My wife and I were going to The Stockyards today. A detour took us by Rays. The music pulled us in. We stopped, danced in the parking lot and left. Stockyards were packed so we figured why not go back and have a beer. Let me just say it was a GOOD CALL! Deejay G and his wife Tonya ( the owner) showed us True Southern Hospitality. I always enjoy going to Rays. Its my favorite Ft Worth place to go for listening to Tejano music. And most importantly, Ive never encountered any problems; Ive never witnessed any fights, or people getting out of hand.

Went to Rays tonight and had a great time. Dj Dakotas Karaoke was so much fun cant wait to do it again next Wednesday. Over all great place for chillen with friends friendly bar tender nice clean place I give it 5 stars and I highly recommend this place.

The customers in this bar usually start coming in around 930 and stay till closing it is mostly spanish orented with djs tecno on the outside patio part but music transfers inside also you can have a good time there for the younger crowds I would say but older people still come to enjoy the music.

The good: it is a hole in the wall beer joint in the heart of Fort Worth with a great server who is funny and friendly. They clearly have regulars that they know well. A place where everybody knows your name. The bad: they dont take credit cards and they only serve a limited variety of beers. So, if youre looking for a quaint, small place where nobody can or will judge, you have cash on hand, and drink domestic beers...this is a gem. Otherwise, youll be pretty disappointed.
