We hired Laura for our Estes Park, CO destination wedding. We live in Houston, and even though there were plenty of wedding photographers available in Colorado, none of them captured the vibe, the liveliness, and the stunning use of natural light I saw in Lauras work. I knew I had to ask her to to be our wedding photographer. From the beginning, Laura took her time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. She suggested we meet just to get to know each other. Not only is she a delightful person who puts you at ease, but its very clear she cares about who she is photographing and what theyre about. Throughout the entire wedding process, she checked in regularly and maintained both a professional and a personal touch. We also did a couples shoot in Rocky Mountain National Park two days before the wedding. Laura researched all the best viewpoints, gave us options, and even went to the specific spots the day before at the same time as our photo shoot the next day to check lighting in each spot. She was so detail oriented, and both her pictures from that shoot and our wedding are stunning. Even our guests have raved about her work. None of the picture were overly posed for forced, she captured everything in an airy and romantic light, and she really caught the best candid and spontaneous moments--she captured the life behind the whole weekend. I cant say enough about Lauras work or how she brings out the best in her subjects. We will definitely ask her to capture all our life milestones from now on.

I cannot recommend Laura highly enough. This was the second time we used Laura for family photos. Despite having a cranky toddler, Laura was so incredibly flexible and patient (and she somehow managed to capture countless beautiful photos). She was able to work around my schedule and timing and when it comes to location, she knows how to pick them!! Laura was amazing. We decided to do a last minute extended family photo shoot since we were all flying into town for a wedding, and she fit us in at the last minute by moving a few things around. We asked her about a few different shooting locations, and she visited each one before the shoot to give us her opinion of each. During the session, she was super flexible let us take as many shots/ poses as we wanted. Most importantly, the photos came out amazing. Would absolutely recommend Laura!

The key to great photos is the innate ability to see people, their style and passions and really, their essence. For me, this shows in photos and Laura can do this effortlessly. We did a photoshoot to remember our trip to TX and to mark our sons first birthday. I had a great experience working with Laura! She was very prompt and professional in our communication and she was very understanding when I had to change our appointment due to a family emergency. She also was very conscientious of the fact that my 7-month-old daughter would require special attention, so Laura worked around my daughters schedule and the weather, ensuring we wouldnt be out in the cold or rain. She was very nice and patient during the photoshoot and her photos turned out amazing! She did the editing within two weeks and gave me lots of version to choose from. I would absolutely work with Laura again and recommend her in particular for those interested in doing a photoshoot with young children.

Laura was such a pleasure to work with for our prenatal photoshoot! She was so flexible and able to go along with our ideas to achieve the concept we were going for, and was very fun and energetic on the day of the shoot. She was very efficient with the time allotted and helped us feel comfortable right away! We were completely blown away by the final product, and were so thrilled to receive so many high-quality photos that we will cherish for years/decades to come! Choosing Laura as our wedding photographer was about the best decision we made in the whole planning process - and, if youre in the thick of wedding planning, you know how many decisions that is. Laura created a breathtaking array of images to memorialize everything from the big to the small. We are still captivated by the quiet moments of grace and beauty that she captured, because all we can remember ourselves is trying to get the day to go smoothly. Lauras turn around time for our album was incredibly fast, without sacrificing quality or our satisfaction, and she was both extremely professional and fun, even when we encountered unscheduled setbacks. On a personal note, I am especially grateful that among our wedding photos is one of me hugging my favorite uncle, who was pretty camera-shy. As life goes, that uncle suddenly became ill and passed away shortly after our wedding. First of all, we were married in Los Cabos, Mexico, so finding a photographer willing to come to our destination wedding was crucial. Laura was more than happy to travel for our wedding and has vast experience with traveling for professional purposes. No only will she travel (thank goodness!), but she is a truly talented photographer! Laura has the eye for finding the most visually aesthetic surroundings for more artistic images. She also has impeccable timing for capturing moments for authentic human expression. Having the ability to do both is a true gift! It really put us at ease to know that our pictures were going to come out fabulous during our wedding. After looking through all of our wedding photos we are so amazed by her use of light and the visual range from all of the photos. She captured some of the most intimate images as well as the most fun scenes at the party. As a couple we are very detail oriented and provided very specific needs for what wanted for our pictures. Laura is an incredible photographer and incredible person! Back in March 2019, my wife and I had two wedding ceremonies (big Indian wedding and a smaller hipster wedding) since we have a large group of great friends not able to travel to the Indian wedding spot. We ranked 11 different photographers and found Laura s ability to adapt to different wedding ambiances and themes top notch. We wanted a lot of pop since our wedding was really colorful, and Laura was perfect. Before the wedding, Laura called us before talking about pricing and logistics just to get to know us personally and our story. She was the only one that did that among photographers on our list and one of the few among all wedding vendors we booked. I think it really helped her get the right shots matching our personalities to the photos. Her pricing is excellent especially for the amount of work she puts in. Our engagement shoot was great. She planned it out perfectly to get the right scenery with the natural light. It was a long day, but she made sure we were energized with enough breaks and coffee. The day of the ceremonies, she and her team were extremely well coordinated with all of the vendors. They were super-efficient getting portraits in before and after without feeling rushed. I think most important of all is she and her team were a blast to work with! After the festivities, she sent us a small batch of photos immediately to share with the family and the big album about 2 months later which is quicker than we expected! Laura is now our family photographer for pretty much everything!

Laura is an amazing photographer. She first photographed our wedding in 2013. She is exceptional at capturing candid moments. She was able to take great shots throughout the wedding reception without really feeling like there was a photographer in your face. She has since photographed two of our children for newborn photo shoots and has taken great pictures then as well. Let me just start by saying Laura is one of the best photographers I have EVER worked with! I just got married in May and I was so unhappy with my wedding photographer and the experience I had with her. She also didn t take many photos of me in my veil and we ran out of time to do many bridal photos the day of the wedding. Let me just say I was a little scarred on working with professional photographers for a little while...(UNTIL Laura that is!) So, to add to my collection of wedding photos and as a surprise gift for my husband, I decided to take some boudoir photos in my veil and other classy lingerie. Laura came highly recommended from a trustful friend who had recently done the same thing (a bridal boudoir) and after seeing her pics I was even more so convinced I wanted to work with Laura! I can t tell you enough how professional, kind, honest, and easy-going, and TALENTED she is. I mean come on- you gotta be comfortable get half naked in front of this person, and I can honestly tell you, Laura made it sooooo easy and made me feel so comfortable and confident. And the pictures...OMG...the pictures are AmaZiNg!!!! There are so airy and so sensual and classy, not at all cheesy looking. I m in awe of them. And the best part- she doesn t charge you ridiculous prices like the other photographers I sought out. She doesn t nickel and dime you for every outfit change and doesn t limit her services to only providing a printed out book of the photos. I solely wanted digital photos and she did just that. Trust me, it s hard to find a better price for what she offers. All in all, I would hands down recommend Laura and her photography services to anyone!!!!

When we came across Laura Sponaugle Photography, the variety of her wedding styles fine art, traditional, fashion and photojournalism, really resonated with us. The uniqueness and versatility of her portfolio was impressive, but Laura s responsiveness, pricing and the overall rapport we had with her was truly what set her apart from everyone else we had met prior. We have worked with several other photographers before, but the disparity in the overall experience and comfort in front of the camera (I am horrible in front cameras when it comes to photo shoots) was what really distinguished her from the rest. Weddings are inevitably going to be stressful in some aspect. In our case, we both were tied up with work throughout the nights leading up to the wedding, facilitating family members coming in, handling last minute changes etc. but Laura definitely eliminated the photography variable as a potential stress factor. She communicated well with us throughout the process (engagement shoots, traditional ceremony and reception) and essentially functioned as an extension of us and just did her thing. She handled large groups well, was effective in maneuvering throughout the reception and was able to capture phenomenal images of everyone throughout each event. She was prompt with the photo edits which came out amazing. We finally just got around to printing them! Laura is a phenomenal photographer. I cant rave about her enough! She captured both of my childrens newborn pictures at our home, as well as some family pictures at Rice. Shes open-minded, easy to talk to, and is a pro at capturing what makes our family special. I dont know what we would do without her!

Laura is great to work with. She has taken family photos for the last few years for our family which includes 4 adults and 4 children ranging from 1.5 - 5 years old. She is extremely patient and manages to capture great images of our rambunctious kids. She has a calm behind the camera that settles the kids. If you are not sure where you would like your setting, she gets a feel for what you want and can suggest local areas to take your photos. Her pricing is always reasonable and the turnaround time to receive your edited photos is very quick. There is no pressure to order above and beyond what you want. I cant wait to work with her again next year.
