This is a hidden gem for book lovers and so micb more!!!! They have a healthy selection of books that are well organized. A comfortable seating area includes a friendly cat, named Luna. The ladies were helpful in finding me a few books to broaden my reading spectrum. Goodbye big box book store, hello enjoyable small business....Im sold!!!!

My favorite thing- they have the sweetest cat (Luna)!!! I always wanted a book store with a cat! Their selection is great and hey have other gift items as well (puzzles, toys, housewares etc). We love to get coffee at third gen then walk next door here. One of my favorite places!!!

Wonderful book store. So clean. The staff is absolutely amazing and so friendly. Their cat is sweet and my kids thought it was neat that they got to give the cat a treat. We spent entirely to much money, but it was worth it! We definitely recommend coming here for all your book needs. There is also a delicious coffee shop right next door which is a huge plus!

Beautiful book store, the childrens area made me think of the shop around the corner from youve got mail. They have a little reading area for kids, with a small table for puzzles, wasnt able to look at the used books section but felt great to enter a book store that seems to be family owned. This place is special, please dont take this the wrong way but it smells like a book and I LOVE THAT SMELL. Lol Will be participating in their activities as my toddler is a book lover!

Great selection, sweet staff, and affordable priced books! Its such a joy to stop by this gem of the woodlands. I love to grab coffee and come in and browse their current selection of books and handmade goodies. This is a family-owned establishment, and they are all so welcoming, kind, friendly, and sweet. They have a great rewards system where you can earn points that transfer into $ towards your next purchase. They are efficient and always so helpful. I am so happy they decided to open up and in such a perfect location. Dont forget to stop by the clearance section on your way out, such good finds in there! Something for everyone.

A beautiful cute little bookshop tucked away and right next to one of my favorite coffee shops. Came here after being disappointed in the lack of independent bookstores downtown in Houston. This place did not disappoint! Loved the variety of used/new books and loved seeing all the little trinkets they sell here too. They have popular used book titles here, which I appreciated. Most of them being in like new or barely used condition. Used paperback prices are comparable to places like half price books, but loved that its a local shop! They also have a section for local authors, which I thought was so cool. Luna the kitty is the star! She is so sweet and let me pet her too! Support your local bookstores! This one met all my expectations and Ill be coming back here in the future! :)

It was very clean, well lit, & organized! I only spoke with the lady who checked me out, when she was ringing us up, and she seemed nice. They have a sweet kitty that is very friendly. The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 stars was the prices were higher than I had expected for a used book store. I should be mindful that all prices are going up! And I only looked at religious books, so it could have just been the genre.

Ive been here twice now and really enjoy my experience every time. Its right next to a coffee shop! They have a collection of both sale books and new books. The new books will be sold for the cover price, so dont expect any type of special discount. But the used books you can find for pretty cheap. I also appreciate the variety of new books they sell. Theres also a cute little book store kitty to say hi to when you walk in. I definitely recommend this place for book shopping!

I love coming to this bookstore! They always have a great range of new and used books, plus they can order in titles for you. We love being able to trade in used books for store credit, my kids often scour their bookshelves (and mine!) to bring books in to help fund new purchases. The events held in store are fun to attend, we ve been to a poetry session, and my teen attended a writing workshop. There are often fun little activities to motivate young readers, like the Summer Bingo.

This is such a gem of a bookstore. The staff is always so welcoming, and always quick with great book recommendations. I have brought in gently used (newer) books and received store credit and it was an easy, genuine process. The owners are always very clear with how it works. In a time where books are extremely popular, and reselling them can be tricky, the store credit value is always fair. Plus, who doesn t love a cat in a local bookshop? Best local bookstore in town!

I call on the phone in advance and was told that they trade used books for store credit. When I got there the lady forced me to make an account with them because she had to decide the value of my books and whether or not they would take them. She also informed me that Any store credit you receive you can only used part of it with every 10 dollar purchase. After waiting she said my two books were worth 2 dollars in store credit. I said no way and she said am I sure. Absolutely !! They are not fair with there pricing whatsoever my books were in brand new quality and that is ridiculous that they would only offer me 2 dollars that I can t even used unless I spend up to 10 dollars !! I recommend spending your money elsewhere and trade your books somewhere else because they are not fair.

The staff here was so friendly! I was greeted when I walked in and I really felt welcomed. The book selection here is pretty varied, I liked that it wasn t only new releases or popular books. I ended up finding a really cool cookbook (pictured). This is just one example of the variety of books at this store. I m glad I stopped by while I was in town!

Very quaint bookshop. A hidden gem. My first time here. Thanks to a friends suggestion. I wandered the shelves finding so many new and used books to take home. We were trying to find something to kill time while waiting for an appointment. Wow, were we shocked by this bookstore with great ambience and provided a most welcoming atmosphere. The employees were very knowledgeable and also very passionate about literature (also DnD, card games and board games). My spouse and I are part of the LGBTQ+ community and seeing their magnificent Pride display section was very welcoming. They can order/preorder any book you want and it usually gets there in a week. From our first visit, we left with nearly 10 books and a board game. They also have a venue in the back of their store with tables and chairs (also art by local artists for sale) for private events such as game nights, scout meetings, DnD and meet the author events (rates are $15/hr and $5 for each additional hour if I remember correctly). They have a calendar with multiple events being hosted each month, as well as some reading programs for all ages. We will never get books from Amazon ever again as Buy The Books prices are very competitive and we love supporting local businesses, especially when they support us.

I love this new independent and local bookstore! Located in the same shopping center as Amerigo s and Third Gen Coffee, this bookstore has a fantastic selection of new books, used books, puzzles, journals and cute gifts for the avid reader! They also have an entire room dedicated to children and a young adults reading section as well as comfy chairs to peruse books. The staff here is extremely friendly and is always willing to help with a book recommendation. However, the BEST part of this bookstore are the events it hosts: from author talks to book clubs that meet monthly to family game and trivia nights, there is something for everyone! I love that this store promotes reading and provides a place for avid readers and families to connect in The Woodlands! Shop local, grab a coffee from Third Gen, and check out Buy the Book- you won t be disappointed!

I look forward to finishing a book just so I can go back to Buy The Book and talk to the girls there. All of them are very knowledgeable about so many books and different genres. They always give amazing suggestions for my next read. The book clubs they offer for all ages are definitely something to look into. Being new to the area, I took advantage of the opportunity and went to the club to meet others who enjoy reading as much as I do.
