I did not receive any documentation of negotiations during mediation or any explanation of the drafted Settlement Agreement from the Sisemore Law Firm attorney prior to my signing the agreement. My legal counsel failed to disclose financial information received from opposing counsel, failed to collect prorated property taxes due, failed to subtract my half equity in the community property vehicle from the market value causing me to pay full market value, failed to accurately determine the buyout amount of the community residential property, and failed to tell me until I was at mediation that I could have a financial consultant present at mediation. In addition, Justin Sisemore had emailed me regarding my negative reviews of their representation of me for my divorce and threatened to turn my communications over to legal to take further action for libelous statements contained in my reviews. I do not recommend that anyone hire Justin Sisemore or Curran Skinner to represent them in a family law case. They failed in their representation of me as their client and I believe that their actions were unethical in the handling of my divorce case from Mediation through the signing of the divorce decree by the judge as I would not sign the decree.

There are so many mistakes on paperwork every time. Even when i asked to have it corrected before submitting it, they didnt. They charge you for things they never sent you, and when you ask for a bill, be prepared to get a bill for that. Worst experience and check your billing.

We worked with Sisemore to finalize the adoption of our son, which I recognize is not what most people come to Sisemore for. Unfortunately, our experience was not positive. Communication was limited. We had to reach out ourselves frequently for updates rather than receiving proactive communication about our case or required next steps. In fact, we never even spoke to an attorney - always communicating through a paralegal. The only time we saw our lawyer was unceremoniously at our 5-minute finalization hearing on Zoom. We were emailed the examination script only hours before the hearing. No prep. No run-through. Adoption finalization is likely not a big money-maker for Sisemore and unfortunately we were treated as such. I wouldn t recommend retaining them for this type of case. Two stars because our case did, at least, ultimately result in a successful finalization of our adoption.

I recently retained Justin Sizemore and Mike. Ill start by saying, This has been one of the most challenging experiences in my life. I did extensive research on attorneys and this is where it took me. I called them with tears running down my face because I knew what It meant. I thought my divorce was going to be amicable, but turns out otherwise. I tried to play ball in her court and play by her rules, but I got bit. I went in feeling very hurt, defeated, and I had no hope. Justin and Mike gave me confidence. they are quick whitted, and immediately began going to work. I looked behind me and I saw a team of some of the most skilled attorneys and incredible human beings I have met backing me. Family law is all they do and they are masters of their craft. They know when to hold and when to fold and how to build a case. Some of the most thorough family law attorneys I have ever met. I find it unfortunate that a couple can turn years of love into hatred but if you find yoursel(like me) in need of a advocate, I would not want anyone else stepping into the arena with me.

I transferred into Sisemore when I realized I wasnt getting the communication I desperately needed from my original lawyer. I know these attorneys deal with the intricacies of divorce everyday, but when its your own life in the balance its a pretty raw experience and I needed someone to help keep me level-headed. I was fortunate to have my case land on Kevins desk. From the outset, he answered every question I had, no matter how convoluted (often) or straightforward (rare), with compassion, understanding, and honesty. He managed my expectations throughout the process, offering me a series of possible outcomes and alternatives at every juncture so that I could make the most informed decision about each next step. I felt like I had a real advocate and someone willing to go to bat for the things that were most critical to me. My estranged husband and his lawyer filed for divorce months before i was actually served. I had to find a lawyer very quickly. Im military and had to find someone who could work with me being out of town and my busy military schedule. This law firm exceeded all of my expectations. my questions and emails were always answered. I was given an expenses list before I signed the contract or gave a retainer. Their prices are about what one would expect from a divorce lawyer and I wouldnt want anyone representing me that was too cheap or too expensive. Once they took on my case, they worked tirelessly for me. My ex-husband and his lawyer were extremely uncooperative and wouldnt answer phone calls or emails from my lawyers but they worked around them until finally I was granted my divorce on my terms. I was initially represented my Zoe Meigs, who was very good at what she did and very passionate about my case. She later retired and Samantha Wommack took over. She is a hard charger! Within a month of her taking over my case, she had gotten my ex to agree to a final divorce agreement and prevented us from having to go to court for a final trial. I couldnt have asked for better representation.

Contacted their office today to set a time to speak with a lawyer to determine if this firm would be the firm to represent my interests. I was advised the thirty minute consultation is $200. I have a hunch this firm is either incredibly busy or they simply forgot as a consumer, we choose who to move ahead with. Justin Sisemore is an amazing and gifted attorney. He is doing what he was born to do. He just took me through a very difficult divorce with an extremely contentious ex husband. During the year and a half leading up to the final trial there were many situations that required Justin to be prepared and ready to fight for me. The opposing council was an arrogant and pompous attorney that Justin had no problem staying ahead of. Watching him battle against this man was in itself gratifying as I was able to see a huge display of his skill level and professionalism. I was so proud of him and so were my friends and family who came to support me. I am an older lady and though no one wants or plans to have divorce happen in their lives, for someone my age it is especially scary. Prior to the final trial Justin prepared me as my own son would have by being as tough with me as he could be. I sometimes thought I wouldnt get through it but as it turned out I was prepared, which was always his main goal. There was a pre-nuptial agreement and the opposing council was as ferocious and obnoxious as they come but Justins way of handling him was a joy to experience. Justin is a fighter but in a good way. He is smart and savvy with a great deal of passion, and I am so glad he was not the attorney working for my ex husband! He was an answer to prayer. He fought for me to keep my home and got me a decent amount of spousal maintenance, which from my understanding is challenging to get in the state of Texas. If you want a winner and someone who is on top of his game when it counts the most then you want Justin. His firm was always courteous and Pam Wilder worked amazingly well along side him in the courtroom. They balance each other out with different strengths. Justin took my case on a Friday with my court date being on Monday. He quickly read and assessed my situation and handled it with delicacy and professionalism. He worked through the weekend and came to court personally 100% prepared. He went above and beyond to make sure that our issue was resolved. Not only did he provide excellent service, he also showed me that he cared by offering personal advice based on his own experiences and really cares about his clients. If you are walking into a Family Law office likely something bad is going on in your life. I was unfortunately in that position this year. Going through divorce is tough and everyone s circumstances are vastly different and I realize that. I interviewed 6 attorneys around Fort Worth, including all of the attorney s that are considered the best divorce attorneys in town. I left the initial meeting with Justin Sisemore confident he would do a good job in getting me through this situation. My gut instinct was right. He and his team, including attorney Samantha Wommack, did a great job. My situation turned out about as I expected in a positive way. From the first meeting he had a plan. We discussed and had a plan for all of my fears and what I considered threats against my assets. He planned for and neutralized all of those. Would not at all Recommend this Firm. The Lawyer assigned to my case, did Nothing to Fight for my right to see my daughters. The case continued to get worst without any fight or defense from my Lawyer. Only to find out once I hired a new Law Firm, that my lawyer went behind my back without me knowing it and signed away my right and access to my children. Took 4 months of trying to contact my Lawyer only to receive no replay or an reply with one sentence. I trusted this Firm to get me in the best position I could to be apart of my Childrens life only to be constantly let down. I spent well over the initial amount of the retainer only to have no progress or anything at that point. I am beyond Thankful for the fact that this failure lead me into changing firms and hiring my new lawyer and within less than a month, my case got extremely better and I got to see my kids. This Firm does not fight for you, I had also recommend this firm in the beginning to another friend, only for him to go through the exact same thing. Maybe Not all of the Lawyers here are bad, But the one I received and my friend received as well, she was absolutely Horrible. Out of Respect for the Lawyers Name, I will not Put that one here. But I hardly felt like she cared about me and the best interest for me and my Children. At some points, I had to try to Convince her to Fight for me out of frustration of the Lack of Communications and the lack of fight for me. I hope This Firm looks at the numbers of withdrawals from this Firm with that Lawyer being the one who represented them. This is my Life I trusted them with, only to be let down in such a way that Forgiveness is a hard pill to swallow. I am Beyond thankful for my Choice to Change Firms. Now I have a great shot in winning my case and it has improved so much in a months time, than 8 months I spent here with my Lawyer and this Firm. When dealing with your relationship with your children, your life, you should not have to convince your Lawyer to fight for you. No matter what mistakes you have made or didnt make, your Lawyer should have the drive and fight and the ethics to make sure you are best represented. Not Sign your Rights away without you knowing and not telling you over 4 months why you can not see you Children. Because of the Lack of anything from my Lawyer and the money I wasted here, I have even reached out to other outlets to express my frustration and my complaints. These High Ranking outlets have supported my Complaint and agreed my Lawyer did not act in a ethical way in dealing with my Case.

I would highly recommend Jerold Mitchell for any family law matter. I hired Jerold to handle a divorce for my mother outside DFW in the fall of 2016, and even paying the travel expenses was worth every penny. Jerold took the time to explain how the entire process worked, and what we could expect from my step fathers attorney. When we did have to appear in court, Jerold was extremely proficient and very knowledgeable, and after several failed attempts by the opposing counsel to get the upperhand, Jerold was able to obtain a very favorable outcome for my mother. I would HIGHLY recommend this law firm to anyone looking. My lawyer, Jerold Mitchell, handled my divorce case about as well as I could have possibly imagined. I had never had a need for a lawyer before this in my life, but Jerold far exceeded my expectations. Not only was he always FAR more prepared for each court hearing than the opposing counsel, he also made himself readily available to answer any and all questions I had (and it was a bunch) throughout my divorce process. I went in for my initial consultation and spoke with Justin in regards to getting custody of my daughters from a previous divorce. He made it sound like an easy case and told me he would give my case to Pam. Two weeks later before I hired Sisemore Law Firm I asked if I could speak with Pam. When I went back two weeks later they set up my appointment up with Justin again. I was concerned because I was wanting to speak with Pam since she was going to handle my case. He reassured me my case was not going to be that hard. I paid the retainer and then they had me create an alternate email address for correspondence with their firm. Went to court a couple of weeks later and it was not what i was expecting at all. As a matter of fact it was the first time I even met my attorney Pam. Supposedly she had already spoke with the exes attorney the day before and was telling me about 50/50 custody. I told her I wasnt interested in 5050 custody. I told her I was expecting to have a hearing to get custody. She later explained that she had to get the courts permission in order to let the judge listen to my children. So she had my court date reset for another two weeks later. 6 days before my second court date she attempts to call me I was at work so I couldnt answer my phone. She emails me later telling me the Judge refuses to interview my children and would rather call on them to testify. Pam also tells me the exes attorney doesnt think its in the childrens best interest to testify. Pam tells me the ex-wife is still interested in 5050. I responded to her email telling Pam I would be available all day Friday and I wasnt sure what a good time is for me to call her. I waited Friday for Pam to call she didnt. I received a monthly billing statement from the Sisemore law firm before noon. When i received the bill I figured she might be in the office so i called within 5 minutes. The person on the phone says she is gone for the day. I was amazed because the day before she made it sound so dire that we talked and I told her via email I was available all day Friday. So she either didnt read her email or she didnt care to talk. Next time I tried talking to her was Monday my court date was Wednesday. Monday when I called person answers the phone tells me Pam stepped away from her desk I ask if she could leave a message such as if she is back within 15 minutes if she could have Pam called me. An hour and a half goes by I have yet to hear from Pam, so I attempt to call her again this time the person answering the phone tells me she is in court. I then ask to speak with Justin and tell him my frustrations with this whole process because it is nothing like he explained to me when I hired their law firm. I told him I wanted to drop the case. If anything I felt like Pam didnt want to take my case in the first place because maybe my case wasnt really that strong. If that was the case why did Justin make it sound like a no-brainer. Justin has confidence as if he is Tom Cruise maybe thats why this firm allows him to do initial consults. On the other hand I felt Pam was more concerned about what the ex wanted. It would be easier for me and the ex to come to an agreement but 5050 is not what I wanted, thats why I hired them in the first place. I was their client for two months and I spoke with Pam only once, my initial court date. Everything else was through email. My situation: My 15yr old daughter lived with me for Jan and Feb 2017 and wanted to live with me. The ex is no druggie or alcoholic, she does do some things that make you wonder from time to time. Hired Sisemore firm March 10 told them I wanted to cancel April10 it is now May 1 2017. 4500 dollars later no better off then when I started just time and money spent. I was surprised when they billed me for me not even answering my phone cause I was at work.

I went to this law firm due to its google reviews but I couldnt disagree more with the positive comments. I arrived to this place and was kept waiting for 40 minutes without an explanation I was finally called back and the guy told me to wait AGAIN he finally came back and apologized for having me wait for him this time. He began to speak extremely fast using all these legal terms that I didnt understand and finally stopped and said alright well gather 3,800 and come back and see us I wasnt even allowed to ask questions cuz he was just trying to get me out of there repeating gather 3,800 and come back and see us. Complete waste of time I couldve heard that over the phone without having to waste time going to this damn place. I wish I could give them no stars that guy is complete trash as a human I get that consulation is free but if you dont wanna do free consultations DO NOT OFFER IT, SIMPLE SOLUTION.

Justin Sisemore & Associates are AMAZING!!! When I showed up in his office I was scared of my own shadow. I was a mess and willing to give up anything and everything to protect my kids but, Justin was never going to let that happen. He helped me to toughen up so I could do the things I needed to for my kids and myself. He put together a perfect agreement that protected my children, what little we had left, and provided for us financially. He knew what we needed even when I didnt. My kids and I are so thankful for all the work Justin did for us. Our life wouldnt be what it is today if it were not for his foresight. Justin didnt have to do all he did but, he will think ahead for you when you just cant do it for yourself. If you need things to be done right the FIRST time there is no one else I would recommend.
