I will not stand for any bad comments about la casita. It is a classic that I have been going to my whole life. Their prices cannot be beat and the atmosphere is second to none. I love love love this place and continue to go back for the people and the management.

This place is in a great spot away from all the traffic of the Pearland/Friendswood area. The food is a decent version of Tex-mex. We were hoping for a more authentic Mexican restaurant. The service was okay...not bad, but not awesome. The facility was clean, but most of the people that come there were not welcoming of diversity. That was the main turn off. It was not the fault of the staff but will certainly keep me from returning.

I have been going to this place for 30 years. This is my favorite Mexican food in houston. The food is true home grown family run Mexican food. The service, unfortunately, has decreased significantly. I encourage the current management to really assess their service standards. This place used to be packed and hard to get a table on a Saturday night. I hate to see such a local staple suffer from new employee s lack of priority on service. Other than that, food is still superb.

This place is great! Ive tried lots of different restaurants around the area. So far, this is my favorite. The food was so good. I got the quesadillas. My husband got an enchilada plate. We both shared some cheese dip and salsa. This is the only restaurant thats had satisfactory cheese dip. We definitely will be coming back!

La Casita is a Friendswood staple! We are here multiple times a week and always leave with our tummies full and our hearts happy. Maria ALWAYS (and everyone else!) greets us with a smile. Especially my toddler. He is a La Casita celebrity we can come in for drinks, queso and full meals with sides and never pay over $50 including tip! What a steal. Everyone who works there is so kind and you can tell they truly enjoy being there. We have never had a bad experience in the 30 years that we ve been dining there. Their food is always so yummy and flavorful, and their queso and salsa is to die for! I just wish they would bring back the key lime pie mints

Even after it got a little crowded and some old guy had my Friend I was eating with MOVE CHAIRS so he could comfortably sit with his group......(cause he insisted on reclining in his chair with his leg across his lap pushed back a full foot and a half from his table) ........it was still a good restaurant. Good food, despite a small menu. Great tasting. Service was good too. Though a but pricey. 8 Oz of Chile con Queso is $6.75 a bowl. Your drinks will be roughly $3 a glass. But entree prices were 11-15 per plate. All in all. Not bad.

Food was mediocre...no choice of kind of beans, no customary ice cream at the end of the meal like lots of other places have. Very average taste. Cute decore. Decent time for service. HOWEVER, I was served the wrong order! Hadnt had that happen in forever. Very inconvenient as I had to wait for a 2nd plate which was very hot so had to eat quickly to catch up with the other ladies. Table set up was bad as you couldnt reach the chips at only one end due to a drink menu and advertising stand blocking the middle of the table. When 1 little basket is served it needs to be in the middle of the table which was impossible. DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK.

The atmosphere is nice and roomy, but the food needs work. I ordered the sour cream chicken enchiladas which was chicken and sour cream wrapped in a corn tortilla with some kind of dried, hard cheese on top. This dish was very dry and desperately needs a creamy sauce to go on top of the chicken enchiladas. Unbelievably, they charge their customers $1.75 to swap the refried beans served with the meal for charro beans. I was told by the cashier that making the charro beans was labor intensive. The beans were boiled with little added ingredients - if any, that I saw - so i dont understand whats labor intensive about making a restaurant staple in Mexican restaurants throughout the entire City of Houston and beyond. The guacamole is an avocado mashed and served in a cup - theres no lettuce or tomato served to add some presentation value - I guess thats labor intensive too. The chips and red salsa are as basic as it gets - no green sauce was served. I expected more and was disappointed considering this is a restaurant started by grandma and grandpa, which should have plenty of delicious recipes. I wont be returning. Good luck to them though.

Horrible experience at this establishment. The service and food are sub par. They didn t bring over any of the items we asked for, had to flag down the waitress, and they got the order wrong because they didn t write down the order. They took a long time time to make the order and the place was pretty empty. I ordered the chille relleno and they made the order wrong, I sent it back and what they brought back was a joke. It literally looked like a stuffed jalapeño. I complained to the manager but she didn t really care. She offered a taco as a way to make up for their service (eye roll). No thanks! It was my first time at La Casita. We went early and found parking and got a table right away. Service was prompt and courteous. The issue started with the chips and salsa. The salsa seemed off flavor from the spices. Chips were bland as well. We ordered and the food was delivered in about 5 minutes. I had the #6 Chicken enchiladas. The whole dinner was terrible. It reminded me of the Mexican food of the 1960s. Low quality and bad flavors. They say they have been in business for many years. You would have thought they would learn to cook in the ensuing time.

Our first visit, we picked La Casita as a midpoint location to meet with family (we live about 1.5 hours travel from each others homes). The atmosphere is pleasant, tables are spaced well apart so that one doesnt feel crowded; no loud music was playing and customers were talking in reasonable volume so that table conversation was possible. We each ordered different items and were pleased with our meals. The ladies said the frozen margaritas were good and we guys enjoyed the cold beers. La Casita gets my recommendation as a restaurant you should give a try. We were not disappointed.

A little short of chicken fajitas, but lots of onions to make up for it. It took quite a bit to get the fajitas. The others at the table got food 5-10 minutes before the fajitas came. I am not complaining. I am stating facts. This is very unusual for La Casita. Their fajitas usually have a good amount of chicken and usually the whole tables meals come at the same time . Their prices are always more reasonable then other places. Their food is top notch and their staff is friendly and helpful. They are usually all 5 stars.

I hate to say this, but the food was not very flavorful. It wasnt bad, it just didnt have much flavor. The cheese enchiladas did not have enough cheese, so most of the flavor came from the tortilla. The chips have a baked consistency and lack of flavor, whether or not they are actually baked. The refried beans and rice was bland. The salsa and ground beef were tasty. The people who work there are friendly and attentive. The margaritas were just OK. The coconut margarita was pretty good, but not worth $11.50 for such a small portion. I havent been here in a long time because of the quality of food and Im disappointed that it hasnt improved. I do wish them well, but unless I hear about an improvement, it will be a while before I return.

La Casita is the definition of hometown, inviting, family-run restaurant. You walk in, greeted by a staff member preparing some margaritas, you turn to head in and seat yourself as staff great you with warm smiles and hellos while making your way to an open table. Once seated you re soon greeted by a waiter with chips and salsa - which is always great in flavor and consistency - handed some menus and immediately filled with the sense that you re part of the family now. Every time I eat here it has a sense of coming home, and though I haven t been part of the clientele since the beginning, it always feels like I have. The menu is great, the food is always fantastic, if you need help choosing just try my typical order, the Tom Hanks special with queso, it s always a great choice. But regardless of your pick, from the fajitas to the enchiladas to any dinner plates, La Casita always delivers on the service, quality, and atmosphere which make up an amazing experience every time we visit.

Didn t know what a traditional Mexican drink was. Wayyyyyg too much cheese on everything. I got a queso covered chimichanga shoved with shredded cheese inside. The margarita tasted like a virgin margarita. No taste of strength at all. Used to enjoy this place. Empty on a Saturday night. Disappointed. Won t come back unfortunately

La Casita is by far the best hometown eatery. The small family owned operated restaurant maybe small but it is packed with flavorful Mexican food. When it comes to deciding what to eat for dinner, we somehow always seem to land here. We will definitely be back again.
