Its always good. They have a gluten free menu as well. Im gluten intolerant and I havent felt bad eating here. I usually get the fajitas. Make sure to tell them with the gf marinade. The margaritas are delicious too. If you get anything other than your meal and water to drink, expect a pretty hefty check. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu is available. Kid-friendliness: Its too expensive to bring kids but I saw children there.

La Hacienda Ranch has been my families favorite Tex-mex for years. Primarily because of their salsa. The smoked one that s served warm(it s better cold imo but you can usually buy it and take it home and eat it the next day) my sister included this salsa at her wedding reception because we all love it so much.

BEWARE !!ME and my family was very disappointed, we thought we were going to eat authentic Mexican food , and the menu stated Tex mex , it was terrible. The customer service was terrible, waited almost 20 minutes after being seated , had to get a manager and ask whos our waiter was ridiculous! We ordered an appetizer, the queso with ground meat, the queso was like watered down bland cheese ,ground meat bland not seasoned. We ordered enchiladas and the big burrito, the burrito was so hard could barely cut it with a knife and enchiladas bland , who puts thick ,long pieces of jalapeños on top of enchiladas, almost choked . I called the manager and advised Burrito hard to tell him the flour tortilla shouldnt be this hard. He had the nerve to say thats how they make it,really ? I will never eat here again,I felt like we got robbed one word , RUN !

The unlimited chips and salsa were a great start. The individual queso was enough for 2 and comes with some thicker chips, make sure to stir as there are peppers mixed in. The brisket tacos were tasty and flavorful. The steak fajitas were tender and well seasoned, even the one person portion was enough for 2 (only 3 tortillas though). The strawberry margarita was stronger than expected.

Delicious food!! This was my first time at this restaurant. It did not disappoint. I grew up in the restaurant business so of course I m noticing everything, cleanliness, decor etc. My friend and I decided to have our lunch/dinner meeting here and the minute I saw Patricia our fantastic waitress preparing the table side guacamole I knew we were in for a yummy satisfying treat and I was right !!! The front end service was very good, we had to wait 15 minutes which was fine. We were seated by a gracious hostess to our roomy booth. The booth was not tight and small a good amount of room so comfortable I was ! My friend ordered the Margarita Mariano looked so delicious and it looked like the photos on-line. I always appreciate when the online photos mimic the exact drink or foods you receive so kudos there ! I got the Mango Margaritas with a mango garnish..fresh and soothing. Patricia made sure to explain some of the various dishes etc, I listened and started with beef nachos, we ordered the table side guacamole and I added the cup of Mariano queso our appetizers came I noticed how they presented it with care and not thrown or slopped on with things floating off the plate edge, it was perfection and even better, tasted fresh and with Tex mex flavor I know and love. I knew our entrees would not disappoint. We both ended up getting beef enchiladas, I choose the Chile topping my friend choose the white cream topping, oh my !! The food arrived after we ate our appetizers. Patricia thank you for not shoving all the food together we had time to eat the appetizer while waiting for the entrees. Patricia clearly is a seasoned waitress with great service skills. The food was delicious , hot, flavorful and just yummy !!!! I decided to take half home because I could not pass up the hot apple pie extravaganza dessert. It comes on a heated platform, Patricia drizzled something over the apple pie so it warms the homemade apple pie but the sizzling theatrics is pretty awesome, then they top it with not just any old vanilla ice cream I could tell it was the real deal, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream ..so it s fair to say I ate way more than I should have but I will say that the full tummy was well worth it. I enjoyed Mariano s . I most definitely will be back to try the famous fajitas and drinks of course. Patricia thank you for your pleasant service and care .it was enjoyable and it gives me great pleasure to write this review. As I said I come from the restaurant industry my father owned a busy family restaurant while I growing up so I appreciate my experience at Mariano s. Fantastic !!! After living in Dallas for 36 years (Jan 1988 - Mar 2024) in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas, Ive eaten at Marianos on Skillman Street for many years. I moved to Ruston, La. on 03/10/24. I am in Dallas for three nights, before returning to Ruston tomorrow (07/26). My waitress on the evening of Thursday (07/25) was Hannah. Wow! I was very impressed with her customer service. She kept my water coming, primarily due to the spiciest version of salsa that Ive had at this restaurant. She stopped by often to check on whether I needed anything else. She is very vivacious, and she had a smile at all times. I will definitely be requesting her as my waitress on my next visit to Dallas. Hannah is numero uno on my list!

If you like TexMex please give this place a try. The flavors were great and there wasn t a long wait. We enjoyed everything and the wait staff was top notch. If you have a sweet tooth be sure to grab an empanada on your way out. The Carmel is my personal fav but Inlike them all. Parking: The restaurant shares a lot with a few other businesses so you may not be able to park close but the meal is worth walking a few extra feet.

This is my go to TexMex restaurant in Dallas with the absolute best margaritas. On the rocks or old school frozen, I haven t found better ones in the DFW, and the Mariano is the flagship. It gets busy on the weekends and there is usually a wait, which is only an opportunity to start with a margarita before dinner. Parking could be better, but I ve never had a terrible difficult time finding a spot. The chips and two types of salsa are fresh and delicious. The food is incredible. Nothing fancy, just good well prepared food. It s 20 mins from my house and if I m picking TexMex food I m going here.

Ive been here twice: once in late 2017 and once again just over three months ago, and I loved it on both of my visits. The portion sizes were generous (so much that I had to finish the rest at home), but the food was fantastic! The chips, salsa, and queso were quite delicious, as was each item that came with the Pancho Villa, whether it was the tacos, tostada, rice, beans, or the enchilada. The service was wonderful, too, as staff regularly checked in with our tables party and routinely refilled our drinks. Id gladly return to this location!

Drinks leave much to be desired. They tasted as if the bartender was training. The burrito plate had more rice in the burrito than anything else, so I ended up with a plate of rice for $17. We liked the chips, salsa, and queso. Oh, it was poring rain outside. Unfortunately, it was also pouring rain into the walls where we were seated for a birthday celebration. The floor was flooded. They were quick with a mop and towels, took them about 30 mins to get it cleaned up though and some of our party got splashed by the water. They offered a dessert for the birthday girl. They said they usually do nothing for birthdays, so thank you for that. They got us seated quickly for a party of 9. Our server was great. Overall, we wouldnt return..

Marianoss Hacienda Ranch on Skillman is my favorite TexMex / Mexican food restaurant. They also make amazing drinks, including their signature The Mariano margarita. Service can be a bit hit and miss at times, probably because the restaurant is almost always full with a line waiting for a table. But the overall experience is top-notch. This is my personal favorite Mexican restaurant on the east side of Dallas. I highly recommend Marianos Hacienda Ranch restaurant.

This seems to be the place to be as it was packed and I waited 20+ minutes for a table before 5pm on a Saturday afternoon ! The chips and salsa were amazing. They have nice thin, non-greasy chips and the salsas were so flavourful...I ordered a cup of their queso too, and it also did not disappoint. For my main I had the Poblano al Carbon. My favourite part was the cheese enchilada covered with the spicy sundance sauce. The poblano was nicely flame broiled but the filling was mostly spilled out and luke warm when it arrived to me. Still it was really good. Also served with rice, pinto beans and guacamole. A truly fabulous meal. I also had a Paloma cocktail and the Mariano Margarita, both of which were fantastic. Service was stellar and very attentive considering how busy and bustling it was. You should definitely check this place out.

I am sad while I post this review. My wife and I usually eat here once a month and the food just melts in your mouth, and no leftovers. Today, I brought my mother and father in law and I was so very let down. Even my wife after 1 bite said, what happened to the taste. We ranted and raved how great the fajitas for 2 were and I felt like I just let them down. My wife and absolutely love this place, but today if someone asked me how it was, I would say don t waste your money. I am really hoping that this was a fluke, but both steak and chicken were super tough and chewy. My wife even said the onions and peppers taste like soap. We will be back another time and hope that it tastes like it used too.

Nice staff and good food! I visited to try TexMex cuisine. It was a Friday night, so there were many people dining in and getting takeout. Due to the long wait around 40 minutes, I decided to order takeout. The staff working at the takeout station were very friendly and helpful! When I ate the food I ordered, I found some dust around the top of the pepper, but it wasnt a big deal. Overall, it was a little bit salty, but the taste was good. I will visit again! Parking: They have their own parking lot, but you may need to drive around to find a parking spot during busy times.

Sat on the patio during happy hour but were charged regular price for our margaritas. One was a frozen mango which on the menu says $15 but on the bill was $21. (Only discovered after getting home and looking on the website). When we asked the waiter if that was correct he said yes, check the menu, thats what it says. I dont make the prices. Wish I would have kept my receipt to followup with mgmt but I just accepted his answer. . READ THIS REVIEW GO-GO-GO!!!!! This is the place that INVENTED the margarita machine and the first frozen margarita!!! The food is true Tex-Mex at its best. I arrived at 6:30pm on a Thursday night and the parking lot is packed with a 45min waiting list. I got the last seat at the bar. (Whew!) Fast service from the bar and kitchen (8-10 min for food!). Impressive while totally packed. Very nice and attentive staff. Patrons are multi-generational and there was a great happy buzz in the air. Why advertise? They are packed every night and now I know why! Strawberry Margarita: Delicious. Perfect thickness and texture, normal strength (you can taste the tequila), and it doesn t melt too fast. I recommend these over a swirl. Red Salsa: Delicious, not sweet or bitter. Just perfect! Nice tight small chop on everything (not puréed), great flavor and balance of every ingredient you expect. (There is also a darker version I did not try.) Tortillas: Super fresh, handmade, and only minutes off the grill when you get them. Awesome! (They last perfect in a ziplock.) Beef Enchiladas: Perfect! Savory dark meat sauce, elegant and obviously old school cooking from home. It s not thick and creamy like some lesser quality places serve - this is like a hearty Texas mini-chili consistency that s exactly what I would expect, and not greasy! The meat is moist (not greasy), nicely seasoned and portioned. Yummy - get some!! (10 out of 10) Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas: Generous portion of shredded chicken, nice flavor but about 20% on the dry side. The sour cream sauce is very Tex-Mex traditional, soft hints of the sour come through, nice consistency. Overall 6 out of 10. Beef Fajitas: Wow! Really good. Soft, moist, and tender meat, well seasoned and smokey. The handmade tortillas are a perfect compliment. I m getting these again. (Ask for double onions and bell peppers or you will run out.) 10 out of 10. Chicken Fajitas: Wow! Equally good. Thick long pieces and smokey, perfect moistness and flavor. Definitely worth getting. I absolutely love the mixed fajitas, the steak, EVERYTIME I go, it is soooooo TENDER and DELICIOUS!!!! There is one older waitress who is not very personable that I have had a few times that is just ready to get off the shift that kinda makes me sad, but everyone else has always been a pleasure so with that, I still like to come to this place!

The food is quite good, but a bit pricey. Can get as-good food and drinks at better prices at other restaurants. Service is spotty. One time is very good, another time is rough. Highly dependent on the service staff.

Very overrated, and very overpriced, especially considering its supposed to be a neighborhood restaurant. Do they think they are Javiers? Their beef (steak, fajitas, tacos al carbon) is the most overpriced thing on the menu, and it is also by far the worst. Their meat reeks and tastes like liquid smoke. Disgusting. The rest of the food is ok, but not for the prices they charge.

Pretty good place with a super friendly staff. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and knew his stuff. The place is a bit pricey but great quality of food. Overall, Id eat here again sometime in the future. Thanks and we will be back.

Marianos is a great family restaurant! The tacos are delicious but I go mainly for the Marianos Margarita! Totally worth the purchase. Staff is welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere is dim lighted relaxed vibe with nice background music and a nice little area outside to take some photographs. Kid-friendliness: Kids get a kids menu with really great crossword puzzle and a variety of kids options.

I got a Mariano Margarita and the Brisket tacos. My coworkers had strawberry and mango margaritas and we had queso that had ground beef and guacamole in it. That meat was so tasty Im going to order the enchiladas next time. Awesome rustic atmosphere, great drinks, amazing food, definitely a must try.

I think that this location is better than the location on Preston Rd. The chips and salsa are delicious. We ordered the table side guac, and it was so good! I would recommend the flautas, they had an authentic flavor. Dont forget the frozen margarita and the apple pie (which is served on a scalding hot fajita plate, caramelizing the apple pie and ice cream as you eat it).

I was invited to lunch by my cousin. This was my first time trying this restaurant. I had chicken tortilla soup, it was delish and flavorful. They offer complimentary chips and salsa, but they do charge for the tortillas. There was also a $2 upcharge for the beef poblano pepper. I also tried the stuffed poblano pepper. It was too cheesy for my liking. The music and ambiance was festive. They also prepare tortillas on site and are well known for their frozen margaritas. I will definitely be back and recommend it to others.
