Do NOT ask if there is tours of the brewery. Pink hair bartender looked at me dead in the eyes and asked Are you serious? Thats cute after I asked if there were tours today. After I told her it was my first time there and I read it on Google maps... She didnt treat me like a total idiot. Beer is good. Polka band was better.

Live Oaks hefeweizen is the best beer brewed in Texas. Ive tried so many micro brews, and its still the most well composed, resonantly flavorful, and reliably impressive beer Ive found. The brewery itself is a tree-shaded sanctuary near the Austin airport. It features German themed food trucks, a disk golf course, and a spacious tap room that shouldnt distract you from the amazing oak tree glen just outside.

Great offering of fantastic beers in the traditional German/European style and a huge 18 hole disc-golf course!?! Tasting room is cozy and comfortable and the outdoors has many sunny and shaded options for enjoying the many offerings. The best place to waste an hour picking up a loved one from the airport... and then promptly return to after baggage claim.

A very interesting event held by this iconic brewery. Thanks! It was soulful, atmospheric, and kind. I tried beer, several kinds, and it was very tasty! Good price-quality ratio. NFL football games are a translivalist on big screens, my son Max 11 years old has been watching as if spellbound. He plays football on the West Lake High School football team. Thanks again for the atmosphere!

Place is out of the way, you basically drive between a trailer park and industrial area to get to it, but you are suddenly confronted with a very well maintained, modern facility. Beers are solid German style beers, most of the selection on tap were smoked beers, which I enjoy but dont see too often, let alone eight of them in one place. Great beer, but the customer service was very unsettling. When I initially walked in for a to-go pack, the employee was very short and rude when I asked about the to-go beer options. Whenever I asked for a stamp on my Austin Ale Trail passport, he was reluctant to say yes to stamp it, and whenever he did stamp it, he did it aggressively and stamped my finger when I was trying to hold it open for him. I did not say anything and left. This was one of the last few locations to complete on my passport, and I would say it was by far the most unpleasant experience I ve had at a brewery. I ve been around all kinds of people, but the anger and rudeness this employee exhibited was outright wrong. I do not expect to be treated any better than anyone else, but I hope for the respect I would give you, especially when purchasing your products. I understand this was one employee and did NOT reflect the brewery as a whole, but I would instead not go back to avoid coming in contact with this employee again.

Delicious food and beers, and very nice service!, The location is a little noisy due to planes landing at the airport practically next door, but the outdoor space is so nice and relaxing one can easily forgive the brief interruptions. Highly recommend!

Nice climate controlled facility if thats what youre looking for; otherwise great outdoor spaces under live oak trees. Yes, this brewery has ales (brown or juicy) but they offer more pilsners and hefeweizens than you usually find. Certainly worth a visit. A food trailer is usually serving up interesting grub, too.

I went here to scope out a meeting location for the Porsche Car Club. Only 2 bartenders and one wasnt even ringing anyone up. Went up to order and was told to go back to the end of the other line. Which I did, while standing there the young man began taking other folks orders and a line formed. While ordering from the other tender the young man can up to me and after I joked that I guess there really is two line, he asked me to leave and take my attitude with me. Needless to say I left, horrid service and the car club will not be considering this place as a meet up spot. First experience was enough to never come back. Not that they seem to care anyway. Nice looking place but never even got to have their product.

We were there for Oktoberfest, beer was nice. They had a couple of food trucks, one bbq and one German. Parking was easy. Its located down a country lane. The garden had plenty of shade. Recommended.

TLDR: one of the best breweries I ve been to. For the beer: not only are their beers very good, they are somewhat unique. Fantastic Lagers, pilsners, and a kick but Hefeweizen. Really impressed with the depth and breadth of what they manage to put out. For the atmosphere: the inside taproom is pretty basic/exactly what you expect from a large brewery, but the outside beer garden is wonderful. Massive shade trees and a really pleasant atmosphere with tons of tables. Really recommend coming here on a nice enough day to sit outside.
