We are in town for a convention. This place was recommended by our hotel. It was fantastic. The food had the best flavor and our waiter James was the best. The other female waiter was awesome as well. Although James was super busy, he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were taken care of . We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

I am giving the 2 star for the service only!! I have to express my disappointment in my 1ST and LAST dining experience I had at this restaurant. I will definitely stick to Hook and Real for my crab and shrimp cravings from now on. Like my husband said, you cannot be more expensive and just be mediocre at best. The lack of flavor in the dishes was quite disappointing, especially considering we ordered 3 lbs of food with garlic butter, only to find a mere tablespoon of garlic in it. It takes just a small amount of time to devein shrimp, which is such a turn-off when the entire meal is gritty. The overall blandness of the food left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the chicken made my son sick; it was burnt and felt like jerky. He had to stay home from school because of food poising. That tells me the staff is not cleaning correctly. For $144, when I could have paid less at H&R and still enjoy my meal, this experience fell short of my expectations. I did express my concerns to the waitress who offered to exchange the chicken but that was after we paid the bill. She also told me about a sauce they have that would have been SO MUCH BETTER! But it was not offered at the start

Crab legs are my favorite food. I have eaten them at many places across many states. This place is by far my favorite. I have had much more expensive crab that wasnt this good. My grandparents lived in Louisiana and I have had some cajun food from true cajun places, and they dont compare. The waitress, it seems like she is always there, is kind and gives top notch service. I wish this place stayed busier for business sakes for them. We have never waited for a table. And, my child loves eating here. Kid-friendliness: This is my 8 year old childs favorite place to eat. They are very kind to my children amd accommodate without request. The waitress even showed my little one the secrets to getting all the meat out of the crab.

The half lemon pepper and half spicy was amazing! So delicious and great flavor! The whole seafood boil was great! From the second I walked in everyone was so friendly. James is an amazing waiter, the staff was all so personable and made the experience so great. It was an experience you don t usually get at normal restaurants. Too expensive and they dont give you the option to put together your own combo, besides they dont give any room or anything separate to submerge the shrimp or whatever you order, they dont give gloves to be able to eat either so the strong condiments get in and stay for days in your nails, IT WAS SALTY!!! I was really craving and I left disappointed

Wow. And wow. Our unexpected stop at Crackin Crab while charging our EV nearby was amazing. If you love seafood and havent eaten here yet, please do, and get one of the combo boils in butter. Weve dined at seafood places around the world and had the preparation not come to standard found here. Our combination boil in a buttered bag of crab legs, mussels, scallops, and shrimp was perfectly cooked and deliciously flavorful for each one. Our server, James, took great care of us. We were surprised to find this is a family-owned business. Well definitely be back the next time were in Amarillo!

I had a bit of everything! The snow crab was excellent as was the shrimp, though I do wish it had been deveined. The scallops, sausage, and potato were also tremendous. A meal truly worth every penny and the 10 minutes of hand washing needed afterward to remove my gluttonous shame. 10/10 would love to eat here again!

This place the same seasoning we got.other places was soo spicy I couldnt eat it. And the only other option was lemon pepper. We will try that next time but Im not excited about it. Other places had 3 seasoning flavors. This place only has the two.

Met my brother and family (5 of us, with 3 big eaters) there for Dinner. They had been there several times, but it was our first. We started with oysters, they were nice and large and so good, we love finding a good oyster place with nice sized oysters. Then we ordered two boils, I m not exactly sure which ones we ordered (my brother took care of that) it was so much food!! Between the two, It had lobster, crab, crawfish, scallops, shrimp, calamari, mussels, andouille sausage and then of course the potatoes and corn. We also got a loaf of fresh cooked bread (so good) for sopping us the juice. We couldn t breath when we left, so wear your stretchy pants and a shirt that you don t mind dripping food on, they also have bibs! The (working) owner was so sweet, she also designed the graphic artwork inside the restaurant, which was definitely too cute. The service was great and the food delicious, give it a try! Edit: went back today, remembered the picture half way through. Still as good as before.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by James, and he was extraordinary! The cook was also very pleasant as I sat at the bar and chatted with James. He made me a great drink, and I even ordered shrimp to eat there. This is a great atmosphere, good music and really good crawfish! I give this place 2 thumbs up! Living in West Texas, there are very few quality sea food restaurants that gives you an authentic cajun boil experience. Coming from eating fresh cajun sea food from New Orleans regularly. I can absolutely say after taking my first bite, I had to double check I wasnt back in NOLA. Their crackin sauce is almost identical to the sauce youll get at Fiery Crab locations in Louisiana. Im out of Lubbock Tx and I would happily drive the 1 1/2 - 2 hours, to get this experience. Lubbock has The Catch, Hook & Reel, Joes Crab Shack, Jazz, etc. I can say without a doubt, Crackin Crab in Amarillo blows these places out of the water, pun intended. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!

They remain professional kept smiles on their faces I kept service running as well as fast as humanly possible. I had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table, it was well worth the wait and they remain super cool during the process. Food was fantastic. The kitchen manager Skylar have phenomenal customer service I cant tell you how the owner Kenzie customer service is because she was working non-stop trying to please everyone in the restaurant. The other person working James just kept bouncing from table to table finding out if anybody could use anything else and he did that all night the entire time I was there. I would recommend this place to anyone and look forward to the next visit.

My wife and I ate here on New Yearss Eve for lunch. Got there as soon as they opened and were the second party seated. Wait staff was courteous and attentive. Ordered the shrimp boil and catfish. The boil was as expected while the catfish was a different story. Menu said three pieces and I was given six. I chose fries and added coleslaw to my order. Fries were good when they were hot. Coleslaw came three minutes after all the other food and was in a salad bowl. The catfish was over cooked with one piece cooked so much there was no meat left inside. Crust was thick and very dark as if it were cooked in old oil. Doubtful I will eat here again. I gave two stars because of the waiter. The waiter was very good. Gracious and attentive.

Update 6/30/22 I just got the shrimp tonight and it was great. The spice was on point and it was at least a pound. I had them add a sausage and it was great too. The coleslaw was fresh with the perfect amount of dressing. I cant pinpoint the taste but I think it has some sort of citrus to it. They really have gotten their groove. Ill be back. An out of town food truck is selling 3 small pieces of fried fish like long John silvers and a half handful of fries for$14 a plate across town with a line 100 people long and I got a delicious full pound of shrimp, a drink, cole slaw, a piece of sausage, a half ear of corn, air conditioning, and friendly table service with no wait for just a few dollars more. I had the #1 combo boil and my wife had the fried shrimp. They were out of catfish and french fries. I eat low country boils all the time. This one wasnt the best. The snow crab isnt worth the price or the effort and was overcooked. The shrimp was tasty as were the scallops. The potatoes were undercooked. I dont think I had a whole pound of shrimp in my bag either.

Response to owner: Thank you for responding, I didn t realize there was a location on Soncy or that I was reviewing this location. It was the other location in town. I appreciate the immediate response and will definitely be coming to try your restaurant in the near future! Changed my review to 5 stars based on your timely response and because this wasn t for your restaurant. I guess the other restaurant isn t on google yet! Just tried it for the first time. There wasn t hardly anyone in there eating when we came, we were sat and got our 2 waters, didn t get the lemons we asked for. Then, our waitress Khin was more than awful. She was leaning on the bar drawing something with markers. The other table in there had a waiter getting everything they needed and we waited and we waited. I finally had to say are we going to get waited on? So she came and took our order, told her it was our first time and she wasn t very helpful at all. We ordered $100 worth of food between 2 of us which is fine for a higher end restaurant, but the service needs to be there. There was 2 people waiting on tables and a hostess that was on her phone and could ve been helping them. We get our food and didn t get any butter. Also needed refills and new gloves and had to wait forever for her to take a big tables order and then go put it in instead of just grabbing what we needed real quick. We were last to get waited on. Food was pretty good but they need help big time. It should ve taken about 30 minutes for us to eat but we were in there an hour because we had to keep waiting on her. Also, there was no management to be found to even try to let them know about the problems we were having. Might come back one day but it s going to be awhile to give them time to get their kinks ironed out, too expensive for less than fast food quality service.

We visited the Soncy location during the day this week. The food was amazing. We had the Crackn mild sauce and it was perfectly seasoned. Our crab, shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly as well. Our waitress was very attentive. The only negative was it was cold, we will go back but wear sweaters. It was pricey but was expected with seafood.

Absolutely recommend! Everything we ordered came out perfect. Nothing was over cooked and when they say a pound they mean a pound or more. The flavor and seasoning of everything was perfect. I have been places previously that the food was so salty and overcooked it was hard to eat. That was definitely not the case here. And to top it all off our server Josh was great. They definitely made us feel welcome and made sure we had a great experience. I couldn t have had a better Mothers Day meal! If your in Amarillo and truly enjoy seafood! I highly suggest stopping in and enjoying this place.

Came from out of town and saw Crabs and was super excited. Took our 3 boys, they have diaper changing stations in the mens and womens restroom! Food was very good, menu was a tiny bit confusing but excellent time and great place to eat. I never thought I would get such good seafood in the middle of Texas.

Party of 6, 3 adults 3 children (12-7-3) everyone really enjoyed it. Food was a little spicy even the mild for the 3 yr. old but 7 and 12 year old handled it. Fresh Seafood in the panhandle is expensive and you should know that going in but I though it was reasonable for what all we got. Service was good, they seemed to all help the customers as a team and to be enjoying their jobs. The wait for our food was about 35 minutes or so. We ordered 2 boils with snow crab, scallops and shrimp, 1 with king crab and 1 with Dungeness crab all of them had sauasge, corn and potatoes as well. These kids ate and ate and still took a small bit home We also enjoyed 4 cocktails (2 each for the ladies) and my son in law had 2 beers Total 277 before tip. We will return for special occasions but a little to pricy to go to often for us anyway But it was worth the money for sure!

Food was good, service not so good and waitress was asking to be tipped. We cannot tip if the service is not good. The one on Western is better on service and environment.

The scallops were cooked perfectly but couldn t tell you how they (or anything else in our bag) tasted. Our boil bag had so much seasoning and butter it was muddy and weighed down leaving it difficult to taste any difference from the scallops to the potatoes. I would have preferred just the bag of plain seafood over this. $150 tab for 2 people that I feel would have been much better spent absolutely anywhere other than here.

Group of 6 people. Oysters were fresh, crawfish, potatoes, and sausage were awesomely spicy, just the way we like em. The fried shrimp and fries were crispy. The staff was nice and checked on us a lot. I believe her name was Jordan. I would definitely come again.
