Very bad experience. Every single thing on the menu is mixed with something that is unnecessary. Pancakes are drenched with too much syrup from the kitchen. Coffee is way too strong. Everything is overpriced. They don t have normal drinks they only have coffee and mint lemonade. Seats are too close to each other and the tables are too small to hold food. Will never go back to this place ever again.

We had been here before many times in the past but I m not sure what is happening with these extremely high rates and extra fees for processing? In my experience the food isn t comparable to the prices they re charging. Plus they charged us iced chais when we let the waitress know we had ordered them hot and she got offended because I complained about an extra $1.50 to our tab. As if I m just supposed to let them gouge us on the food, drinks and extra processing fee they now charge as well. I find this highly unusual and almost alarming that they charge you an extra 35% for each tab just for eating at their establishment. A simple salad, two chai s and a vegetable sandwich came out to over $60. That s ridiculous for brunch if you ask me.

The Chilaquiles were excellent. However, there is room for improvement on the preparation of the scrambled eggs. It was obvious that they were just dropped on the griddle without beating them first. I could see parts that were all egg whites and other parts that were cooked egg yolks. The side of crema was warm. The serving of pickled onions consisted of only a few slivers, which did nothing to balance out the richness of the dish.

The food here is overall delicious and good portion size. I have been here a few times while visiting a friend in the area. We have sat at the counter and get relatively good service. The guy is the best love him. Dishes to try: Cubano Salt and honey fries Brisket sandwich Tacos barracho Dishes that are good, not noteworthy Croissant French toast Baklava pancakes. (Legitimately just pancakes with baklava and ice cream on top) Overall its a hip place with food thats delicious. Service is like every other place, some good some meh.

You know a place is good when there s a 45 min wait for a table! We skipped the wait as a group of 4 by having food at the bar. Me and my partner split the expresso flight which was lovely and great if you re craving something sweet, and also the Brunch board - which was lovely and great for two! Service was really great with lovely and attentive staff and atmosphere had a good buzz and didn t feel too crowded!

This place has a cute and trendy atmosphere. We sat at the bar, which I feel was a wise choice as they were busy and I think wed be waiting longer on drinks if we waited on a table. We ate the London breakfast, filling and tasty. Really enjoyed the turkey sausage. Espresso and the Espresso canna were nicely prepared. The person behind the bar attentive and polite. However was disappointed with the multiple apologies they had when they informed us they are not a bartender and some of the ingredients for my drink were not available. I feel as though sitting at the bar they should have an experienced bartender regardless the time of day. I had the S & H Gimlet was tasty but there was ice bits floating. Will be back for a second try soon the wings smelled delicious and the croissant french toast looked amazing would love to that next time.

Came on a Sunday, never been here before but saw the rating and thought it would be good to try. Located in central. Sunday morning and afternoon is a bad time to try it. Waited an hr, for the patio seating. Iced coffee is not worth the purchase, overfilled with ice even after requesting for little ice. Ordered the Drunken Monkey. Literally more than half a loaf of brioche bread. Not the greatest, and too much peanut butter. Wouldnt recommend. Also ordered the chicken and waffles. Read the ingredients, wouldnt recommend either. Lastly the chilaquiles, were better than both other dishes. Overall from beginning to end, I rate this place a 1 out of 5. To include, you have to pay for parking. Wouldnt recommend and wouldnt return.

Here s a 300-word 5-star review for Salt + Honey Bakery Café: --- I was visiting El Paso for work, and after searching for a coffee shop, Salt + Honey Bakery Café caught my eye with its rave reviews. Although my schedule was packed, I made it a point to visit on my last day and I m so glad I did! Salt + Honey is, without a doubt, one of the best brunch spots I ve ever experienced. The ambiance is inviting, with a warm and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. While the menu isn t extensive, every dish on it seems carefully curated and unique, making each option appealing. I ordered the Huevos Benedictos with avocados, and they were absolutely incredible. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, with every bite offering something delightful. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the combination of avocado added a delicious twist to a classic dish. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was also friendly and attentive, ensuring that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The service was quick, despite the café being fairly busy, and the overall vibe of the place was relaxed yet vibrant. If you find yourself in El Paso, Salt + Honey Bakery Café is an absolute must-visit. It s not just a place to grab a coffee or a bite to eat it s an experience that you ll want to repeat. I only wish I had discovered it sooner during my trip! Without a doubt, this café deserves every bit of its stellar.

The food was good but I thought too expensive. I got a fancy grilled cheese sandwich with a side of mac and cheese which I did not realize had an up-charge of $4, but that was on me as the menu was clear. No beverage, just water to drink. Came to over $22 including the 3% charge for order processing, which is just nuts. Charging me to process my order? Not for a credit card, just a straight up 3% surcharge on all bills. If you want to raise your prices, do it honestly! The sandwich was excellent, the mac and cheese indifferent. After tip it was over $25 for a grilled cheese sandwich, mac and cheese and a glass of water.

Food is delicious - ambience is beautiful - staff is friendly. Service is very mediocre and unfortunately won t be returning. Restaurants should sit table with silverware and napkins so they don t stare at their cold food for 20 minutes. Servers should check back on their tables to make sure food is good in case they need anything else but instead I waited for another 30 minutes. This is not the first, second, or third time. I never came in, they said it was an hour and a half wait and they never called me to let me know. My phone number is from Mexico and although they said there was no problem that they would notify us by that means. They have two waiting areas, one inside the restaurant and another in the lobby of the building. The one in the lobby of the building without a/c. It seemed strange to me that with tables available they would leave us waiting to be served. Better we went somewhere else.

Maybe the customers were more rowdy than usual for lunch today, but it wouldnt be a good place for me to conduct business lunches if needed. This sucks because the food is good. I had an unsatisfactory experience at the establishment. Despite having to wait over an hour to be seated and paying $10 for parking, I was disappointed by the overall service. I ordered a cappuccino for $5, but the serving size was disproportionately small, consisting mostly of foam. The customer service was subpar/below average, with the waiter displaying a lack of understanding towards customer needs. Although the food arrived within 25 minutes and was of good quality, the overall experience was unfavorable. Given these issues, I am uncertain if I will return.

I had the most incredible dining experience at Salt + Honey last afternoon! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The service was great, with friendly and attentive staff who knew and explained the menu pretty well. But the real star of the show was the food - oh, the food! Every dish we ordered was expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. The menu is creative and innovative, with unique combinations that will tantalize your taste buds. We started with the baked brie, which was creamy and divine. For entrees, I had the salt + honey burger, which was cooked to perfection, and my partner had the shawarma salad, which was really great ngl, even though I dont like my greens alot. Trying 81 new things to celebrate my birthday this year. Added this gem yesterday after a visit with my Olli classmates (50 years and older program at Utep). We got to sample some of their wonderful creations. Not normally a breakfast fan but the French toast was perhaps my favorite. Outstanding service. I parked next door to use the ramp and then discovered I needed a parking ticket. The greeter, Evan went out to my car to get my license plate number and help me get my ticket. The owner of the restaurant gave a presentation on how she risked opening a restaurant during the Covid years. What a perfect and inspirational ending to such a fun experience. Definitely going back. Wheelchair accessibility: If you use the parking lot in front of El Paso Inc you need to get complimentary parking validated in the restaurant.

Dropped by for a quick brunch visit with my mom & son. Our waiter, Solomon, was attentive and provided great input that influenced our drink and food choices. I had a macchiato and the chilaquiles, which both came out quicker than expected. The macchiato was the perfect balance of espresso and whipped cream while the chilaquiles were paired with the perfect fixings The only tiny gripe I had: we were sat next to a party of about 20 people. They were not happy with their seating arrangements and dragged the tables and chairs multiple times throughout our meal. It got quite loud and we couldn t even hear each other talk. Definitely not the restaurant s fault For the most part, a great visit. We will definitely be back soon. Kid-friendliness: It was easy to navigate my son s stroller throughout the restaurant.

However, the service was absolutely terrible. It took 50 minutes to get my to-go lunch order, which is completely unacceptable. I understand it was during the lunch hour rush, but there is no excuse for a single dish to take that long. To make matters worse, when I finally received my food, it was cold. This was a hugely disappointing experience, and I hope management takes a better look at the service being provided.

Really enjoy Mideast food and was looking forward to my first visit to salt and honey for breakfast. Arrived around1030. Restaurant was doing a great business. I was promptly seated and just as promptly forgotten. After five minutes with no one stopping by, I closed my menu thinking that universal gesture of being ready to order would bring one of the three wait staff serving the area to my table. Alas, no response. Dont mind being invisible in a crowd on occasion but not as patron in a restaurant. Any of the staff including bar staff could see no one had come to the table and, in turn, could have followed up with the assigned server. After 10 more minutes, someone finally came to the table. Must have assumed I was a squatter. Unfortunately, the gesture was too little, too late. Too bad.

Parties were taken ahead of us, and names never came off the waiting list. Im not sure what the deal was. The only explanation was they had no tables available. The food is good, but management of the waiting list was terrible. Our waitress, Karla, was amazing and super friendly. This place has good food, but it is nowhere near worth the 90-minute wait. The coffee and mezze plate were great, hummus was tasty but not served with enough naan and didnt have the olives, unfortunately that is where the raves end. We also ordered the baklava pancakes and cubano, the cubano pork was bland and lacked flavor over all. The pancakes were way too sweet, 2 bites was all that could be handled. The fries were cold and lacked salt. Server didnt ask if we enjoyed our meal and I suspect it was because the tables on each side of us had the same issue of overly sweet pancakes and slow service.

This place is totally mismanaged. Tons of open tables but the host just told us that the kitchen needs to catch up. 45 + minute wait when we can see tons of open tables. The table we finally sat in was open for 20 minutes before they sat us. Food is good but the wait is absolutely ridiculous. Why move to bigger location when you cant take on more business?

Always love the enviroment and coffee at Salt & Honey, at their previous and current location. The only con is that theyre fairly crowded & busy. We were quoted 30 minute wait but it ended up being close to 50 (which we chose to wait). Even when we got seated and finally ordered coffee, it was at least 30 minutes and our meal came out before the appetizer. Still love this resturant but be cautious of their peak times

Came in with a friend on Friday. It was pretty busy with a 40 min wait. We got seated and a drink/coffee quickly. Food did take a while- I got the London breakfast and my friend got a Cubano. The highlight was the salt and honey fries as her side. Everything else was just okay. Everything with the Londoner seemed very dry (but the hashbrowns were pretty good). We waited a long time for our waitress to come with the check, I think she was outside doing side work and forgot about us. Was good but maybe not worth the long wait.

Waited 10 minutes to be sat, not bad considering the rush was just ending after 1pm. We were sat and got water right away, we were told, as usual, that our server would be right with us, unfortunately any server that would pop up (of what i could tell there were only two) was already busy and helping someone else. No one ever came, and even the people around us were ready to go. After 40 minutes of waiting the rush was long over and no one even tried to talk to us as we walked out.

I am so happy that we have nice places like this in El Paso. I have been there 3 times and the food has been good. Every time I am exited to go back and try something else. The business owner clearly spent a lot of money in the place to offer a nice environment. But I think now they should spend money in training staff in great hospitality. The problem is always the wait and the way the staff handles that situation. They have plenty of sitting but never enough staff. This last time I went on a Friday afternoon. The wait was 45 minutes. Even though there was plenty of tables. The bar was pretty much empty there were two people sitting there. They had at least 8 more chairs available. We asked the hostess if we could order drinks and an appetizer at the bar because we were starving. She said if we did that she would have to take us off the list for the table. We explain that we would consume at the bar and we would consume at the table. She said fine. But we needed to be sure to close our tab at the bar. Once we sat at the bar, the waitress behind the bar walked over to the hostess and she made sure she took us off the list. I asked her if that is what she did and she said yes because it was not fair for us to wait at the bar sitting down while other people were in the lobby. And that it was not fair that we took up space just for drinks. She said we could order drinks and stand up. We ordered drinks and an appetizer because we couldn t wait 45, we were starving. She served us very upset. She told us she was not the one that made the rules but she was certainly the enforcer. We rushed to eat something fast so we could get out of her section and back on the list. She was so upset with us that after taking our order she never even spoke to us again. I had to flag someone else to refill my tea and ask for a plastic cup because she made sure to tell us we could not get up with our drinks but she did not serve them in plastic cups. Needless to say every restaurant has some wait at some point and they welcome you to spend money on drinks while you wait. It s profit for the place but this place obviously is doing something that attracts people so they very often have a wait. They need to have a better waiting area and system so that people feel accommodated while waiting and not like we are a pest to the waitress that didn t get a dinning room schedule and is pissed that she has to serve drinks at the bar.

This trendy spot has an intriguing menu that Id like to explore more but my visit left me underwhelmed. The location is a bit rough just a block away and the building was still under construction when I went. Despite that, once inside they have done an impressive design job of the space. I had the Huevos Benedictos and a Salt+Honey Latte. The latte was well crafted with a light cinnamon touch. I ate at the bar but the kitchen service was slow so I had finished my drink by the time the food came out. I am not sure how, but the eggs benedict were somewhat bland. Maybe the chorizo did not come through as it should have and I felt the queso was a bit out of place. The sopes were also a little tough. Seemed like a great concept with lovely presentation that didnt quite work for me. I would try this place again but get something different on the enticing menu.

Restaurant Salt+Honey offers a convenient location with ample parking and plenty of seating, making it accessible for diners. The restaurant boasts a general menu featuring primarily breakfast items. However, my experience with the brisket tacos left much to be desired. The brisket tacos, served with store-bought tortillas, lacked the attention to detail that homemade tortillas would have provided. The brisket itself was under-seasoned, accompanied by a hash brown base, resulting in a disappointingly generic flavor profile. Unfortunately, the same underwhelming experience extended to the brisket torta, which suffered from bland seasoning and lackluster execution. The timing of service further detracted from the dining experience, with a simple latte taking 15 minutes and food arriving after a 20-25 minute wait. Overheard discussions among the serving staff regarding delays from the kitchen did little to assuage frustrations. Despite the restaurant s pleasing decor and inclusion of real plants, I left feeling unimpressed with the overall culinary offerings. While Salt+Honey may suffice for those seeking convenience or located downtown, it falls short for discerning palates or those expecting the flavorful fare El Paso is renowned for. A candid discussion about their food quality and service standards may be beneficial for the establishment s future success.

If youre a adventurer with a bottomless well of patience, go into Salt and Honey. Your taste buds will do cartwheels, even if your stomach throws a silent (or not-so-silent) tantrum. If time is a precious commodity, AVOID AT ALL COST. The wait wont be worth the frustration, however tempting the food may be. Salt and Honeys attention is impossible to resist. Its dishes, unique pairings, and enough artistry to turn your Instagram feed into a food-lovers paradise. Ive ventured into this location several times, and while the food has never failed, the service, sadly, plays on mute. The good stuff. The Londoners combination is fantastic, while the Salt and Honey burgers a melty, savory meal. Coffee adventurers? Dive into Baklava Pancakes or the Midnight Expresss dark chocolate-espresso tango with orange marmalade. You will not go wrong with any of those choices. But heres the catch: The service, on multiple occasions, has been the equivalent of a dropped microphone at a rock concert. Its not just slow; its an invisibility cloak worn by the waitstaff, rendering you and your rumbling stomach practically invisible. Empty glasses plead for refills in vain, and the feeling of being forgotten lingers like a bitter aftertaste. Its truly heartbreaking. Witnessing such talented restaurant just lack on the service to their costumers.
