Cozy place. Food was delicious! We ordered Tatemames, Tuna Tataki, Fried Calamary, Monkey Salad, Sexy Roll, Robin Roll, San Luis Roll, Lulu Roll, & Fried bananas.My Personal favorites were the tuna tatami & tatemames... but everything was so delicious! This was shared between 5 adults & 2 kids. (Most pictures were taken after wed started eating)

Honestly 10/10. I go to the university nearby and I just wanted something nice to eat, and the minute I walked in it was nice. It was nice and empty, the music was very calming, and the woman helping me was so sweet and understanding !! She did amazing and my food was out in under 10 minutes, which, the food was delicious!! Definitely coming back!

Shrimp Yakisoba lacked taste. I was surprised it had beef and chicken, but, I was disappointed because it was too dry and unseasoned and the shrimp was minimal and tiny. My sweet tea was watered down a bit. The Sexy roll was very delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant.. Overall, I will come back for sushi only and will drink water. Hopefully we ll get the same server because she was amazingly attentive and helpful.

Ok well I ve been to a few sushi bars around the RGV here are my thoughts. I had FC roll it was very good. My wife had the sexy roll it was excellent and we also had a plate of yakisoba with shrimp, beef, chicken the presentation was great but it lacked taste very bland. We ordered cucumber lemonade it did not taste like lemonade was natural. My gorgeous wife ordered an Arnold Palmer it was watered down. Overall, I thought food was gonna be great, but not all great.

Food was fresh and delicious I got the Alamo roll, I topped with the red sauce that s in the maple syrup containers, it was bomb af and we were given sauces on the side to try, the red one being citrus based and yellow being habanero. Both were good but for my sushi roll it paired better with the habanero. I definitely recommend trying this place out

The food was excellent but I will have to say I m disappointed in how my fast my food came out. I ordered a appetizer, sushi, and chicken yakisoba. My first two items came out quickly but as I sat there the waiter kept asking if I needed anything else & brought me my check with the Chicken yakisoba on it but I never received the dish. I know the waiter forgot all about it because the second they walked into the kitchen she came right back out with it. I understand if it was busy but there was only two other customers in the building so it s not excusable.

I really liked this place! The staff was attentive, and the customer service was amazing. The Tatemames were my favorite appetizers 10/10, especially with the sauce they used. I also loved that the other appetizers came on a bed of shredded cucumbers, which added a refreshing touch. We tried four sushi rolls: the California, Dallas, Sexy, and Caro rolls. The first three were fantastic, but I wouldn t recommend the Caro roll. It was the last to arrive, and unfortunately, it didn t hit the mark. At first, I thought the cream cheese was spoiled, but it turned out to be the sauce they used, which none of us at the table enjoyed (and yes, I made everyone try it, lol). Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I ll definitely be back especially when I can try the raw fish, which looked delicious!

Im so happy Kato is back in Edinburg! Once I was told it was open by my best friend, a visit was made the next day. The sushi is delicious, fresh, and has good sized portions. The prices are very affordable and there is something for everyone. The Saturn Roll, San Luis Rolls, Gyozas, Edamame, Ika and Monkey Salads are the must haves on our visits. We often order different rolls and have never been disappointed. The environment is very clean, welcoming, and family friendly. Reasonable prices, fresh ingredients, and a sushi chef who has worked with master chefs from Japan. Kato Sabi is a delightful addition to the RGVs sushi scene, with a menu full of favorites and new discoveries. I had the lunch plate of three sushi pieces and a roll of my choice (salmon skin roll was my pick). Beautifully prepared and presented. The chef even torched my unagi nigiri, adding sweet caramel flavors to the bite. I will definitely be back.
