Very good wings and fries. Great service. But the atmosphere was not anything special. The first booth I tried, I sank way into the cushion. No support at all. UPDATE: Bone-in wings are off the lunch menu, sadly. But their personal lunch pizza is good, as is the Monterrey Chicken sandwich. Also, soup of the day is hit or miss as to whether they even have one.

As a Chicago native, I have no trouble liking this place. But if I had to pick just one reason for coming here, it would have to be the Supreme pizza. The family-sized one. I can chow the whole thing down in one sitting. Its that good.

Wow this Supreme Pizza was fantastic! Our first time there. Had driven by so many times and kept saying I ve got to try this place. What took me so long? Great pizza, salad and atmosphere! We tried the best deep dish Italian sausage pizza , last night. The crust is high like a tart & crispy all over even the bottom; the filling with cheese, Italian sausage, mushrooms, olives & onions was perfecto!!! We each had one slice & it was enough for the evening, so the waitress packed up the rest to take home! We also had a side salad which is big & delicious. We have had their spaghetti & meatballs with their breads & salad & that was delicious too!!! They serve other stuff, but I ll have to go back to sample other items. It really is the best pizza joint or at least the best deep dish pizza is to die for; not kidding, it must be the best secret in town meaning the Edinburg, Pharr, McAllen, Mission area!!! The service & waitress were excellent & always with a smile & the owner came out of the kitchen to see if we liked our meal! Pretty impressive & we ll be back!!!

Chi-town has always had a special place in my heart, and the pizza there has always been an experience. So glad I can ha e a tast of the here in the valley. Quite possibly the closest thing you will have to chicago pizza here in the valley. Definitely recommended, and the Tommy boy fries are definitely worth trying too.

Ordered a takeout 16 inch pizza. Pizza was good, but seemed small. It measured at 14.5 inches on my Stanley measuring tape. When I called Cordons, manager stated that it is normal for Pizzas to shrink during cooking. Bummer.

This review is for the burger only so I hope the Italian food is better but if you decide to have a burger, think again. They use cheap meat and you could really tell. My home made burgers will blow these away so stay away from the burger menu; they may sound tempting but just dont do it. They likely use the very same meat on every burger item. It was one of the worst burgers Ive ever had in the McAllen/Edinburg area, the only worse one was at Hamburger King in Edinburg. We went during a slow time of the day and the server seemed lost, I think he might have been the server and the cook that day.

Went to try this place since it had a lot of ratings. atmosphere was great, so many pictures on the wall and many varieties in the menu. We ordered Chicago style pizza with pepperoni and bacon since it was recommended but the only thing that I didn t like was the pizza was way too oily. Got a Caesar Salad and it was good, also got appetizer which was the cheese sticks they weren t that bad but expected better. I will eventually come back to try more things on the menu though. It wasn t too expensive either.

I recently visited Cordons for the first time and was thrilled with the excellent service and top-notch food. The soccer field was a blast, and it was amazing to escape the heat afterward by stepping inside to enjoy the cool, air-conditioned atmosphere. Had a party of 12 eat here today after church. WOW!!!! The appetizers were so good! I really recommend the onion rings! 5 of us shared a 19-inch supreme thin crust pizza, and it was PHENOMENAL! We tried this place because we were craving pizza, everything was fine, the food and service were good but I woke up this morning to my account being negative because they decided to charge for TIP after we had already left a cash tip prior. I saw on the receipt it has a certain amount for cash/non cash total. I paid with card and obviously knew I would be paying the non cash total and my boyfriend left a CASH TIP, however much that I was im not sure but usually when either of us pays the other leaves the cash tip. Regardless, I woke up the next morning to a notification that they adjusted the total to add a tip which left my account in the negatives meaning they got a tip on card and tip in cash. I m not sure if that s even legal or what but for a restaurant to be charging things even after you ve left the establishment is wild to me. My boyfriend recommended this place to his coworkers and they came right after us so im not sure if they experienced the same but I doubt we ll be coming back. If you plan to eat here avoid using card payments so they won t sneakily charge you for extra money.

First time trying out this place and was disappointed. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan w/ Pasta Plate and I had the Julia Gulia Gyro. The parmesan chicken was OK but the pasta was tasteless. The tomato sauce seemed to come out from a can and it was too watery. The garlic bread was extremely greasy. The gyro looked very nice but didnt have much taste and was missing the taziki sauce. They should just take these items off the menu. I may go back and try their pizza...and nothing else. We had takeout. The food was picked up within 25 minutes of ordering and was eaten shortly after that.

So my husband & I had tried Cordons curbside during the pandemic & just thought it was all right. Yesterday, though! We finally went inside to eat for lunch & I tell you what, their deep dish Chicago-style pizza was on point, every bit as good as the one I enjoyed at Giordanos in Chicago many moons ago! The sauce wasnt acidic, the Italian sausage had just the right amount of flavor, the cheeeeeese, & the crust was the perfect thickness & crispiness to keep everything together as you took a bite! Didnt even need added peppers or Parmesan, it was just right as is. We enjoyed the music & decor, & though it seemed like staff might have been short-handed, the gentleman waiting on us was very attentive (I think his name was Paul?), & the cook did a great job hustling to get orders out. Our deep dish could have taken up to 45 minutes, but it was out in only 30! Well definitely be back.

Visited this place three years ago, had the ugliest meanest, most petulant, disrespectful staff members I have ever experienced in a restaurant setting the manager was exceedingly angry, laughed at me and my wife. Extremely apathetic, and even told me to go next-door and tell the owner but said it won t matter he ll back me up anyway. Worst experience ever go to Chicago for Chicago style pizza. Asked For jalapeños on the side. And the staff purposely put them in a circle around the pizza on the crust and laughed when they brought it to us and said see it s on the side. Had eaten here before, and it was somewhere between average and good enough to come back. But my second experience shortly after that, made such an impression that I don t believe I will ever return to this restaurant and that is sad. This is an example of the Valleys worst. I hope this place has gotten a lot better because businesses should care about their customers. The service was so bad that I stepped aside and placed a phone call to the restaurant and asked for the owner to register a direct complaint, was put on hold, slowly made my way to the main serving area and found the manager laughing behind a wall when he found out that we were asking for the owner. Worst experience ever. As I said had eaten here several times before when the service was passable, so this is and was a real shame. Have not been back and hope it has changed.

I saw an ingnorant review saying it isnt Chicago style deep dish from somebody who I can only guess has never been north of Falfurias. I lived in Chicago for 5.5 years and their deep dish is better than most Chicagoland based pizzas. Impeccable quality, texture and flavor. Never would have guessed McAllen could do deep dish better than most Chicagoland joints but here we are. Do yourself a favor and give and it a try.

We ordered take out from here for after our game. We had 30 orders. Everything turned out excellent. The food was delicious! Most of our party ordered pizzas. Some ordered appetizers, sandwiches, wings, pasta, salads there are a wide variety of options for everyone to enjoy. You can t go wrong with any of it but some of the favorites were The Big Tex Chicken sandwich with fries, the breaded pickle spears, the mozzarella sticks, Mac and cheese bites, chicken Parmesan with pasta, lasagna, thin crust pepperoni pizza, Big White thin crust pizza, deep dish cheese pizza and the cubby s steak and cheese sandwich with fries. We worked with Alyssa and she was awesome! Everything was labeled with names which made it very easy to hand out. She went above and beyond for us and I did not have to worry about a thing but winning our game. Thank you Alyssa and the rest of Cordon s staff for taking care of us. We will be back!!

It takes way too long. Dont come here if your already hungry. They take so much time, its frustrating. Unless you have alot of patience and not in any hurry what so ever. The service was part of the problem. The waitstaff was just taking their sweet time. From sit down to end, by far the Worst experience I have had here, I have been here 4 times. My pizza was not correct, it came came out cold with incorrect toppings. My spouses food was also not correct, the table next us. There food was cold, the table in front had issues with the order. We visited this place on a Friday night. It was half full when we arrived, we were sited right away and the server got our drinks. The food took very long to arrive but it was good so the waiting for worth it. The restaurant has a sporty theme and we liked it. They have a playground on the back yard

I m only disappointed I didn t try this sooner since moving to the area just a couple of years ago. Service was PHENOMENAL, I didn t catch their names unfortunately but everyone was so kind and patient- especially considering we had our very high energy toddler with us. They moved us to the playground area to help us keep her happy & brought our food out and everything. Food wise- I got the pasta and that was okay. I can t eat pizza or else I would have because THAT looked amazing, rest of the family enjoyed it which is the speciality. Great variety of dessert options as well. Atmosphere is refreshingly unique & they offer quality party packages. We will be returning- and with family & friends who haven t tried also- thank you!

Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza was a huge disappointment. Pizza had a sour taste and the cheese was rubbery. Big dining area but almost no customers. Their phone is disconnected but they are open. Service was good but atmosphere and food were terrible so I dont recommend you waste your money here.

We usually pick up a deep dish on the way home which absolutely delicious. Today we decided to drop in for their 2 of $25 spaghetti and meatball dinner. The pasta was so good. The salad was fresh and the service was great! Abel was friendly and accommodating. The food came out quickly and tasted delicious. From the food to our server Able, everything was amazing. The food was fresh and the flavors we re amazing, as well was the service. Able made sure we felt welcomed and had patience, cracked a few jokes, and was quick. Overall this restaurant gets a 10 on my list. A man by the name of Jose Flores wrote a review probably below this one talking about how they came for his father in laws birthday. I want the owner to know that it is completely misconstrued. He left a lot of details out. I was sitting right across from them with my mom. They argued with the server and manager about not wanting to pay gratuity because they were two separate tables that they had to push together. It seemed like they just wanted a free meal. Even though they were a party of about 10-12. The manager gave so many solutions and they refused to take any of them. Also, Jose failed to mention that someone in his party called the manager a sarcastic b word. My mother had to go out and console the manager who was obviously in distress from all their yelling. Make sure to tell both sides of the story before leaving a nasty review next time. Even if you feel the service was bad, you have no right to disrespect another person. The manager and waiter did the best they could for that situation. These hard-working people dont get paid enough to deal with your insolence.

First and foremost they need to hire better management. Today we went for my father inlaws birthday thinking he would enjoy some good pizza. Little did I know we were going have to wait longer than the time it says for a deep dish for our pizza to arrive. The waiter was very kind, but management was rude. We asked about the pizza and they told us there was only 1 oven running but clearly the people who arrived half and hour after us received theirs first. We asked for the manager to provide us an explanation and when he arrived he looked upset and never wanted to admit there was a mistake just that there was one oven running. He left upset and 20min later our pizza arrived. We were expecting some sort of apology or compensation for the lack of service, but was denied any of that. Afterwards we asked for the manager again and this time a lady came smiling and rolling her eyes came to ask what the problem was. We explained to her the issue we had and kept saying lie after lie while snickering and denying any mistake. We left angrily and had never been treated so poorly at any restaurant. Our problem wasnt so much the food just people nowadays have no dignity to take accountability. If the owner is reading this they should really reevaluate their choice if management. I will not be returning which probably doesnt mean much to an establishment, but I would rather spendy hard earned money in a more respectful business.
