I am visiting from New England and was able to eat at Hacienda which was not a disappointment! The wait staff was very attentive and provided excellent service. I ordered choriqueso and fajita de res, OMG it was the most tender and flavorful meat! A definite must try, just leave some for me

I won a gift certificate to eat here about 5 years ago and I used it on a night they had live music it was a Trio and they were just amazing. It became one of my favorite places immediately. I moved to Denver Colorado and I heard that the wonderful talented Mark Alvarez has joined the family. I can t wait to come home for Sunday Brunch and the Mark show. One of the best places in McAllen!!!

Food not pleasant. The rice has a lot of salt and the cheese enchiladas have a salty cheese as if it were cheddar. The chicken broth with shredded chicken has nothing to do with it. And the incredible prices for the food. Im not coming back. I wouldnt even eat here for free.

Had dinner on a Saturday, it was busy as they had karaoke and it was mothers day weekend. Ordered tacos al carbon. The beef was just ok, it was not a wow meal. Service was good despite it was busy.

I ordered fish ceviche, and since they were serving the food, they told me that they didnt have fish, they changed it for shrimp ceviche, ok, but a ceviche without lemon? Thats bad and then they bring it to me on a chipped plate, where bacteria accumulates. Honestly, I didnt like it

I really do not understand how this place has over 4 star reviews, and how it s still in business. To start I had to call multiple times so they answer the call. Second it s extremely loud to the paid that I can t even hear myself talk. Customer service is mediocre at its best. Now to get to the food. I paid $88 for a Botana for 4 people. Words do not describe the disappointment that came to me when I got home and saw the garbage I just purchased. The owners should be ashamed of themselves for the quality of food they serve and still charge premium. Basically what you get for a botana of 4 is a bed of tortilla chips because they are too lazy to make the chips the correct size. Chopped up fajita, not even a pound. They chicken was lame and chopped up/ almost shredded. Soggy quesadillas and flavorless flautas that tasted old. The presentation was a disappointment . Rice beans are served like if they give you to much they ll loose to much money and it tasted like it needed more flavor. Salsa were not fresh they tasted old and just did not taste right. Over all this restaurant does not care about its customers, they care about making the most profit they can. If I could get my money back I would . I wish I would of taken pics. If ur the owner and read this I hope you wake up and smell the coffee and learn how to make real Mexican botanas. Save yourself your hard worked money and go somewhere else, or just make it at home.

Very disappointed. Our server was not attentive but his attitude changed once the owner walked in. Do not order the parrilla familier. The plate is $99 but not worth it, menu says it comes with fajitas, but it in came with two very small thin strips. Ridiculous. Save your money and go somewhere else. We don t ever plan to eat there again, so sad because we had frequented in the past due to the live music.

Order the American and Swizza enchiladas and they were terrible. Order a shrimp cocktail and only 5 shrimps and the cup was filled with onion, tomato, celantro and then in the side it had 2 very small cups of the cocktail sauce but still not enough to cover. Will never go there again. Will not recommend this Restruarant.

Excellent food. The reason I gave my experience 4 stars is because I was up charged for a few items without being informed. We went for the buffet but it was only on weekends. I tried to look online but I couldn t find a menu. When I got my meal, I asked for pico de gallo thinking the chilaquiles were going to need something extra as it was a lot of cheese, but it ended up being great on its own. I ended up not even eating the pico but was charged an extra $3. Also, my boyfriend got lemonade but thought it was too sour so switched to sweet tea and he was charged for both drinks. I thought we were going to spend around $30 but ended up spending around $40 for breakfast for 2. Again, the food was excellent and the service was fast. I would just like more communication on extra charges next time.

One waitress doing everything here. She s making drinks in the bar and cook keeps ringing bell for orders coming out. Not bad service just to much work for one person. Seven tables plus people sitting in bar. Owners should be ashamed of themselves for not helping the poor waitress. Visit this place if you have time to kill cause it s a long wait to get your plate. Twenty five minutes and still waiting.

Place was a bit too loud for my liking but it was 5 de mayo so cant complain much about that. Staff was attentive for the capacity of people. Food was good however my brother was served a rancid ribeye. Owner quickly helped with that. Overall good experience. I would come back again.

The food is excellently good, the waiter (Sergio) gave us excellent service, the live music was excellent at a very appropriate volume for conversation with mainly romantic music and even cumbias for dancing, very reasonable prices for food and drinks. Service 1 being the lowest ,food was not good. Karaoke is not about the customers it about the dj showing off. Did not feel like a welcoming place. I would never go back. Horrible experience with the food and server. Server, while picking up plates and drinks, had spilled the tea that she wasnt finished with, on my wife and did not even apologize. Just said someone had put it there. The food being over priced for a jumbo avocado cut in half and some tamato with chopped onion and no sides for 16 bucks? Not worth it. Only good experience was the lemonade.

My family and I had gone to go in to celebrate my sisters birthday and the dine in was nice, good view of the bar and great timing for reservation. Unfortunately, that was the only good experience. They had a lot of dishes that werent available for kids/adults. The only waiter had no manners, the food was horrible, It was expensive for what it was. was still charged a Gratitude tip for an individual charge for 2 people. What a way to ruin a event.

We ordered 2 breakfast plates and the potatoes that came with each plate were still hard and needed to be cooked more. Chips and salsa were given half way into our meal and our drink orders were wrong. There was a dead roach next to our table the whole time and we didn t even notice until we got up to leave. Gross place. If i could give zero stars I would.

The breakfast here was very delicious the huevos rancheros were great, for $6.99 you get 2 eggs, potatoes, refried beans, bacon and thick sliced ham. The eggs were almost cooked over medium(slightly undercooked),the salsa for the eggs was delicious very flavorful, the refried beans are good,the potatoes were kinda bland but made to order,the ham was good and the bacon was good very crispy. The flour tortillas were not very good they were kinda thick/hard and the taste wasnt that good. The coffee was hot and strong which i like, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall I would recommend this place for their affordable and delicious breakfast options, and the restaurant looks really nice inside.

There has been a change. I really liked the food but for the second time the temperature of the dish was not good. My friend ordered a Milanese and ate it because she was hungry. Cold and tasteless. They added about $3.00 to each dish. The waitress told us that they no longer have lunch specials. Better a drop that lasts than a gush that runs out.

Traveled to the Valley for an event and was optimistic to try this place out as it had been highly recommended. It wasnt busy and it was a nice quiet environment, comfy chairs. Chips, cheese and salsa came quick but the food took a long time to come out. The enchiladas mineras and rice had good flavor but were COLD, not even a little warm. Ordered two drinks from the bar, Paloma was good but they forgot to add liquor in the margarita. Waitress was friendly and attentive.

This location used to be another Mexican restaurant and I was not a fan of the previous place. But hacienda San miguel is way better. Everything they do is just the best. High quality at every step. Their chips and salsa , bistek Ranchero so soft and tender, chorizo and egg that has a good proportion of both. Not like those cheap places where its 90%egg and no chorizo. I cant say enough good about them. They have become my favorite Mexican restaurant in the entire valley. My only wish is that they add carne guisada to the menu.

Ordered pickup through doordash... First they tell me no curbside to get off..(already a bad start but okay I got off)... then they charged me two extra corns as I ordered but then at the restaurant they only give me 1 extra and the lady told me to fight it with doordash even though her system showed 2 corns... (Okay thankfully doordash fixed that since the women there clearly cannot read their numbers).... Then I get home to eat and the fajita is very raw inside .. Like seriously?... I gave them plenty of time to cook this food.. and they couldn t even do that correctly.. the costillas too a bit raw.. It was such a horrible experience... Last time I come here for food for sure .. Only left one star because I was forced to give a star..

The food was nothing spectacular. We ordered a parrillada for four and didnt really feel like it was worth it ($120). My niece ordered enchiladas and she didnt even finish half of them. We dined inside and the flies were a bit of a problem. The plates brought out at the end of our meal for the birthday cake were still a bit wet and had that chlorine smell on them. I simply wiped them down and made the best of the situation. The lemonade was probably the best thing out of everything. Its a nice atmosphere and the service was great, but in my opinion its just not a fantastic place to dine. Maybe nice for a few drinks outside and some music, but even that, the mosquitoes were like kamikazes on sundown when we went out for photos. I hope the very best for this place, but I will simply not be visiting it again.

Horrible service! We were trying to celebrate Mother s Day with but instead left without eating..... We ordered about 10 minutes after being seated and left 2 hrs after. The food that we were served was cold and we had to ask for the forks, napkins and plates which took another 15 minutes to receive. We also had to cancel part of our order because it was never brought out. I had to ask (what I think the owner or management )for the receipt because everyone kept walking by us as if we didn t exist. I Do not recommend this place at all! (Unless you like to be treated bad and like cold food)

Watched someone walked through the front door then immediately came to take our order. Soda machine was dispensing terrible carbonated drinks had to order multiple times. Had to call our waitress multiple times to request this or that because she wasnt tending to our table on her own. Food was ok. Mole tasted different.

I went today 03 07 2020 at around 2pm.. Service so sucked...theres only 2 waiteresses and one of them was at the bar chilling and drinking i guess she was in her break..wow almost all the time i was there...i asked to keep filling my glass becuase like i mentioned the waiteress that was attending us was too busy god knows what we were the only ones in the restaurant...WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN...

The waiter was very kind and polite, I asked for something natural and with low sugar and she accommodated by making my fresh lemonade with low sugar. It was delicious!!!

Shrimp cocktail was delicious a must have. Great Trio music and karaoke afterwards lots of fun. Staff was kind and attentive. A must visit place.

First time here, Trio music was amazing as well as the karaoke. Great food, cold drinks, outstanding service what more could you want. Definitely going back, highly recommend.

Great quality, and service. Recommended 100%. Please dont change! Its the first time I actually had a good buffet abbee at a great price! Keep it up guys! My top choice from now on! And the waiter Paco and waitress Kathia are great! 10 UPDATE: Unfortunately service and quality went down in a matter of months, (a month actually) its a shame, one of the very few restaurants that are now placed in the black list. Waitress was just not attentive to the customer needs, plus they let people drink until they cant even walk. Looks bad on the restaurants end. :/
