Exceptionally nice people working there and guiding you around. However, beware of seat number 301 in the Balcony Center, Zone 3B, Tier 1 Row A. We had a gentlemen who is 64 who couldnt even see the stage, and it is tucked so far in the corner as to be buried! It goes beyond obstructed view, it is more like the timeout corner! I switched with him and decided to go sit at an empty seat that was fortunately available.

The music & entertainment was excellent. The venue had some real safety concerns. The railing where I sat was easily movable and could cause a fall and injury. Infact, an older did fall due to a faulty chair. That gentleman had a cane. I understand we live in America, but do you really have to price gouge drinks and seats. And pack people in like sardines. UNBELIEVABLE!!

Last nights performance of Dail M for Murder at the Dee and Charles Wyle Theatre was wonderful. It was my first time seeing a performance at this small intimate theater. There is not a bad seat in the house, and the sound was perfect. The theater has these seats on each side that are raised and plenty of leg room. There are only 2 rows of this type of seating on each side. I would recommend this section of seating for plays. We did purchase the Lexus Silver parking pass, which has an underground tunnel leading directly to the Wyle theater. The tunnel is on the right side of the parking entrance. There is handicapped parking with plenty of parking spaces right in front of tunnel access to theater. Anyone caring a purse it will be searched. Just a little protip, buy a small clear purse so it is see-through it makes things easier for the staff. The lobby has plenty of tables and chairs. You will find WILL CALL inside next to the concessions and bar. The elevators are on the left side and will take you into the theater. There are also steps on the right side of the lobby, which are many steps to climb. There are restrooms in the lobby, the men to the left next to Will Call and Womens on the right next to concessions. The restrooms were very nice and clean. Tickets were easy to purchase online at their website. If you really enjoy the theater, there are subscription offers available for the season of theater. After seeing the performance and enjoying the theater, we are considering the subscription. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in every way. The theater plays that are coming in the 2024-2025 are very exciting. Check out the new schedule of shows coming. This theater is easily accessible off of I-75. I highly recommend going to see live theater and supporting the arts. Please make sure to put that cell phone on mute, no pictures during live performances. Put that phone away and lose your mind to a different world of live creative theater. Go see the play lifes too short.

The shows are incredible and they provide fascinating educational tours for students. Unfortunately, at a recent show the quality of the performance was overshadowed by the several loud noises outside the theater. These included a loud concert outside, a loud rolling cart that sounded like it was right behind the set on Stage Right, and numerous loud bangs from other areas in the building. Its unfortunate that the actors superb performance had to compete with so many distractions. (Ive removed 1 star from my previous 5 star review based on this recent experience). Weve been to numerous shows here, but these distractions were only present this most recent time.

The Wyly theater is a relatively new theater to Dallas so it amazes me how inaccessible the theater is. I took my disabled mother to see a show at the Wyly this past weekend. The parking garage has no way for disabled people to activate the doors to get to the theater. Alternately, the downward slope from the street is so steep that people with mobility impairments could never access the theater that way. Inside, the doors to the bathrooms are heavy and hard for people to open while managing a cane, walker or wheelchair. The elevators to the theaters are wide but stairs inside the theater have no handrails in the orchestra section. Without assistance, it would be very difficult for someone with a mobility impairments to access the theater without assistance. Dallas is too big a city and the theater is too new to not have these things thought out or corrected once raised.

It is a nice place for smaller performances but very upset we paid more for orchestra seating to get pushed to the back and get a partially obstructed view (see pic). I wouldve rather been in a cheaper balcony seat to not have to deal with obstructed views. As a tall person I enjoyed having plenty of leg/knee room between our seats. My wife, however, is vertically challenged and the landing our seats were on was too shallow for her feet to fit but the floor was too far for her shorter legs to reach making her uncomfortable the entire time. Also, the lights on the backs of the chairs infront of us didnt turnoff or even dim during the performance ruining it even more! Overall. I dont consider the seats we had to be orchestra seating, had we been where we expected & paid for I think wed have enjoyed it a lot more. If you end up in these seats they should only charge you $5!

Before the show, as people were being seated, one of the ushers dropped a pen near me, so I happened to pick it up and hand it to her. She then scolded me: No pictures AT ALL in a mean, condescending tone. Me, stunned. A few minutes before, I had taken some selfies with a friend, as had several people around me, but she approached only me to speak this way. I felt singled out. Minutes later the director came out to encourage photos before the show, so the user was just asserting herself and not policy. This docents behavior to me really soured my experience, especially having brought along some friends and paid for their tickets as well. I think this was just a one-off, or maybe it was a rough day for her, or maybe I just dont look like the usual theater-goer. Nevertheless, I was hoping for an apology as I passed her leaving the theater. I will continue to attend and support the shows of Dallas Theater Center - they are wonderful and I think the ushers are a separate crew. The other ushers have been polite and helpful. But it only takes one to ruin my evening.

They seat people who come in late while the show is going on, so you and a row of people have to get up out of their seats blocking the view of the people behind you as well while they squeeze into their place. The stairs seem to be non standard sizes and can be tricky and one woman fell. The fire panel was not working according to a posted sign there was a fire watch agent patrolling instead. Otherwise the actual play was professionally done.

The theatre is small and intimate. Every seat would be a good view. The cast, acting, singing, choreography, lighting, and set design were incredible quality! Professional! Like broadway! I was blown away. This was the best rendition of A Christmas Carol I ve ever seen. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and dressed in festive attire! I had a great time! Pro-tip: get the digital tickets, you can screenshot them off the app or from an email and print them if you re worried about not having wifi. There was a long line at will-call, so this will save you time. Also park in the Silver Lexus parking! Save time and hassle! (and ignore ALL of the reviews that say the seats are bad. They were totally normal seats and I sat criss-cross-applesauce in the seat easily without bothering the seat next to me. ) I sat in Mezzanine Center, Row: A Seat: 207

Went to see DTCs Into The Woods here (was my first show in this theater) and was blown away! The show itself was incredible - I was shocked with how talented the cast was and how they were able to completely take me into their story even while playing with the simple set. *Spoiler* they do run into the audience and around the theater, making the experience even more interactive and fun! Aside from the great show, the theater was very cool. Building itself feels like a living art piece, was very clean and organized inside with a lot of bathroom stalls! There are stairs or elevators for those who need it. The stage itself is surrounded by the audience on three sides, so I would recommend any orchestra center seating for the best views - but no seat is a bad seat. The staff at the theater were so nice and friendly and I would absolutely come again.

We saw an extraordinary production of Screwtape Letters. It was true to the origional writing and was delivered as a monologue along with a delightfully costumed little imp. The stage and set were superb, with wonderful lighting and sound. Of course such an excellent production could be, only, as good as the theaters optimum conditions would allow. This theater is fantastic. It is a work of art in itself. The design is a fabulous modern industrial charm that immediately sends vibes of great things to come. The magnetic stairwell walls with chain mesh wallpaper could be a magnificent piece in an art museum. I literally could have spent an hour just with the walls! The interior of the actual theater is strip back, not showy or extravagant but leaves all the show to the stage show! I loved my wow experience in this great theater.

Would have loved to see my first play in Dallas today, except with LESS THAN 2 HOURS until curtain, the April 16 Into the Woods was cancelled..by email. Show was at 7:30pm, e-mail sent at 5:46pm.. see pic. What upsets me most is that it was the pay what you can night. It made me feel like those that can benefit from a cheaper day to see a good play don t matter as much as those that have a lot of money to spend. Some of us can pay $25-$100 per ticket, and some of us can t, and I don t think it s right that this one performance was the one cancelled. Not only that, but when I got on Instagram to see if anything was mentioned about cancellation around 30 minutes before the play nothing. But at 7:30, when the play was supposed to be going on, the social media team were posting stories on Instagram about how great the performance was earlier in the day, without a single concern for those that they just cancelled literally last minute. What a slap in the face. I ll stick with the usual, caring smaller theaters or the reliable larger ones in the area from now on. EDIT: To add insult to injury I got an email thanking me for attending the show (that was cancelled) and asking for my opinion in a survey. Insane.

My problem was that they could angle the seats, but they were not. They could also give a little space. There was plenty of room on my end, a good 5+. My biggest complaint was the fact that I bought seats at the end of the row. The theater added an extra seat on the end next to my seat. Its a small matter for most, Im sure, but for personal reasons, I need an end seat. I did not appreciate the change, especially with no notice.

Only thing to keep in mind is that the seats here on not friendly for those with a little more love on their hips. Its basically the width of an airplane seat, so just be okay with being close to the person next to you. Other than that- I LOVED the show and also how intimate and small the theater was.

My grandson was in the Christmas Carol, which was fantastic. The tech and the acting were spot on. Loved it. First time at the Wyly Theatre. First off, if you are a big and tall, the seats are horrible. I m over 6 3 and leg room is at a premium. You will have to get up every time someone must go in and out. Safety concern with unlighted pathways especially in seating. I d go again but will choose my seat more carefully.

We took in a Saturday matinee of Clue. I had never been to this theater, but we were so happy. The actors are.so.professional, and the stage build is second to none using every crevice to fit in a trap door, a secret passageway, a pack of dogs, and an ensemble of actors ready to draw you into their world of crime and intrigue. Parking was convenient and the theater is cozy and personal while delivering a large production. When we came home we immediately asked ourselves what would it take to get season seats.

Went to see a play here for the first time. Beautiful venue, asthetically. Staff was friendly. Cons: 1. Confiscated my elderly mothers water bottle. She needs it due to a medical condition. She will hack and cough otherwise, which would obviously be disruptive to other patrons. She didnt mention this to the staff and allowed them to keep the water. By the time I was aware, it was already in the trash. 2. Have to pay to park nearby ($5) because it was the weekend, but some parking options were up to $15. 3. Venue generally doesnt seem handicapped or elderly friendly. The front entrance is down a long sloping ramp. Likely a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. The seats themselves require climbing 2 flights of stairs & then more stairs (maybe up, maybe down) depending on the seats purchased. There is apparently an elevator but I never did see where it was, but I didnt seek out an usher for assistance either. After you arrive at the top of the platform, there are small steps going down to the floor seats, but there is no handrail attached to the wall and the steps themselves could use more clear marking. They currently have what looks like white tape or plastic to alert you to the step. My mother didnt see it and I had to point it out. Bottom line, awesome place if you dont have mobility/health issues. If you do, Id call ahead with questions or seek out an usher for assistance upon arrival and stay close to loved ones with these issues. I would return, but would not take my mother back. If you live in DFW, Bass Hall or Theater Arlington are much more accommodating for anyone with mobility issues.

We saw A Christmas Carol at this theater in late December 2017. It was wonderful. I enjoyed the acting, the sets and the music. We had upfront seats that had the best views. Even the seats further up looked like they had good views. I came here again in April 2022 and enjoyed seeing The Sound of Music.

Staff not too kind and helpful, my neighbors and all all complained about the padding in the seats, not comfortable to sit in more than 30 minutes, no staff nearest elevator for crowd control, during performance, we could hear into the other theater. Concession staff kind.

I always hesitate to leave bad reviews because I don t intend to do harm, but I feel obligated to call out businesses when I see fit First of all the theater looks like a high school auditorium. It s small, grungy, and just not aesthetically pleasing at all. Uncomfortable AND hideous green seats? Yup. Bad lighting? Yes. Secondly, I m all for safety in this crazy Covid world, but hearing the employees quietly yell/ loudly whisper multiple times during the performance for individuals to pull their masks up over their noses got annoying quick. Concession prices are astronomical but since that s pretty normal these days, it s not worth commenting on further than that. I would skip this theater at all costs unless there s something you REALLY want to see, I guess. Moody, Winspear, pretty much all the others are 5 stars compared to this place. With all that said, Texas Ballet Theater did a phenomenal job! They re the only reason I gave 2 stars but I would overall rate their performance a SOLID 9/10.

This isn t a theatre, this is a high school auditorium. The seats are actual fold out chairs with slight padding on the bottom only, set on top of noisy and unstable risers. My seat was so uncomfortable I had to leave during intermission. I think I had more elbow room on an airplane than these seats. I couldn t sit fully back in my seat without touching the man s shoulder next to me. Sadly, I saw a Texas Ballet show here. I say sadly because I ve seen several of their performances at other theaters that were wonderful experiences. There is no space for an orchestra, even though they offer orchestra seating so the ballet was done to a recording over a sound system that I truly believe the stereo in my car could have done a better job projecting. The ushers sat people who came late in the middle of the first part of the performance and it was very disruptive as they used flashlights and spoke very loudly, even though their policy stated no late seating. Lastly, the house lights are stage lights so dress very lightly because you will roast before the performance from the combination of the lights and body heat from sitting so closely to everyone. And it will not cool down any after the lights go down. Everyone was fanning themselves with their programs. The fact that there are only good reviews for this theatre is baffling as everyone sitting around me complained about the seating and lack of orchestra.

I attended a Stage show at Wyly Theatre and we had the BEST staff who assisted us with 30 attendees all together. We had a great time. Thank you to each of the staff who were extremely patient with our group of children both during checking Vaccine cards and finding our seats. We appreciate each of you. All the cast of A CHRISTMAS CAROL was AMAZING! We all enjoyed the entire show! Thank you so much to all of you. Although, parking was not easy. Maybe parking with no garage entrance for vans? Our two (15 passengers) vans had clearance, but right as we entered the RED PARKING, there was a board right above the gate. That didnt sound too good for us.
