Not sure why the rating is so low. This place is great, foods delicious with nice portions. Customer service is pretty decent too. I love the egg drop soup and sweet n sour chicken along with the chicken broccoli.

First time trying this place. Everything was good I had egg drop soup and loved it, best Ive had since I moved here! Also had crab Rangoon that were perfectly cooked Schezuan Chicken was overflowing and had the perfect amount of meat n veggies Egg rolls were fantastic and fried rice was flavorful Will definitely be back

The BEST MOO GOO GAI PAN and Egg Drop Soup. PERFECT. Ate Chinese food in El Paso on N. Mesa and my stomach ejected it ASAP. Sticking to tried and true Win Hing. Everything is delish. Completely delicious. I got the mussels in garlic-medium spicy. My lunch companion got the seafood combination. The online ordering was easy. They didnt have GPay or Apple Pay but they do have a choice to pay in the restaurant. It was fast and ready when I got there. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portions are good. Everything was fresh. The staff were polite and friendly. I almost didnt go here because of the bad reviews. Im glad that I tried this place..

Tried Win Hing twice in 3 years. First time was horrible, used ton of MSG and stale ingredients. Tried again this week and ordered fried rice and happy family dish. Stay away. Should be named angry family. It was marginally better than my first time but the imitation crab meat tasted like rubber. Fried rice is steamed rice with soy sauce, no eggs or chives. Terrible meal. Waste of $15. Stay away.

Ordered delivery for lunch and food was delivered hot! And in plastic to-go containers that I will be reusing. I ordered veggie mix with beef. The beef was tender & the sauce was flavorful. Rice is fluffy! Delivery driver was very kind. $8 lunch for me and my friend plus delivery was $22. I d say very worth it. The combo included rice and entree plus a can of soda and an egg roll!

It was fine. Not great, just fine. Chicken Pad Thai - I cant do very spicy, so I got no-spicy. But it was flavorless. The portion size was huge. There was adequate amounts of chicken and onions. Not much of the peanut taste that I like with pad thai. Egg Roll was good. Lo Mein - the kids liked. It didnt have any veggies in it. Orange Chicken - was fine. The service was excellent. The order taker was nice and answered questions patiently. They swapped the entree rice for lo mein. We WILL order from them again. Because, we like the convenience and the food was filling. We are in their delivery zone (and at this time charged $3 for the service). They quoted us 45m-1hr and it got here quicker (I think maybe around the 35m mark).

Amazing egg rolls but thats it. The wontons in soup are hard/not fully steamed. The beef lo mein has like no vegetables but flavor is okay. The sweet and sour chicken is soggy, not crispy at all, and the fried rice to go with it is just plain white rice with soy sauce drizzled on top. I wont ever order here from again.

First time to order from Win Hing, will be the last. I ordered the seafood combination and house fried rice for pickup, they prepared the food quickly. When I got home, they didn t even include any utensils or soy sauce in the sack . Both dishes were very bland and not much flavor. The seafood combination description was supposed to include shrimp, scallop, crab meat. The crab meat was some cheap imitation roll type of blah and I only found one thinly sliced scallop in the entire dish, so disappointed.

Absolutely flavorless food. Anything meant to have spice lacks it, and they dont know how to cut a vegetable to save their life. The only redeemable thing about this meal would have been the portion size had it not been some of the most sloppily made and tasteless food. The food here is absolutely amazing. I have lived in East Asia for 6 years and have often longed for authentic Chinese cuisine that tastes like it did over there. In my opinion, this place is the real deal. For those who have complained on here that the food does not taste good because they waited an hour to pick it up, or because there is confusion about the ordering process, thats on you, not the restaurant. (Fun fact: the Chinese language, at its core, is much more terse and direct than English. Unfortunately in my experience, this causes misunderstandings and is confused with rudeness). Lets be clear, this restaurant is a work in progress, but they have amazing food at a great price point. Dont sleep on this place!

It was my daughters birthday. Mid summer- July. We order from a menu left at our doorstep, and are informed instantly that it was received- but dont hear back about the order until an hour later when we call. Its been complete for half of that time. An ominous air overtook me on the ride to the restaurant and the excitement to experience a new, cheap Chinese place was suddenly overtaken by sharp and cloying anxiety. I sent my daughter in to pick it up, as the dark presence had left my insides stirred- but I feared for her as she turned the corner to this small door on a building tucked round some small park trees and out of sight... As if we werent meant to discover it. She returned safely, and though the food smelled enticing - I couldnt shake the feeling that *something* was off. I was informed by my sweet, innocent little angel that the inside of the building was suffocatingly small and that a small bed waited behind the counter - as well as toys. As if it were anticipating her arrival. My stomach churned on the ride home, unable to free myself of the ominous aura but determined to have a good experience. Arriving home, exhausted from the journey, we opened our meal. The orders had the wrong kind of rice, and both types of chicken were nearly indistinguishable. The Pad Thai was dry and flavorless. The chicken was like sawdust, turning to sodden ash in our mouths. Sitting in our stomachs for the most part- this fell entity disguised as mediocre Chinese cuisine rotted within us, becoming mud and trying to draw us into the embrace of the dirt and moss- to decay with the roots choking out the color from our lifeless faces. We awoke from this trance, suddenly sober from the experience. The menu had vanished. It was gone... But what has it taken with it? And where will it go next..?

0/10 do not recommend this place! I order online for delivery waited an hour then decided to call the place because there was no sign of my food being delivered. Once I called up there the woman stated that her driver is back at the store and that my food is outside my door. The driver decided to get on the phone and go back and forth with us saying that she knocked on the door when she know she didn t. Our door is right in front of the living room where we was waiting. This store has bad customer service and wasn t apologetic or understanding at all instead she wanted to argue. I work here. Everything we make is from scratch. Ive read the reviews that have been spoken. Here a tip... place your order from our website and we can get your order faster, thus you will get your order faster. Everyone likes to order at the same time. Theres even a way to say when you want your order ready by. Also, your fried chicken with sauce on it will get mushy if you dont pick it up on time. It amazes me how others lack of time ends up falling on us for a pick up order. We are the cheapest delivery, but order us from uber and doordash if you like. We are on there too. Side note... their drivers dont show up nor wants to wait 3 minutes sometimes and cancel your delivery... even though we have time left for the order to be ready. I cant stress enough how good our food is. Ive been helping at this location since 9/21... if you walk in 9/10 youll see me. If you call, youll get me. And at anytime something is wrong with an order, we do own up and make it right. Every time. Also, please stop calling during busy times trying to read the menu at the same time as you just made your phone call. That is selfish and disrespectful to other guest who know what they want or who may be calling to place an order. Write your stuff down. All menu items have a description of whats in the dishes. Make sure you know. I have a menu by me. Lets help everyone by making the phone process better. Because I cant answer the phone and bag/fry if im on the phone. Orders will be delayed. In the last year we have probably ordered from here 3 times, 2 for delivery, once for takeout. We called them directly since they have their own delivery. They did forget the rice 1 time. But rice is an extra filler in their plates since their entrees are big portions so it wasnt too big of a deal. Otherwise we enjoy their food and delivery times have been reasonable for us. I honestly dont expect much anymore from Denton restaurants; something is mostly always missing from my order.

I ordered the General Tso s chicken, and the yellow curry chicken. I asked that the broccoli be removed and replaced with water chestnuts, but apparently Win Hing is not Burger King, and I can t have it my way. Portions were large, food was hot. Bag was not stapled closed. General Tso s was more like orange chicken, but the curry chicken was very good. Not sure if I ll order again, but I wasn t dissatisfied. DoorDash delivery was excellent.

Everytime i come here there is always something wrong last time they forgot the sauce. This time they gave us so little sauce we went to another place just to get sauce for our food. I have being going to Chinese all over Denton and to-date this one for being a takeout/delivery is not as bad as some here publish. FOOD is good/better than buffet style, never had a problem. If they are busy and you food is taking a little longer to make and you are picking up, they normally offer you something extra. SERVICE its a takeout, but you can dine in which I have done also. Service is straight forward, its not silver service like some people want from takeout(not to sharp people your living in Denton) and its not PF Phang people. Point Blank its GOOD FOOD.....

I ordered last night (9/9). Delivery was a bit on the slower side, however this is to be expected on a Sunday night in a college town. I got the combo fried rice and a large portion of egg drop soup. The taste of the rice was decent; not something that I would order again. However, my appetite was curbed when I tried the chicken. It was so under-cooked that it was mushy. It had 0 taste and pretty much ruined my meal. Other than that, the soup was decent but a little on the greasier side. I understand that it may have been busy, but speed should never trump quiality.

Always quick service. Orders are accurate and the value is good for the amount of food you get. You can tell it s homemade and they care to keep it that way. Calling to place an order can be a little confusing maybe due to a language barrier, but I ve never had any issues with them getting the order wrong or mixed up. They have great lunch deals too.

Fried rice was hard(undercooked), dry, and flavorless. Soy sauce was not soy sauce. The chicken was mainly batter and I only had 3 pieces of broccoli in the large General Tsos chicken. I ate only the few broccoli and had to throw out everything else. It wasnt edible.

I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice. The meat was dry and the batter was soggy. The rice was bland and hard. The crab rangoons were soggy as well and the cream cheese inside was bland. Honestly I was so disappointed I was tempted to take back the food for a refund. Won t be going back.

Their sesame chicken is basically like eating cold fat goo.it was gross . I went nicely for a refund and The guy was so mad I returned the dish he bassically threw my money at me .after I nicely said Ill trade for another plate since I didnt touch the food . I just ordered from this place. The food was hot and fresh but the driver was the problem. When I ordered I could have sworn the lady told me my order was 18.49. When the driver came, I gave him $20. He said Can I have a tip? . I asked him how much it was and he said 19.86. I said I m so sorry I don t have anymore cash, he rolled his eyes and stormed off.

BEST Chinese food in Denton. I was a little wary about the other reviews but I decided to order it anyway. It was at my apartment in about 20 minutes, food was super hot. Everything was cooked perfectly. And the sweet and sour sauce was so good I could almost drink it.

My husband and I ordered their Mongolian beef and egg drop soup with orange chickem amd hot and sour soup and lo main for out girls.... The food arrived coldcold, my husband barely had any food in his container it was maybe a quarter of the way full, the soups were cold as well, the egg drop soup wasnt even the color its supposed to be, it was all bland to taste we literally couldnt even season it to taste moderately good. It was all around horrible food. We will never be ordering from this place again.

I have eaten here several times because it is handy and quick. In the past? Not so great. Recently it has improved quite a bit. In fact, it has improved enough for me to give it 5 stars. Quick, generous, tasty and priced reasonably. We fed 5 hungry adults (take out) with plenty leftovers for the next day on $50. Since we live only 3 blocks from them, we haven t used their delivery service. Our order was ready within 15 minutes of placing the phone call.

Food is reasonably priced and cooked very quickly. The portions for the large are fantastic if you want a really filling meal for a reasonable price. The service is nice and to the point. When a place is good enough for me to have cravings for it is when i know its good. Sweet and sour chicken is the best, and the fried rice is pretty good even if its obviously not got a lot of time spent on it. Best takeout you can get for the price The perfect chinese hole in the wall... Idk if thats a backhanded compliment but i mean the best by it.

Ordered the food from here and honestly the worst possible food. The only thing GOOD was the Chicken wings and Steamed rice. Ordered Cashew Chicken, Hunan Beef and Orange chicken all which were flavorless and drowned in sauce. The Low Mein noodles were soggy/mushy and clearly over cooked. We called back to make a complaint and the Owner said he would take 10% off the order that was 45$. Im not sure what that 4$ was supposed to do for the terrible food and also terrible phone etiquette.

Do not eat here! I wish I would have read these reviews before spending my money here. The food is not edible at all. Fried rice was white rice with soy sauce mixed in. That s it! We took ours to go and a whole sauce dish was emptied all over the containers. I should have known the food was bad when we arrived at lunch time on a weekend and nobody was there eating.

DO NOT EAT HERE!! Absolutely the worst food I have ever tasted and thats saying something. We got a flyer on the door so decided to try a new place.....mistake! It was cheaply priced for what you get, should have been our first clue, but that doesnt matter when the food is disgusting. When the orange chicken arrived I couldnt tell it was orange chicken. It didnt taste anything like any orange chicken I have ever had anywhere. It was very mushy. Out of my entire family I think I ate the most and I only had three pieces. Toward the bottom of the to-go dish you almost couldnt tell each individual piece of chicken apart from one another it was that mushy. The General Tsos shrimp was the same thing. Tasted nothing like anything Ive ever eaten before. It too was very mushy and just not flavorable at all. My wife said it was like eating brain, I sure hope she was just visualizing and hasnt actually ever eaten brain before!! The fried rice looked like it was just streamed rice sprinkled with soy sauce. Half white and have brown and it was very salty. The chicken fried rice was inedible. This place will not be around long. We threw it all in the trash where it belonged and were ineffably disappointed in this place and most indubitably will not be back ever again!!!! However, if you like fortune cookies go here just for those but dont order anything else unless your trash can is hungry!

This place was awful. Every piece of food was cold except for the lo mein. Probably was this was because it was the only thing that they actually cooked but it still wasn t great. Fried rice is only steamed then drowned it soy sauce, it was completely inedible. Nothing was fresh at all we had to throw out the majority.

Im not understanding some of these negative reviews. My husband and I just ordered from here for the first time. The guy on the phone was polite and was very receptive to the fact that I was adamant about wanting extra soy sauce and chop sticks in the bag because that is the main thing i ask for when ordering chinese food. We received our food about 20-25 minutes after I hung up the phone which has never happened to me when Ive ordered any kind of takeout. The delivery guy was polite also. I will be honest and say the food was not the greatest Ive ever had but it was inexpensive and I was not disappointed at all. Portions were nice in size and just like I asked, we got our extra soy sauce and chop sticks. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The customer service varies, not sure why, sometimes theyre great, sometimes theyre not. The food is Ho-him, except for 3 things. They have amazing fried crab rangoon, chicken on a stick, and sweet and sour sauce. When ever we order we always order those. I like their fried rice, but thats because I dont like regular fried rice and their fried rice is steamed rice with some sort of sauce on it (probably soy sauce). My order is normally right, and theyve been more than willing to correct it when something was mistaken. The rest of the food is pretty lacking. You do get a lot of food for the price, and if youre looking some basic food but dont want to go out, it could be worse.

I love this place! And they deliver! Always nice, always helpful, great staff! The pineapple chicken is to die for, sweet and sour shrimp was amazing and the wings where perfect!
