I expected a traditional dining experience, and instead was met with something totally unique in a good way. Grab a table, order at the counter, staff bring your food to the table and they also refill your drinks for you. We liked the chicken wings, brisket and wedge salad. The fried potatos were good too, but our least favorite of what we ordered.

Food is good but the amount you are paying you would expect to walk away full. We had the brisket and pork loin and for appetizer was the noodles and wings. The overall price is a bit high especially since you do not get any side with it or anything to go with your entree. The atmosphere is nice and the overall experience for me is that it is a very hipster or trendy place to go to. The wings are a bit overpriced for $13.50 you would expect more then 6 small wings and blue cheese sauce which was watery. The brisket was $18.50 which is a bit high for me since if you go to a decent BBQ place, they are charging $20-$30 for a pound. This doesnt even seem to reach half a pound. The pork loin was $15.50 which also seems over priced for me since it is just the pork loin itself. The service is all right since most of the things are self serve besides the alcoholic drink. Overall I would come back just to try their new food or if I was invited out but would not come if I am hungry in my opinion. Like I mentioned before it is very hipster or trendy.

Loro has been a staple in our household for many years. Unfortunately, we will no longer be coming here as frequently (if at all) due to the change in their ordering system. To go from pioneering a new way to run a restaurant by ordering directly from your table via your phone to now waiting in line at the bar to order, essentially like your at a local dive bar. The bartender was so overwhelmed and couldn t even pour a beer properly due the increase in responsibilities. This new ordering system is so chaotic and inconvenient especially for what is essentially a tapas style establishment. Either start using waiters or go back to the order as you go method on your phone. Our order this evening came out wrong (in multiple ways) and that has never been the case in the past. Very disappointed and I hope they consider reverting to the old system in the future.

With two young children, Loro used to be one of our favorite places to dine because of the ability to order periodically from your table via the webapp. Now its switched to ordering at the bar which is incredibly inconvenient with small children. Our server was super understanding and took our order from the table, but we really think you should revert back to ordering remotely from the webapp. Based on all the children that were there Im sure other families feel the same.

I ve been coming to loro for almost 2 years now. Today I come in and all of a sudden they took away their option of ordering from the table off my phone and now I have to go up to the counter to order. This is ridiculous! Such a small convenient feature being taken away is very upsetting it s almost making me not want to come back. The food is delicious and the staff is amazing but this change is straight B.S! This is the most stupid decision I ve seen a business make.

I came here with no expectations, and I was not impressed. The atmosphere was amazing, great outdoor seating on a nice night. I can t truly rate service as you place orders on your phone, that was easy and fast. The food was a bit underwhelming for me, but the bar situation was the biggest negative. We didn t order drinks because they don t carry a lot, pineapple juice to be specific, and the person working the bar wasn t knowledgeable about alternatives for sweetening a margarita. It was quite empty for a Saturday night. Not enough pluses to bring me back on purpose.

The food was not at all what I was expecting. It seems that they were trying to combine Asian cuisine and BBQ, but the food did not mix well. I had the smoke brisket sandwich, and all I tasted was vinegar, peanuts, and coleslaw. The meat itself was not the highlight of the sandwich. I had also ordered the edamame; however, it was burned on one side and tasted like paper towels. On top of that automatic 20% gratuity was applied to our check. Overall, I would not recommend it.

Parking: Free parking lot surrounding restaurant. Some difficulty navigating the parking lot due to construction nearby.

Adding this place to my list of favorites! As long as you understand that it s a Millennial s paradise where you order from your phone at your table the service is GREAT! Food came out super quickly after we placed our orders and it was all delicious! Be aware that it comes out as it is finished - this isn t an issue for me but it might sway someone else s method of ordering their meal. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars only because it s a bit on the loud side. The outdoor area would be a perfect solution during not-stupid-hot months. We ordered: Tostadas - messy and worth the need to wash your hands! They re piled high with brisket and have a ton of flavor. Rice Noodles - Is a cold noodle dish and also full of flavor. The chili oil is a nice touch of heat. Sake Can Chicken - Juicy and the skin had a ton of flavor. Perfect sized entree - you definitely get a bang for your buck. Smoked Salmon - is the only salmon I ve had since I moved to Dallas 10 years ago that is legitimately cooked to the right temperature. It s more of a mid-rare instead of cooked to the point of dry. A bit sweet, the pickles are a great balance. Crème Brûlée - Simple but great! Not much of the ancho flavor though. I wish there had been more heat. Slushee Flights - the Killer Colada was our favorite. The Vietnamese Coffee was a close second. The Peach Aperol Spritz was relatively flavorless but refreshing in this Texas heat. My least favorite was the Mango Sake - it was more sake than mango and I m not the biggest sake fan. I m sure if sake is your thing it s great. We got all of that for under $100!

Really no reservation is required just ask if they can accommodate the moment you walk in!

Cant wait to come back!

It was really a different experience, classic low and slow bbq meets Asian fusion. Service was fast, timely, and Food came out at a great pace. Happy hour drinks were robust with plenty of options to satiate the palette. The Gin and Tonic slush and the Sake Mango were light and refreshing while giving that nice little boozy kick. The food was awesome. Smoked salmon dip wkth wanton chips were lightly fried but not heavy, the dip itself was packed with flavor. The brisket toasted was meat with a little bit of heat but in a wet the appetite type of way. The hot chicken sandwich is what did me in l, you want somw heat then this is the one to get. Mouth was a little on fire for me but still had a nice balance with the cabbage slaw. Going on Monday night was the real treat getting to order the beef ribs thst literally fall off the bone and great flavor profile with the pineapple bbq sauce. 10/10

The only possibility when ordering for the second time is that we did not understand the restaurant s tipping regulations. We left a $10 tip on the table. Received a flyer for this place at a bridal show and the same day decided to make a visit. HUGE indoor space. Bar seating, high top and booths. Using your phone and QR code, you have the option to open a tab to order food and drinks or request a server. Ordering additional items and closing your tab from your phone as opposed to waiting for a server was very handy. Drink and food service was QUICK. Outside space included covered and uncovered patio, under tree seating with wicker bucket swings and corn hole games for added fun. I came midday but I can only imagine the vibe during happy hour and after dinner. Friendly staff.

Loro has been one of my fav restaurants in Dallas. The Smokey char they get on the meats and vegetables is unreal. I love all of their salads and veg offerings. (April 2024) enjoyed our dinner! Weather was perfect for the patio. The food was great! Had the melon/tomato salad which is one of my favs, but not as much this time, maybe just because it s too early for tomato season. The coconut rice, brisket and zucchini were all fantastic! Enjoyed the slushees the sangria and a combo slushee of the gin and tonic with the mango sake. Had ordered the salmon but it never came out (but was full anyways), so they packed it to go for us along with an additional to go order we made. The to go packaging is awesome! They label everything, so nice! The leftovers have been so good! Including the key lime pie (just wish it was bigger ) enjoyed the 1/2 chicken and salmon in our to go order. The zucchini dish heated back up nicely! Overall great experience, and continues to be one of my favs just sometimes , some dishes are a little inconsistent at this location but overall really solid Was excited when they announced a second location and on our first visit, they exceeded expectations and were just as delicious and consistent as the other location. But on the second visit (4/10/23) the food was disappointing. I have raved for years about how good the brisket is at Loro without having to wait in bbq lines, but it was dry and tough today, needed to grab knives to cut it. Flavor was still good but just not the same quality that I ve experienced at the other locations. The pork ribs (a Monday special) were also a little tough and dry but good flavor. I also noticed that the brisket was served differently at this location, sliced much thinner. Hopefully it was just an off day but I ve never had anything but fantastic brisket at the east Dallas and Austin locations. Back to the first visit (Feb 2023) - Got the zucchini this time. Also tried their limited time ramen. It s more of a curry sauce , not a more clear broth ramen but regardless, it was really really good. Got it with the brisket (also comes with shrimp), only available Tuesday and Wednesday. Would def get the ramen again. The burger was also phenomenal. They have great happy hour items too. I actually think the layout for the outdoor space at this location is better than the other Dallas location. They did a really great job here inside and out. Crushed it.

I was dining in a few days ago and had one of the worst experience when it came to a burger. Typically a burger is very hard to mess up because of the sheer simplicity, but I ordered the Loro Cheese Burger and it was the most embarrassing burger Ive ever eaten. I wasnt able to finish it and I was on a lunch break so I didnt have time to wait for the waiter to come around and ask about my food (waiting for this burger took ages as well). The bun was not toasted and it was cold. I am not sure if this was intentional, but it didnt sit well on the palate. I asked for a medium-well burger and it came out basically well-done. There wasnt enough to support this burger as far as taste goes. The burger wasnt juicy nor did it had any other supporting features i.e. sauce/flavoring. This review is just for this burger in particular. I know this restaurant doesnt specialize in a burger, but I hope this will be reviewed and considered when making changes for this item on the menu.

I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant. I had received a smartly done marketing card packet with a $15 off coupon. I was really hungry and we ordered a lot of food. I have attached photos of the main and side dishes that were ordered. The atmosphere was the best thing here. It would be a great place to meet up with a few friends to have a few drinks. There were multiple tv screens as seen in the indoor dining picture. The food looks amazing, but the taste just isnt there, at all. Our appetizers were the The Thai Chips and Dip and the Grilled Edamame. The best thing about the chips and dip was the Thai green salsa. Otherwise, nothing else stood out. The Edamame was the winner of the night. It was excellent! The flavor popped with sesame and was a great value for the amount of food you received. The Papaya Salad was good, but I am not a fan of sour, so I really couldnt eat very much of it. Our main entrees were The Chopped Smoked Brisket (Rice Bowl) which was shredded like a barbacoa and was way too sweet and The Malaysian Curry Chicken (Rice Bowl) that had no flavor, whatsoever. There was a sauce added on the side in a plastic container. I tested it before pouring it onto my meal. It was so sour that if I had put it on my dish, it would have been inedible. Our desserts were Key Lime Pie which was the smallest portion of a piece of pie that I have ever seen in my life. The cost was outrageous for what you got. The pie was served in a tiny aluminum circular container. The other dessert was a chocolate chip cookie which was okay, but the price was double what it should have been. Overall, our dining experience was not good. The food for the most part was eye candy with no delivery in taste. I am not sure that I would return here unless it was for drinks only. Big disappointment! I really try not to give bad reviews, but this place really needs to look at their flavor profiles and make some serious changes in my opinion. Delicious and creative food with fast service that doesn t make you feel rushed to order or leave. I highly recommend the Chicken Karaage and Corn Fritters. The Yuzu Sprits is incredibly refreshing and their happy hour specials are well worth the stop. We really appreciate the way they go above and beyond to correct any issues or swap the order if it s too spicy

Loro Addison has gone to the south very quickly recently. I have enjoyed food and service before. However, last two days of experience definitely changed my mind. I went there with my co workers (6 of us) for lunch on 01/16/24. As we sat down and ordered our food as a group order. Then the app had an issue to check out for the payment. I had to find any server available. It was so hard to get any help to finalize our orders for about 10 minutes or so. We finally got one server to help us. He eventually reordered manually on his small hand-held machine and asked me to pay. When I tried to pay, it was asking me to pay the tip! I asked him how I could pay the tip even before the order??? Isnt the tip for the service that I pay after the meal? It was almost like the huge pressure to pay the tip as a part of the price of the food. I paid the tip anyway. Another 10 minutes later or so, server delivered only two out of four appetizers and told us the other two would come soon. Then the main meals were provided. in the middle of the main meals, I asked one of the servers that we didnt get the appetizer orders yet. It seems they totally forgot. When we finished up all our main meals, the other two appetizers came out! We could not enjoy the other two appetizers as we finished out meals. We, 6 of us left the restaurant with very disappointing feelings. Then I decided to order take outs on 01/17/24, a day after the bad experience, because I still thought their food was decent. I ordered fritters, rice bowl, and salad for to go @ 04:15 and was told the food would be ready by 04: 31. I arrived at the take out parking spot @ 04:35 and sent them a message I was here to pick up. I got an reply saying one of the staffs would come out with the order very quickly. Well, I waited for 20 minutes till 04:55, but no one came out. So I decided to come in the restaurant and check. Once I came in and asked for my order, a staff told me they have been busy. Guess what?! There were only two tables with the customers. Restaurant was almost empty! I was shocked for what I was told. Then a staff tried to offer a free cookies. Are you kidding me? I have been waiting for 20 minutes and the food was already cold on the shelf! I was quite frustrated and disappointed again! I rejected the free cookie and picked up my order and quickly left the restaurant. Once I came home and open the food.... well food were not good at all. Salad was soaked with too much of the dressing. (see the picture!) Vegetable was not fresh. Fried tofu was like it was fried multiple times and full of oil. Rice bowl was very small and tasted very plain. Fritters were same soaked with oil and too greasy. I totally felt that the staffs were just looking for tips and more tips even before the service, food has been gone south very much and tasted very oily and plain. Prices were hyped, just because of the concept of the Asian fusion, which doesnt make sense and didnt deliver the concept to the food at all. After two days in a row pretty bad experiences, I gave up Loro Addison. If you really want to try this restaurant, be prepare to pay the big tip even before the food, expect you would have to keep looking for the services even the tips, see the lots of staffs doing nothing, but looking for the money, wait for your food which staffs will forget about.

Ehh...I expended more from the chefs of Uchi. The restaurant is nice. We went on a Sunday night. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant. It was nice and quiet. The lighting was low and intimate, and the noise level was great. The food? Not so great. The potatoes were ok...too much sauce though. The cod sandwich was very average. The $20 salad was something I would have whipped up at home with left over ingredients. There was about 5 pieces of arugula in the salad. How are you going to be cheap with arugula? The drinks were just ok. The one thing I absolutely hated was the way you had to order. You have to scan a QR at the table and place you entire order through the link on your phone. If others are eating with you, you need to either place their order for them on your phone or send them a link to your table. My order kept glitching and causing an issue. Im sure an older generation would get very frustrated with this system. You also have to manually close out online or they will automatically charge you 20%, and you have to enter your credit card details online...not something Im a fan of. All in all, this was one and done for us.

The patio looked inviting, but that was the only positive aspect. The food was awful. Our dishes came out at different times, so some had to sit, watching their food go cold, until everyone was served. The chicken sandwich was a 3 thick hunk of chicken on a soggy bun. No condiments. No sides. The ice tea was cloudy and had a 2-day-old moldy taste and was truly undrinkable. The brisket rice bowl had a little meat (about 3 oz), a cup of rice and lots of filler greens. One of our party was ill for 2 days afterward. Frankly, 1 star was far too generous. We wont be back. Well tell our friends to avoid it.

What else can I say about Loro but just agree with everyone else, this place is the bomb! The ordering is easy and convenient, you just walk up to the designated spots at the bar and place your order. All of the food options we have tried have been excellent. The Chicken Kaarage is always a highlight and the Corn Fritters are excellent. You really cannot go wrong with any of the Rice bowls either. I do need to take a moment to highlight the chicken sandwich! You have to try it! I have no idea how they possibly can get the chicken as crispy as they do. It is so light but still crispy and awesome. I really appreciate how the servers explain each dish as they deliver it and they are happy to answer any questions you may have. Very highly Reccommended. If you havent tried Loro yet you are missing out!

You can order through a QR code which assigns the table you are at or just go to the bar and order from there! The food was brought out quick and at a good temperature. I highly recommend this to anyone who is trying to have an Asian Fusion taste!

Good food and great atmosphere! A bit disappointed that I had to order on my phone, but it did make paying a lot easier! My girlfriend got the chips and smoked salmon dip along with the curry marinated shrimp bowl, while I got the oak smoked beef angus bowl. I liked the beef, but was a bit disappointed in the flavor; however, I was WOWED by the curry marinated shrimp, which overwhelmed my girlfriend, so we ended up switching dishes! Overall a fun experience and I m glad we came here!

Counter-service restaurant with adult beverages, indoor seating and outdoor patio area. Happy hour 2p to 6p weekdays, live music sometimes on the patio. The location is very Austin, with a pleasant outdoor seating area and the serve yourself food/drink countertop. Food is good, price might be a little high depending on what youre getting. While the location is convenient to Addison, some of the pleasantness of the patio is undone by the parking lots immediately adjacent (noise and smog). Service is very average. Its a great place for a first date or meeting with friends/coworkers after work. Theres also half a dozen other restaurants within walking distance in case it doesnt work out.

Originally we were very big fans of Loro. We absolutely love the place in uptown Dallas where we first enjoyed it. We even have experienced it in Austin. When this place first opened it was a clone of the other Loros and it was very good. However, this location has gone downhill. Many of their classics such as oak grilled snap peas, and other entrees like the bavette are no longer on the menu. I assumed due to cost cutting measures and or reengineering their menu to suit the clientele of the area. Ultimately, their menu is very hit and miss. Some things are very good such as the sesame noodles, other things leave a lot to question in balance such as the recent new pork dish. Compounded by the fact that the price here is not cheap for drinks or food. Makes you consider the value youre really getting here. Especially considering the very good competition just nearby. Im sad to say that this will probably fall into a lower position of rotation if we ever come back here at all. Is the food good? Yes. Is it worth it? Possibly not.

The food was disappointing. We had the 1/2 chicken, the brisket, and the grilled zucchini. The brisket was cold. Because this place has eclectic flavors, we were not sure if that was on purpose. If it was, it did not turn out well. The zucchini itself was good but the cashew sambal under the zucchini was awful and ruined it. I recommend to order the zucchini with the sambal on the side. The 1/2 chicken tasted fine, pretty average, but was not worth the price. I do like the atmosphere of the place. The prices discourage frequent visits but the atmosphere feels like that they want to encourage regulars. Theres a nice outdoor seating area and I saw people in active conversation with the bartender.

I m typically skeptical of asian fusion, but loro executes it well. Their self-seating and spacious patio with live music makes for a casual but lively vibe. You start your tab from the qr code at the table, which makes it easy to order at your convenience. Their happy hour deals are great and offer the opportunity to try a little of everything at a reasonable price. Good drinks too! Salmon dip wasn t as good as the last time I had it, but the other dips did not disappoint. Get the fried wonton chips and the hushpuppies

5-star reviews and much anticipated meat selection (since Franklin Barbeque was co- foundation of this place) were met with brutal reality. Smoked beef brisket sandwich was nothing like the photo and portion of brisket that was hidden at the bottom was a joke. Menu beautifully described the food but not quite matched their food. Furthermore, it deceived Asian origin. In 1/2 chicken with gochujang sauce, sauce was nowhere to be tasted (I grew up eating the sauce so I would know its existence on any food). Thai chips with Thai salsa and peanut sambal? -expect fried greasy wonton chips with salty canned sauces. If they have no culinary experiences, they should not borrow the culture to make their menu sound diverse.

Pretty good barbecue spot with a hipster twist. The hipster twist is that the bbq proportions are smaller than others (in terms of a bbq sandwich). However, they add a really good slaw on top. Excellent service, prompt, clean and the servers explain each dish as its served to you. Even something as simple as french fries. Customer friendly prices on drinks. Personally, I wish there was a heavier serving of bbq instead of slaw but this is what makes them different. Ive been here a few times and will likely do so again if im in addison area.

I thought the food was pretty good, my wife got fairly ill from something, she stopped eating everything she had ordered because she didnt think it tasted right (she thought it was all really salty). I ate all of her food in addition to everything I ordered and thought it all was fine, and felt fine. My only issue was the woman at the bar who took our order (she had short hair dyed a bright color), she acted fairly put-out while interacting with us, as the restaurants first impression I would recommend an attitude adjustment, there are too many choices in the DFW to feel like mediocre service should be tolerated. If I come back here it will be for take out, I highly recommend the steak and would gladly order that to go.

Food was absolutely delicious! Loved the chicken karaage, crispy potatoes and thai chips (PLENTY To share!). Restaurant is great for meeting up with friends (like I was) or to bring your family. The ability to grab your own water/takeout containers etc. at a station setup in the restaurant was really convenient. Ordering at the counter wasn t great as I stood behind only one person in line for more than 10 minutes (and they were only ordering 1 drink and 1 item). It was similar to ordering drinks at bar and didn t really feel setup for regular food orders. It was also a bit cramped indoors where you wait to order, so I was awkwardly close to other tables/people while waiting. Tipping issue- So customers are tasked with getting and refilling their own water, ordering their food and alcohol at the counter/bar, getting their own silverware, napkins, takeout containers and bags to pack up leftovers. This is totally fine, however their shouldn t be a tip line (like there is) when you pay, unless someone is actually waiting on you. I was a server for many years, so I make sure to always tip generously, 20-25% or more, even for mediocre service (and I did tip here as well, btw) However, I also know the effort that I put in as a server to earn the tips I received and it feels completely unmerited here to ask customers for a tip when you get everything yourself and food and drinks are priced accordingly where staff could be compensated fairly without passing this on to the customers that are literally serving themselves.

I did not like this restaurant. The customer does all the work: seat yourself, order at counter, get your own water, utensils, and plates, but they want tips before any service is rendered?? I think not. To order appetizers: go to the counter, pay. To order entrees: go to the counter, pay again. To order more than one cocktail: go to counter each time, pay some more. Food came out at different times; my friends were done eating when mine finally came. Soooo dumb. Waiters came by 3 times with someone elses order. Expensive.
