I havent been here in a while and today proved why I will continue to go back, even if theyre only open on Sundays. The owner mentioned having a food truck, catering business as well as the restaurant, which takes up much of her time, but she loves to cook for Sunday. Maam, I want to say, the oxtail plate I got today, was amazing. Everything was filled with a nice blend of flavor. Not one item was salty or lacking flavor. I know you have much on your plate; however, I hope you continue to stay open on Sundays... many customers would be happy, especially me and my daughter. It was so much food, I had to put some in a container.. yumm!

I hadn t ordered from here in awhile but the place really changed, I remember enjoying everything I tried before. My recent visit was very disappointing. The ribs tasted kind of sour , the brisket was tough and fatty, not moist and tender like I remember. The Mac and cheese tasted old, was not creamy at all and full of black pepper. I ended up just tossing the plate out. $20 wasted

I gave this place a try as I was craving barbecue and wanted to try something different. I ordered through Uber Eats and my food was still hot when it arrived! I ordered spicy sausage, greens, mac & cheese, and BANANA PUDDING. Why is banana pudding in all caps you ask? It s because it s THE BEST banana pudding I VE EVER HAD!!!! Whoever makes it, please give my compliments to that chef! I will be definitely be ordering more food and dessert from this place very soon!!!

The workers were so busy dancing and enjoying themselves in the back they didn t realize 10 people were up front waiting for over 10 minutes. In addition the sign is so small you re not even sure you re in the right location, food takes entirely too long to be cooked. 40 minutes for a fried pork chop.

I came in and ordered mild sausage and sliced brisket for my mother, my husband and I. After ordering I was told that there was not enough mild sausage to fill the order and asked if I would like rib tips instead, since they were the same price. I said yes. After getting home I saw there was sausage and brisket. So I thought there was enough sausage to fill the order. I got home and served my mom the sausage and brisket. Come to find out all the sausage was spicy and my mom ended up spending the next two days in the hospital. As I was waiting I heard the argument that you should treat thy neighbors as you would treat thy own. I would never think that they would intentionally poison my mother just because they felt like they wanted to. We were offered rib tips and got nothing but spicy sausage in our order which was specifically requested not to have due to medical reasons. Because of that my mother spent two nights in the hospital and I will never again bye from this place! Because according to the kid in the back what does it matter, were White.

We ordered a large meal for over 10 people for a Fathers day gathering. The portions were enough for 20!!! We ordered sliced beef, ribs and tips, and Chicken. The meat was so tender and literally melted in your mouth. The customer service was awesome. My entire family loved it. Will definitely be ordering from Smokin BBQ again and recommending to friends.

This is the kind of BBQ you dream of. It s tender and flavorful. I ordered the brisket fries and wow!! A bed of double battered crispy steak fries topped with chopped brisket and all the toppings it was huge! I had so much food that I popped my leftover fries in the air fryer today for lunch and I still have enough for one more meal. The sides were fantastic and my husband really loved his food as well. We will be back!

This is the BEST barbeque!! Add those baked beans and potato salad and wow! I could eat this barbeque every day. When you warm up your left overs, your house smells like youve opened a barbeque grill, that meat is so well smoked! I highly recommend this barbeque.

I have never left a review for anything, but I must leave one today. The food here is fantastic! The ribs are so tender, they fall of the bone and are sooooo good. The baked potato,baked beans and the chopped beef Sandwiches are Phenomenal. You must try this place, you will be glad you did!!!!!

Ok this was our first time. I haven t even tasted the food yet because my husband is still there waiting for food . He s been waiting for literally a hour. Apparently they are getting door dash orders out and neglecting the people that are already there. The guy finally came to the front because somebody walked in and my husband asked how much longer and he said 10 more minutes. That was 20 minutes ago And still no food. Hopefully the food is good but that s ridiculous. A little communication would help. A guy walked out once he heard how long the wait was and the lady that walked in had been standing there for 10 minutes before she got her order taken. update Finally got food and it was actually ok.I had no complaints.BUT!!! The banana pudding is a definite NO. It was like baby food with cookies. No bananas. I don t think I ll be going back. Wasn t worth the wait.

This place it truly amazing. I am a self proclaimed foodie that is new to the area (orginally from NYC). I have been using uber eats to feed myself and family since I got here since I havent unpack my pots yet, well at least thats the story I am sticking with..... lol. Anyway, yesterday was Mothers Day so I ordered from Smokin BBQ (the 6th time since I found them) and as usual I was extremely happy. Like its been stated before, their mac and cheese is unmatched. The pork chops were divine!! The turkey wings were smoked to perfection and the potatoes salad taste just like grandmas . The greens were delicious and the banana pudding was scrumptious However, its their customer service for me . Hands down they can teach a master class to others.They took the time to answer all my questions I had(and trust me I had a lot...smh!) And they never showed any signs of getting annoyed with me, even though I called 3 times before placing my order. But wait, to top it off one thing in my order got mixed up and they actually personally delivered it to my front door . Who does that?? They did outstanding!! I never leave reviews online, however this time I had to, as a public THANK YOU to them!! I look forward to my next meal I order from them.

I tried several BBQ places to find a suitable catering option for my wedding. Not only did Andy have the best food of the catering options in the area, he made a real effort to win my business. He presented samples, took feedback of what we were looking for, and fit into what we wanted. Between the time I hired him and the actual date of the wedding, I had his food multiple times. The consistency of both food quality and service was spot on. I cant recommend highly enough. He helped make our day amazing.

Hands down the absolute best spot for BBQ/Soul Food. As a Chicago native, I am a true foodie & will travel both near & far for a dope meal. Smokin BBQ always understands the assignment, 10/10! Today I ordered via DoorDash because Im recovering. I called to verify the menu accuracy & appreciated the compassion & willingness to assist. My food arrived piping hot, plentiful portions, packaged safely & perfectly seasoned/cooked. I immediately smiled & was comforted by the personal touch on my container. That small touch of superior customer service is unmatched. Lets get to the eats! I REALLY wanted to give this 5 stars, especially since its black owned. I ordered the 2 meat plate with double greens...Im ONLY giving it 3 stars because, I got more fat than meat on my brisket. The little pinch of meat i did get tasted AMAZING...im sure its a one off, but none the less, I didnt pay almost $20 for a half a plate of fat. Overall the food was GREAT, I plan on re visiting in the hopes that I can update my stars

I think it s a family restaurant, so it s really great. Michelle was super helpful, and really nice about the whole process. I love their food! There s a lot of tenderness in the chicken. I just wish I had a little more flavor, but the greens were amazing as well as the potato salad. I also bought a banana pudding and it was really good, I will definitely be back to try different foods

I loved the barbecue! The Mac and cheese was dry but the greens are . Whatever wood you smoke your ribs and brisket in PLEASE don t change. The spicy sausage is worth trying as well. Check them out!! They have really good barbecue. *DISCLAIMER* The ONLY reason I didn t give 5 stars is because I purchased the banana pudding and it didn t have any bananas. I ve never experienced a business actually selling banana pudding with no bananas. I was sold whipped pudding with cookies. If you can t sell peach cobbler with no peaches, you shouldn t be able to sell banana pudding with no bananas. It was just blasphemy

First time trying and it is AMAZING! The staff was so polite and the foods flavor is phenomenal! Was given a free sample of the curry chicken and wow! So so good. Definitely will be back! Delicious BBQ and sides! Food is really good with good portions. The lady at the front is nice and courteous... I think my only complaint is that they werent so great at estimating when food will be ready. One time I was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes and it wasnt ready until 50 minutes ... I wasnt happy about it, then I ate my tasty food and it made the wait a little tolerable haha

Excellent food, service and large portion sizes. I got brisket and ribs. Very, very good. My wife got greens for one of her sides and loved them. The sauce is something Id bottle up and sell in the store. Dont forget to get some banana pudding. Finally found a new place after our old joint fell victim to new management and ruined the place. Y all listen! I ve been to a lot of soul food kitchens and BBQ joints that I ve never revisited due to the quality of the food! But this place here.... they won t be able to shake me! I found them on DoorDash and decided to give them a try and I m so glad I did! We got the Brisket baked potato which was huge and full of meat! My family of 4 was able to share and still have left overs! My son is on this no meat kick and ordered a veggie plate consisting of Mac-n-cheese, Loaded Mash Potatoes, and Greenbeans. Everything on his plate was so flavorful! I wish I had pics to share but ummm it s gone! Lol! Smokin BBQ y all have gained a new Friday customer and I m sending all my friends and family! Real! Good! BBQ!!!! And generous portions! Family owned and some of The very best authentic BBQ I ve ever had. This family is the real deal and they know what they are doing in the kitchen.
