Cobbleheads in Brownsville is known as one of the classics, and we finally visited it for the first time. Everything was delicious, and the portions are very good. Without a doubt, a place worth visiting to enjoy excellent food. It has tables outside where we can enjoy the hangover and some ducklings!

First time here ,heard alot of good things only to be very disappointed 1.Our Server was rude as hell. 2.He him self said he was very busy so he was really trying to rush our table to order. 3. When we told him to settle down,he responded with well let me get you another server. 4. My daughters order and mine took well over 45min ,we had to sit there and watch every one else eat. 5 to top it off I was forced to give a 19%tip in which he did not deserve. 6 My friends were also very freak out and disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cobble heads restaurant and I was blown away by the incredible live music performance by Emilio Crixell & Border Soul that play on Sundays 5-8pm. Emilios talent on the guitar is nothing short of extraordinary; hes on par with legends like Santana, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. If youre a fan of Santanas music or Stevie Ray , you absolutely must experience Emilios performances - its like discovering a hidden gem of local talent! The combination of delicious food and outstanding music made for an unforgettable evening. I highly recommend this group and restaurant.

Horrible service. Takes a long time to get served and when you do get served it comes with an attitude. In need of retraining workers who have been there many years. Disappointing. Very expensive beer to. Hidden surcharges makes you feel like you are being ripped off. Ripped off with bad service. Never going back. Stay away from this place.

They claim to be open until 12am - unfortunately they are not. They stop serving food at 11pm. The last hour is just to let the drinkers get a few more in before closing. I understand closing the kitchen before closing... but an hour early? This establishment be honest about it. Also the kitchen is gross. It was wide open to the outside (since they had already stopped serving food) and I wish I had not looked in there as we left to find an option that was open.

As soon as we walked in the hostess was rude. We got seated and were greeted nicely until we asked for a couple of high chairs. Our waitress got annoyed. The food was obviously frozen before hand and everything was too dry and lacked flavor. My husband asked for water and our waitress disappeared to sit at the bar and count her tips. He never got a refill. We had to ask someone else for help until our waitress came back. Terrible food. Terrible service. Live music was good.

Went 2 days in a row had 2 different types of experiences. Although 1 day went in a group 2nd only 3 of us. 1st time with group took way too long with order and I had the Mexican burger it was average. 2nd day ordered the Cubano was very delicious and great portion. Can be a bit pricey if youre not careful when ordering.

One thing I have to mention right away is the service was exceptional. The waiters are very experienced and are very kind. They know how to treat customers, however, the food is not all that great. Maybe it was what I ordered but it just wasnt all that great. Secondly the include a service fee when you use a debit or credit card but dont give you a disclaimer before charging the bill.

Great location on the resaca. Beautiful palm trees, very relaxing. Food was meh maybe I shouldn t have ordered the nachos . they were made with cheese sauce, not real cheese, hardly any jalapeños, and not fully warmed up. Well, this place is ok. Yes, good musicians at times. Nice lake patio depend on weather its hot or cold they have a roof. As far as the food is good, what my mom ordered was I think the Rick it is a beef spinach wrap, with a garden salad. I just ordered a small tortilla soup, which was alright. As far as service was aweful I literally had to get up for my stuff as far as utensils, refills because the waiter or waiters kept bypassing us and would not ask if anything was needed yet we sat with everyone who were being served and I was invisible to them I asked for straws twice it never made it to the table that being said I asked for napkins they never got here the waiter would say sure Ill get you it with anything Id ask well those 2 items and never got there I waited, waited and waited and yet everyone and their mother was being served and they would constantly pass by me knowing what I needed and they were acting as if they were clueless and not bring it. I got irritated and went inside to get it myself by that time my soda was watered down and the beer was done never came to check on us so I didnt order anything else for that reason it was never to get there. They said short in staff well there were only 4 tables outside including us party of 2 and still seriously..so finished whatever he came with our food and yes he sees table is wet and still places plates on table on top of the water then I had to get up for utensils as well. We finished, and I paid and left. Will I come back? I dont know for that kind of service. If that is the point, then Id get everything myself rather than to be waited on. On my photos, you can see why I needed napkins. The tables were wet. And yet the order came out, and no napkins nor utensils. That is my proof.

Wow! What an amazing find! This place has a great laid back yet up beat atmosphere. Our server Edward was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! He was attentive and excellent at his job. He never let our drinks get more than half empty, and was very informative about the menu. Whoever owns this establishment please give this man a raise. I travel all over the US and dine in hundreds to thousands of establishments each year. Edward has provided me with the most exceptional service Ive had anywhere. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and it was all superb. Highly recommend this place! Thank you Edward for a great supper experience.

While in town, we were next to this restaurant, which has late hours. They have alot of variety on the menu. Everything my family and I ate was pretty good, like the T-bone steak, chicken fried steak, and basic nachos. We would Not order the queso or the chicken tenders if we went back. They both lacked alot. Our server was very nice and quick. The atmosphere was plus for me, there was a band and the large patio overlooked the pond. Vegetarian options: Nachos, salad, appetizers, and pasta options. Parking: Easy entry and exit. Conveniently located next to several hotels Kid-friendliness: Yes....our 2 year old was running around on the patio. And our 12 and 9 year old ate from the kids menu. They also have to-go cups with a lid for kids. That is important to me bc it helps limit spills

Great food, great view, great people. I came several times over a weeklong stay at a nearby hotel. The portions are generous and the food is tasty. The service was always good. I also loved feeding the ducks and turtles. Best dishes I had: Quesadilla. Generous portion, super tasty. Nachos. Huge portion, delicious. Chicken fried steak. Huge portion, very good. The exhaust & AC broke while we were there, so not only were we trapped (we couldnt pay our tabs & leave) in their party room with no ac & smoke. Our food had already come out so we could not enjoy it. I did enjoy the wings at home. No compensation was given for the inconvenience & the waiter charged 18% gratuity on the tab. This place is amazing. We planned on going to one of the local chains for Mother s Day. While driving around Brownsville we saw a parking lot that still had open spots so we stopped. We were greeted by every employee upon entering. We chose to sit outside on the resaca and one of the staff noticed our young daughter eyeing the water. He came over and gave her a cup of bread to feed the catfish and ducks. If you eat with a three year old you know how big this was for us. Food was excellent Price was very fair. Drinks were huge (including the mimosa they gave my wife for Mother s Day) Cannot recommended enough!!

We usually ask for water while we look at the menu. The water was AWFUL! I told waiter, I think these glasses still have soap in them. He replied, no, its faucet water. Its how it tastes here. Im from San Antonio. I know this is not how the faucet water taste here at my parents and my siblings house. I asked if the soda machine had a water filter to it. Waiter said yes. I asked for a bottled water for son and soda for myself. Soda tasted awful. Apparently bottled water was sold out. Waiter returned apologizing and brought a lemonade for my son. That too tasted horrible. That was a waste of $$$$. We left after appetizers. Son didnt take more than 1 sip, I didnt drink 1/4 of my drink. We were still charged for them. She helped me find something that I could make vegan on their menu she had so much patience and paid so much attention to the details of my order and the food I had was phenomenal everything was absolutely delicious and the salsa was the best. Its a nice place with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking a resaca (lake). Food is mostly bar food, but well made and reasonably priced. Fridays and Saturdays there is frequently live music.

Lovely atmosphere out on the patio. I always order deep fried icecream. Best that Ive found anywhere. Margaritas are great, dont miss these two items. The mushrooms are great on the appetizers and plate of large shrimp are done just right. Its a place I visit each time I go to Brownsville. Dont miss it.

Ive been eating here since its inception. Its a wonderful get away with delicious food from a simple sandwich to steak and shrimp the food is absolutely delicious. This is my go to place in Brownsville. A must visit if you are from out of town. The deck outside is super clean with a great resaca view. And live music as well. Five stars all the way
