I cant personally speak to Jennifers professional skills, but Ive heard very positive reviews through word of mouth. What I can share is something even more significant than professional expertise: the importance of being a kind and caring person. Last year, I went through one of the most challenging times in my life as my mother was placed on hospice care. Unless youve experienced the loss of a mother, its hard to truly empathize with that pain. My daughter, Toi, shared what our family was going through, and Jennifer took the time to share her own heartfelt journey, which she had journaled during her mothers transition. Not many people would take the time to support a stranger in such a difficult moment, and I will always cherish her kindness.

Custody issues are always hard specially as the system is not very easy to navigate. I called to thinking I was going to get a very vague response but it was completely different. The person I spoke with, took the time to listen to what was going on in my situation, and was very honest and upfront about everything. Not only did she give me a good amount of her time to listen, but she also gave me some resources. While one was extremely challenging and I think some lawyers would have given up on it, Jennifer stayed steadfast and saw it through thick and thin. To help family I talked to them and put money in escrow once the paperwork was signed they changed the price and asked for more money My corporate attorney said this is not good practice and as lawyers they know better This has now delayed the issues and caused more problems and delays in a volatile situation Once I told them this was unacceptable they refused to contact me and will not respond to my emails Be careful who you hire

i can honestly say the attorney you hire ought to be based on their skill, reputation, results and quality of their support staff. Soon after I was married, I realized I made the wrong decision. I hoped things would change, but over time it became much worse. About a year ago, something happened that forced me to accept that I needed a divorce. I was scared of the overall process, but i knew it needed to be done. I began my search for an attorney, but none of them were right for me. I m sure all of them could get the job done, but the other attorneys came across as impersonal. I didn t want to feel like just another number while navigating the scariest part of my life. I agreed to have a Case Evaluation with Felicia and knew right away that Hargrave Family Law was the right firm for me. So i heard about Mrs. Hargrave because she came highly recommended by a wife whose husband used in their divorce. I still remember having my first conversation with Jennifer. I had a million thoughts in my head as I was falling apart mentally, emotionally and physically from what was about to be the fallout of my 11 year marriage plus three kids. In my own convictions of my own faith, lawyers were never in the cards for me. I was so convinced that we would just work things out and looking back, I was not able to see things for what it was. But what if I waited till now(almost 2 years later) to get perspective? It would ve been too late. I would ve lost all the footing I needed to be setup for success concerning my future and what s best for my kids. That s where Jennifer comes in. From point A to point Z, Jennifer advocated for me and made sure I had the best situation so I could move forward. She didn t brush me off or my story off when I initially consulted her. I could be completely honest with her and there were some sensitive details of my story. She genuinely believed in me and who I truly was. You dont know what you dont know. However, you do know when something is not working out. With that said, I went through a couple of attorneys before being represented by Melody Petitt with Hargrave Family Law and that made all the difference. I will start off saying that the divorce process is like a game. And the law is the rule book, which is a constant that does not change. Where the game gets interesting are the players involved, petitioner, respondent and legal team. Every case is unique, yet some attorneys approach the process as if its all the same. However, in my case, we were dealing with a high conflict personality; and, it cannot be taken lightly. Unlike my prior attorneys, Melody jumped on my case and took the time to really understand my situation and what we were dealing with. She took the time to educate me on the law and how it applied in my situation, whether it was something I wanted to hear or not. The law is the law. She knew how to deal with the opposing party. Praise the Lord! Jennifer Hargrave is just the family attorney I needed. I hired Jennifer for my enforcement case after the consultation. The Contemnor had substantially fulfilled his responsibilities after the case was filed, but still made fusses to drag the case longer. Jennifer did an analysis tailored to my family and explained the pros and cons of each scenario. She calmed me down when the other party made ridiculous request and employed strategies to resolve the case in such a short time. I trusted her all through the short process we worked together because she is honest, client-orientated, professional, wise, and the kindest. I always have the feeling that I was not only working with an attorney, but also feeling like I had a friend or family member by my side. She even checked on me after Texas was hit with the snow and the severe weather.
