The Albondigas soup was really nice. Their red salsa has flavor and heat it was best Ive had eating out in El Paso. I been here 5 years. The atmosphere is really nice we were a large party. My food was great. Several people in my party didnt eat their food as it was too salty or cold. I can only rate my meal. Tge pictures say it all.

Just left the restaurant. Ordered 2 Tortilla soups and 2 fiesta shrimp, 2 salads, 2 waters, and 2 agua frescas. The tortilla soup was too salty. When I told the waiter this they replaced the bowl but it then tasted the same but watered down. After they brought the watered down soups, we asked for our drinks and got our agua frescas. We never got our water. We then got our fiesta shrimp but it was burnt. Never got our waters or salads. Final total was 79.50 The waiter and manager were extremely nice but the service was not it. I might go again but not soon.

Excelent customer service. I was impressed how this team worked together to give all the customers lots of attention. It was extremely busy with a full house and our waiter was busy with a couple who was ordering their food, another waiter who happened to be closer noticed we seemed to be waiting for our waiter and asked if we needed anything. We were low in coffee, and he immediately went and brought us some. Our waiter did come by often to check on us as well. As I ate I noticed the same thing with the rest of the staff, if one staff member was in the middle of something and another staff member happened to notice that a customer was in need of something, they would take action. Even the busboys/girls! One was cleaning a table and brought coffee to the people next to the table they were just cleaning off. I was like, wow. And to top it off, every single one was so nice and polite. From the greeter and on. The food was also good. To me, the best was their Red Chile meat, Green Chile Chicharrón, and their Menudo. I am extremely picky about Menudo. It was very clean, was not greasy, and ESPECIALLY didnt taste gamey. The only reason why I didnt give it 5 stars is because they open until 9 am. MANY people eat their breakfast early. My family is one of them. In my familys case, not eating at the usual time can give them digestive issues. Especially our elderly. I would assume we are not alone in this. Other than that, I LOVED THIS PLACE!

Great restaurant for Mexican food. Although, my chimichangas came cold which tells me the meat was sitting in a cold tray and they didnt cook it long enough. It was immediately rectified and the replacement was delicious. The tres leches cake is absolutely delicious, however it is extremely rich so keep that in mind when ordering. Nice experience and good environment. I will return.

I have been to julios multiple time and they have great food and service. I usually stop in for a quick lunch when I land in ElPaso. I had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce and they were excellent. Only reason for 4 stars was the chips for the salsa were soggy and stale. Overall very good and recommended.

If I could give this place a BIG FAT ZERO I would my daughter completed Her nurses training and the only place she wanted to celebrate was at this restaurant? What a horrible experience we had. If I were you, I think twice before going to this restaurant . When we walked in we had to use the restroom as we were walking to the back we saw two waitress sitting in a table folding napkins while holding a baby in their laps and baby grabbing the napkins How unsanitary is that i took pictures ill be showing it to the health department then they walk us to our table and 2 of the waiters are arguing about who gets the tables in front of us made us feel so uncomfortable? Then our waitress, which was very nice took our order and it took about thirty five minutes to get our food. When we got our food, my baked potato was so cold. It wouldnt melt the butter our ranch bean look like they were the leftovers they had from yesterday and cold, my husband got fajitas but they Were not even warm fajitas done right need to sizzle when they bring them out These were just thrown in the pan..$29.96 Down the drain.. My grandson got shrimp and they only gave him four.. All together, my daughter spent over a $100 on food. That was horrible cold and no taste what so ever..So when we left we still went somewhere else to eat. We had fast food and it was so much better then this expensive food. My daughter didnt really want to complain, but the food was so unacceptable, So I went back to complain and they offered me 10% off my next meal. Who the hell wants to go back certainly Not me.. The first manager that I talked to was very nice. He did try to talk to his upper management to see if they could do something better for us, but they didnt care. This is my daughters favorite restaurant. And it was a special occasion and all she wanted was to celebrate there and this is the kind of service we got. So if you are looking for good mexican food this is not the place go. I told my daughter, you must be crazy to say that this is your favorite restaurant.. And higher management you should be ashamed. I didnt want you to give me free food. But for what we spent abd how bad your food was you should have done better than 10%. You could tell that you dont care about your customers. So beware people if you enter that restaurant.. If I am gonna spend hard earned money then I want good food I dont mind spending good money on good food but this was ridiculous. ..SO TO THE NEXT CUSTOMER BEWARE BUT IF YOU LIKE COLD BAD TASTING FOOD THEN JULIOS MEXICAN FOOD IN GATEWAY IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The breakfast buffet includes the drink. It was a nice treat. Enmoladas were delicious. The beef fajitas were good, although I didnt care for refried beans and couldnt switch with charros without paying an upcharge. The lunch menu is pretty reasonable. I had the shrimp quesadillas, and they were good!! The Mexican Plate was good as well.

The food, ambiance, bartender, waitress were all great, but the host at the front of the restaurant was very unfriendly. We requested to sit by the bar and she seemed bothered by it. So delicious. Had surgery so I was on crutches. They made sure I was seated in an area where I wouldnt have any issues. I am not sure how this place has such great reviews. We ordered an appetizer, got it at the same time as our food. When we received our food it was ice cold and we sent it back after waiting 45 min for enchiladas. No accommodations to our bill, nothing. The waitress did apologize and She said she would take it off the tab and did not. We didn t want to argue with anyone and just paid and left disappointed. The food was very lackluster, had potential if actually warm.

It was a nice peaceful place to go and relax and to be able to talk and laugh and enjoy. First time and its a plus. Food is good and you can get plenty of good food. You walk out satisfied. Thumbs up. Oh the waitresses need to start smiling and stop running away once they get the order. Dont stop when called. The food was super delicious. Perfect Mexican seasoning. We ordered Fiesta fish with tortilla soup, stuffed chiles and another dish. The waters are fresh in their flavor and sweetness to perfection. The atmosphere fascinated me, the music giving a perfect atmosphere of relaxation and enough volume to enjoy the food and listen to the music. Guess these younger workers will eventually learn what sense of urgency, and attention to detail , means in the service industry. I went on January 21 2024 to have breakfast with family and friends. As we were leaving the place we told them thank you and left a 40dll tip to the young gentlemen that took care of us. We left the place and as i was turning to get into I-10 i noticed thats i had left my sunglasses on the table so i turned around and went back and nicely asked for my sunglasses and they told me to go ahead and check on the table that I was sitting on, i went and check and the sunglasses were gone. I approach the waiter and ask him to see if he had picked up the sunglasses on which she said I m sorry, but I didn t clean the table so I approached the manager, and the manager stated that there was nothing left, and there was nothing that could she could do on which I replied with can you please check your cameras, The sunglasses are worth $350 dlls She said I have no access to the cameras. We will take your name and I ll have my manager contact you on Monday on which I replied the sunglasses are here i m not gonna wait till Monday I just left 7 minutes ago she said I m sorry, but there s nothing I can do, I need a password to get into the system and I don t have it. My manager is the only one that can access it. I went ahead and called the police, police came by, I showed them the photos. They went inside the restaurant, check the cameras and came out with my sunglasses. Horrible experience. When the police gave me the sunglasses I noticed that there was a long hair stuck to the sunglasses, i have short hair. Be careful when you go to that specific restaurant on Gateway

We went on dec 31 to share lunch with some out of town relatives. It had been a while we hadn t been to this Julio s on gateway east. Last time there, food was mediocre, the tostadas were from a package and the service was not good. We were disappointed. My relatives wanted to go to Julio s gateway, so we did. This time it was amazing ! The food was delicious, the tostadas are back to the original. The long flautas, amazing . We were just very satisfied! My husband ordered Julio s special soup, it was delicious. He had ordered the same soup at Julio s on cimmaron, it was awful. All the food we ordered at cimmaron Julio s does not compare to Julio s on gateway east quality of food . Please keep the amazing job!

My cousin reserved a table for thirty persons but only fifteen showed up. My cousin was charged for thirty plates. The meals were not ordered. Julios was practically empty at the time.

The food was very disappointing and the quality was mid to poor. Everything had a musty taste. The rice had a piece of glass in it. We re not picky eaters by any standard. Just want the food to be safe to eat. We weren t charged for that dish.

My mothers family has been coming to Julios since it opened in Juarez. Many decades later, I still come here when Im back visiting in El Paso. Kid-friendliness: Quality items available on the kids menu. Crayons and a one page activity sheet provided for children.

Julio s has been one of my favorite restaurants, but I have been extremely disappointed with several recent experiences. While the food is usually great, I would caution anyone from ordering to-go, especially from this location. We ve had issues with our past few to-go orders including missing/incorrect items and long wait at pick-up. Today we waited 15 minutes past the order pick-up time for two bowls of soup. Then realized when we got home that the soup orders were totally wrong. Paid $20 for Julio s special soup and Tortilla soup both with chicken, but got two bowls of tortilla soup, one had rice and veggies but no chicken and the other ONLY had chicken, nothing else. How hard is a soup order? Super disappointing

Went in a group and the tortilla Soup was too salty for everyone at the table but it was only removed off of one of the bills. I was given the crusty parts of the rice but thankfully that was replaced. Overall the food was subpar, and I always have good experiences on the far east location so I expected the same at this one. Wont return to this location.

From the moment of my reservation interaction until we left the evening of our celebration, Julio s staff, host Pamela, Server Daniela and management were attentive to our needs, met and exceeded every expectation.
