Very new, different feel, and different takes on familiar foods. Burgers are very good, but they have their own unique sauces to give a distinctive flavor. Very friendly service and especially nice outdoor patio. Prices are a little bit pricey on some things. The basket of fries is pretty good. Vegetarian options: Vegan smash burger.

I know its the same folks, but Tropic Lady is so much better than the Bearded Lady. The negative reviewers really give off that vibe of, I didnt understand that I had to order at the bar. It was new and scary, so I hated it. Dude, these fries and the aioli are worth coming back for on their own. Theyve got great drinks too! Weve been a few times and have not had a single bad experience.

I always enjoy when my husband picks places - he always finds these gems! To start - this place was ranked one of top romantic spots in Ft Worth. Now, I m not going to say it s not romantic - this was the cutest place! Full of wonderful photo ops, beautiful paintings, just an overall great ambiance. But this is a burger joint - so it s not a place you ll need to come in, in your Sunday best. My husband told me we were going to a romantic spot - I was surprise it wasn t what I thought but again, I loved this place it just wasn t what I expected. We came on a quiet Sunday evening - beautiful entry, we seated ourselves and stopped at the bar on the way to our booth. Bartender was who took our drink order as well as our food. Not sure if this is the normal setup or that way if it s slower. Unfortunately he didn t have a name tag but he was great. We ordered the smash burger and tropic last smash. Honestly, we were thrown off by the special pink aioli but man, it was delicious. This is my husband s 2nd fav smash burger ever! My curly fries were so dang crispy! The best! I had a pink lady cocktail and it was great! Not too strong, not too sweet, just PERFECT! My husband had a Hi Seltzer and he just thought it was okay. All in all, a WONDERFUL visit. Cute, fun, delicious. We will definitely make this a regular place in our burger rotation. Parking: We parked on the back side of the restaurant - there was plenty of parking there.

i m a neighbor that walks to this restaurant and I have never had a better sweet potato french fries than i had at Tropic Lady. i just love the burgers too and i especially want to say thank you to my awesome bartender Mahogany. check this place out and get a frozen margarita with your meal. you will love it!!!

The thing about hipsters opening up restaurants is that the food is either absolutely fantastic or just ok enough to not not eat it, and no matter what end of the spectrum youre on, its overpriced. Unfortunately, this was the ladder. The tacos were not good. The refried black beans werent really refried black beans, and the flavor was not good so I scraped them off of my tacos just to be able to eat them. The sweet potato fried were way overcooked. My husband did enjoy his burger so that was good but his fries were overcooked. The flavor profiles of everything I ate was a miss. Nothing special stood out as uniquely good that would make me return. There really isnt any service other than ordering and the bringing your food so dont expect waiters. The atmosphere was pretty cool. The decor was really dope but there is a light above the table we sat at that was flickering. If you have epilepsy then Id be careful about that

Stopped by during the wait for Tesoro and so glad I did! This bar is very inclusive from LGBTQIA community to the free feminine products in the restroom (at least the women s. I didn t go in the men s.) Drinks were interesting and fun! I definitely want to go back!

Went here for the first time yesterday, and came back today. Lots of vegetarian options that have been fun to try. Good size portions that leave you feeling full. The smash burgers were great, tacos were yummy and good size, and the trio dip was great too. Came for the food and it didn t disappoint. Would definitely come back. Atmosphere was also super cute, trendy vibes.

Really loved the atmosphere, it had really great vibe!! Reminded me of an old school diner mixed with maximalist style. The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful! I had the Nachos Supreme and a mexican cola. For the nachos, the presentation was super cute but the ratio between toppings and chips was not the best, there was a lot of chips leftover. The taste was okay but was a bit dry.

Fantastically tasty and creative foods in a super fun tropical aesthetic. Full service bar with unique offerings including several boozeless, THC-infused beverages. This is a large, beautiful, fun restaurant with tons of seating inside and outside on three patios. Tropical Lady would be a great spot to rent for a private party. Vegetarian options: Several inviting vegetarian options like the watermelon salad. Parking: Race St. is very walkable and has bike lanes as well.

Just like the sister Bearded Lady, Tropic Lady is a rad place. Their house hibiscus marg is amazing! The bacon wrapped pineapple and dip trio is also worth ordering. Their food is worth their menu prices, and so are their drinks. The inside is clean a good place to take out of towners. Will be back

Come here with my fiancé and we were blown away, the laidback tropical vibe is relaxing, and the drinks are cold. The meat quality is similar to fast food and the sauce added to the burger adds nothing to the flavor. Mayo and mustard can apparently be added with packets. I hope they have deep pockets. Neighborhood traffic will have to be their salvation. Sarah the owner/bartender does have charm.

My man had the burger and I had a bite of it --- it was fantastic!!! I had the chicken sandwich and this was so awesome, that I will have to come back to eat again. Glad we found his place - the vintage thrift store across the street recommended and so glad we came. Stop across the street and see the back of the vintage store while you are there.

Food and drinks were good, but the service was horrible. Walked in and it was empty, my friend and I sat at the stand for a few minutes and the two bartenders never greeted us, eventually asked if we can sit anywhere and they said yeah just come up to order when you re ready . If it wasn t for the service this place would be really great.

I ordered a side of sweet potato fries and they were burnt, hard and really dry. I was excited to try the lil pink lady and that thing was extremely tart, could not finish it. Workers there are pretty nice, but can t believe they okayed giving me fries like that or having that drink as an option in their menu lol :( sucks but it was a waste of money and driving up here, I would not come back.

Showed up and nobody greeted us. Lady with the nose ring just looked at us..never greeted us or said we are an order at the bar restaurant, not overly friendly. Just visited the Tropic Lady for the first time. Absolutely loved the atmosphere. A very clean and spacious restaurant keenly decorated with absolutely delicious food!!! My double patty burger was on a sweet Hawaiian bun with grilled pineapple and honey bacon. Absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommend it. A very relaxing place to dine and visit with friends.

My friends and I were really excited to try this place because it had some great reviews online. Now, I question whether they were employees or managers posing as customers. Right from the start, it was unenjoyable. It seemed as if the AC was broken or maybe they keep it at a balmy 85 for the tropical atmosphere. None of us were greeted, and we all came in a different times. I was told to order everything at the bar so I walked up there and did so. Very little interaction from staff who could not have been less personable. At any given point one to two staff members, of which there were only three, were on their phones. When our food was brought out the young girl who delivered it was very curt and seemed almost annoyed that she had to help us. My salad was mediocre best. One of my friend s sandwiches was so bad that he couldn t even finish it. However, burger was OK. We were disappointed because we do love the Bearded Lady, but we will not be returning to the Tropic Lady. And if I m being totally honest, I doubt it lasts year.

Me and my girlfriend went as huge fans and supporters of near Southside and the businesses there. We love bearded lady for its atmosphere, but hate it for its servers and I m disappointed to say the owners didn t listen to any feedback about service. It s the same terrible servers from bearded lady. It s also not really a sister business but rather a completely different concept that loses all identity to the only thing that makes bearded lady good. It s effectively self serve. Food came out in less that 5 minutes. With meat that s extremely suspicious and now I know it s not made to order. Drinks were thrown at us by that same server with a mustache that s also at Bearded.

Tropic Lady is the latest concept by the ownership of one of South Main s favorite spots, The Bearded Lady. Tropic is such a fun spot with great food and awesome people. They ve got a fun bar right in the middle of the restaurant with all the fun stuff, including domestic beers, plenty of craft beer offerings, and a menu of delicious drinks that will make you feel like you re in an island bar somewhere in the Caribbean. Definitely have the shrimp tacos and the Queso, and grab yourself a cocktail and enjoy this great spot off Race street!

The lack of hospitality, subpar drinks, flies swarming the patio and food, the misrepresentation of the jerk chicken, which lacked the authentic Jamaican flavor, and the excessive seasoning made for a disappointing meal. Additionally, the managers raised voice when i questioned the poor service it was very unacceptable. Furthermore, the prolonged wait and forgotten drink replacement only added to the frustration of the experience.

This place is awesome. The atmosphere is spectacular and I can tell so much love and thought went into every little detail! This place is perfectly on theme, from the patio to the bar to the bathrooms. We came here and have almost tried everything on the menu and everything was awesome! Huge fan of the mango guacamole & the burgers. The drinks were also delicious. You can t beat the pink lady margarita and the do you like pina coladas drink is amazing and light and perfect for summer time. I m hoping to see this place thrive! Ive always enjoyed Bearded Lady, so naturally I had to visit their new concept, Tropic Lady. Its been open for only a week, but Ive been here twice already. I love it! Located on Race St. in the Riverside neighborhood, it has a light, colorful, and tropical theme--obviously!--and the food, staff, and ambience are all outstanding. The 50s surfer rock is groovy. My wife and I had dinner there this evening. We got the dip trio, double smashburger, and piña colada. The burger had delicious grilled pineapple, a blue cheese sauce, and caramelized onions.
