Tonight, from where my wife & I were sitting, we watched a cook and the manager eating from customers plate (fries)! As a matter of fact, it ended up being my wifes plate! I confronted the manager & she actually admitted to doing it. She had the audacity to offer to remake our food. Seriously? Is this how we run a restaurant? I will NEVER eat at this location, probably any other location for that matter, again. Freaking disgusting!

I wish we have one in Oklahoma City. I love the shrimp bruschetta and the grits its sooo good . I could eat here every day I dont care about the cost lol thats what I work for to eat what I wanted lol. The best seafood place !!! And the cream Brulee is phenomenal

I usually don t go to this place because I never liked the food but I went with a friend today. The food was really good. However, the service was not as good. We sat for 25 minutes waiting for a waiter to come and just take our drink order. I had to go back to the desk to ask them if we were going to get one. They told me yes and we waited a few more minutes. Meanwhile all of the waiters around us were taking orders and taking quick looks at our table. We couldn t understand what was going on. We saw a group of them in a huddle looking at us but non of them came to assist us. A few minutes later, we got a waiter. He was very clumsy. He spilled drinks while bringing them. They served us bread but no plates to eat it on. We sat for a few more minutes and when our waiter returned we ask for them. The waiter made small jokes during our visit. He wasn t rude or anything but I could tell he was trying to lighten the mood. However it didn t work for us. We had already received bad service and felt like we were somehow a problem to them. I m not sure what the problem was. We weren t rude or anything. We simply just wanted to enjoy a good meal after a long day of starving at work. Again the food was good. Just not the service.

My meal (rainbow trout and shrimp) was absolutely terrible. The service was okay. Its hard to tell what this restaurant wants to be...a few parts of it are on the fancy side, and the food is expensive, but its not terribly comfortable, its loud, and quality is lacking.
