Waitress was awesome. But food was not good at all. Paying for chips and Salsa is crazy when the price of the food is already high. We got the mixed fajitas and the chicken was good but the steak was not. Didn t even get guac or sour cream with it so it was a very dry fajita.

I had made reservations for a large group and as we entered, I got a little nervous as we were the only guests there. But our table and staff were all ready and quick to attend and the service, food did not disappoint. I highly recommend any of the dishes with the spicy green sauce it is actually pretty spicy, but in the it hurts so good kind of way. I wish I could bottle it and take it home with me! Definitely recommend the fish tacos, perfectly battered with a great amount of fish served!

Wait person was very nice and professional, but when I mentioned half the appetizers were cold, and to be sure the main dish wasnt cold... the main dish was served cold too. If it wasnt for food temperature, it would have been very tasty. Margaritas were great. Might just be me, but seemed like one-girl-band person was lip singing, and pretending to play instruments... Im a ex musician. Very nice, low key atmosphere.

Coco s Fire & Ice in the Bishop Arts District, Oak Cliff, Dallas, is a hidden gem worth discovering. It s a bit tricky to find since it s inside a market you have to walk all the way to the back or enter through the back door like we did. But once you re inside, you re greeted with a clean environment and the delightful aroma of good food. We visited on a Saturday and were seated immediately, which was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress, Erica, was fantastic, speaking both Spanish and English, which helped us a lot with our Spanish. She was delightful and always available when we needed her. We started our meal with some excellent margaritas and ended with shots of Casa Azule, which totaled $90. While it was a bit pricey, it was a memorable experience. The food was the highlight of our visit. My son s chicken fajita tacos with rice and beans were simply amazing, bursting with flavor. I had the Enchiladas Verdes with shredded chicken, cheese, and a spicy tomato sauce, served with rice and refried beans delicious! My niece had the Rojo Beef Flour Enchiladas with beans and rice, which were also excellent. All our dishes came out hot and on time. The Bishop Arts District is known for its eateries, and Coco s Fire & Ice is a fantastic addition. I can t wait to see what tasty spot we ll discover next!

Mediocre Mexican food at best. I was not that impressed with the quality of food here. The service was super slow . We had 6 people at our table and the waitress would take someones order, walk over to the computer system, plug in their order, come back, take another persons order, go back to the computer and put their order in and then come back. She literally did this for all 6 peoples orders at our table. Super bizarre. My cousin also happened to order the only margarita on the menu that didnt have a price. Waitress never mentioned the cost and when she got the bill, she was charged $32 for one margarita. The drinks were good but definitely not $32 a piece good. Would not recommend, there are like a million better spots in DFW that serve Mexican food, with better, cheaper drinks.

We came here on a Thursday night for my birthday. I had never been here before and was excited to try it. The hostess seated us and besides one other table, we were the only people in the restaurant. We then waited about 8 mins or so for her to come get a drink order from us. After she brought my drink (she never brought my husbands soda) she asked if we were ready. Are you ready is basically the extent of her conversing with us. The waitress was not friendly and acted like we were an imposition to her. We ordered three appetizers and two entrees. They then proceeded to rush us. We received our apps in under 5 minutes and our entrees were out 3 minutes after that. It was ridiculous. There was no reason to pace the apps and our entrees appropriately. They werent busy but they seemed like they wanted us to get out. We sat down at like 7pm so it wasn t late. The waitress never checked in with us, I never got another drink, and she never asked us if we wanted dessert or even the bill. We had to ask the other waitress for the bill. The service was beyond terrible and killed the happy vibe of the place. They had great live music but it was hard to enjoy over the misery of our waitress. Food is really good but things like guacamole, drinks, and chips/salsa (which are not free what the heck) are wildly overpriced.

Went for dinner. Had reservation. A little hard to find because restaurant is in the back of the building behind the stores. We were seated promptly. Service was a bit slow. Servers couldnt really explain the menu. There are no drink options other than Agua Fresca and cocktails. Servers took our menus and never asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered the guacamolemol, corn, fajita chicken tacos and lobster tacos. Guacamole was served on a napkin inside a bowl. Both entrees had to be remade (customization was not made on the chicken tacos and there was shell in the lobster tacos). Lobster was rubbery.

The atmosphere is original, cozy, and vivid. I come here when I want great food and service, and they never fail. This last time we went the host didn t want to put us on a wait list and told us that they couldn t seat us? And then told us it would be a 2 hour wait so we asked to get put on a list. So I gave him my name and number to put us on a list and we never received a call. Really horrible service this last time and it sucks since we love coming here

The front decor is decent but once I went to the bar area, it was like blah. The food was under cooked and SO salty! They expressed their apologies, but the salt tasted like the only seasoning they had. FYI, the kitchen is viewable from seating so there was a loud blender running while I was dining. I d likely never return unless I was a food critic getting paid for my review.

Cocos is severely underrated. They might be in a busy area but they taste like a hole in wall serving delicious food you feel like you discovered. Its partially because their entrance isnt obvious. The restaurant is in the back of a small market. You have to walk past the indoor shops to reach Cocos. Once you do, order everything! The tacos are as good as any Ive had, especially the beef fajitas. The beans with cotija cheese taste like central Mexico. The rice and tortillas are also excellent. Id happily visit again any time! I came for lunch and ordered a drink and a starter. The drink was very beautiful and strong. The food I ordered was two pieces of bread dipped in a red greasy sauce, and inside was chorizo and potatoes. Then it was beautifully decorated with a cream and cheese on top. Nothing else, it was OK I did not finish it. I started getting heartburn spice of the chorizo and also it was so greasy I couldn t eat it I guess I will not be returning and it cost me around $32 just for myself..

I give 3 stars because the enchiladas plate is not enough for an adult. I dont recommend it. The tortillas are small. The service was ok. However, the wearer who served us needs a little bit of training in my opinion. Three stars for this place because the enchiladas are too little for an adult. I dont recommend them for that reason. Our waiter needs some entertainment, in my opinion.

Everything was good. Food tastes really good, service is good, we love the music they play, the volume is perfect. The only detail is the portion of the Enchiladas verdes. They are made with small tortillas. They testes really well, but we expected a bigger portion. Besides that, I would say its an authentic Mexican restaurant. Portions in other dishes are okay and flavorful.

I saw an IG post from a food vlogger and decided to check them out. Upon entering, I almost thought wed gone to the wrong address. When you first walk in, youll see a shared space containing an art store, a soap, oils, and candle store, and a jewelry spot. At the very end is Cocos Fire and Ice. Ill definitely need to return for the soaps and candles. Anywho, we were seated right away. It was not busy at all, and I wondered if it had to do with the front shops. We ordered the ceviche for our appetizer. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. I had the Let That Man Go, which was tasty, and my husband had the Casa Margarita. Our main dishes were the Enchiladas Verdes and the Barbacoa. We enjoy our meals. The refried beans were so good. I dont think Ive ever wanted to mention refried beans, but they were so dang delicious! The enchiladas were small, but you got five on the plate, and it filled you up. My husband loved his tacos, and a clean plate was the result.

This was our first time trying this restaurant and we were pretty excited. First of all it is very hard to find but that is perfectly fine. We ordered two Clase Azul marga and they were not bad, nice and smooth as you d expect. For the app we ordered guacamole which had more tomatoes and lime flavor than avocado. For lunch we had the enchiladas verde and cod with garlic sauce. So disappointing to say both dishes lacked any flavor at all and we spent $150 to leave hungry and confused as to what our money had just gone towards. Not sure if we will be giving this another shot.

Cute place, cool vibe, good chips and salsa. BUT....i had 2 margs there and I pointed to the house marg when the server took my order but apparently called it by another name. She repeated the question ( in her beautiful but thick accent) on if I wanted the classic, and I said yes, as I was pointing to the plain Jane house marg for $11. I had 2 of those margs while there. The bill reflected that they were $32 EACH. I of course questioned it knowing that I would never order a $32 drink ( especially one that was literally in a small highball glass ). That is NOT what I ordered and how was i to know the difference when they brought it to me? Apparently this marg they gave me had some kind of magical tequila in it but nothing that anyone would notice, Ill tell ya that for sure. She told me that she would ask her manager.....according to her, her manager said Nope, you drank them, you pay for them. What a jerk. What a place. That move cost her a tip but gained an ex-customer.

Very disappointing experience as I really wanted to like this place, it has been spoken of in very high regard among several of my friends. First and foremost they charge of chips and salsa, I know a few of places around Dallas do that, most of the ones that do are either much more refined or a fast casual concept like torchys, velvet taco, resident and so on this was a first for this level of good. The entrees themselves are very plain, lack in flavor, quality and size, the service was also, pretty bad, as the server had to be reminded multiple times in regards to items that the party had ordered and where forgotten. Dallas has no shortage of good tex mex and more authentic mexican restaurants, with café Veracruz just a block down, I would rec just to go there.

Nice atmosphere. Not enough food on the plate for the price though. Mexican cuisine is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. That being said dont tease me with a childs plate. JS

If you are looking for a place to feel like you re in Mexico, this is the place. My husband and I enjoyed the food very much, authentic Mexican food. They did take long on bringing our order due to there being 20 people in a group but our waiter was always on top making sure we had water and chips while waiting on our main dish, they did apologize for the inconvenience! Great customer service, great atmosphere & amazing food! We will be back!

Very impressed for our first time here. We had the huitlacoche quesadilla which is a must try. The salsa served on the side is a little spicy but delicious. I don t eat meat so they made me the green enchiladas with vegetables. Very good, I would highly recommend! Good atmosphere and fast service, but actual good Mexican food which is hard to find in dfw. Will definitely be back.

Insanely overpriced. Margarita was $25!!! It was VERY salty after I had asked for no salt. Service is slow and I had to ask 3 times for water. The one redeeming factor, was the chicken mole was very good.

This is a great intimate restaurant located in Bishop Arts with a great tucked off patio in the back! The food was overall pretty good. The fajita steak had good flavor but was tremendously overcooked. The drinks were on point! One of the best margaritas in Bishop Arts!

First time going there and had high hopes after it was recommended to me. I was delighted by the atmosphere. Although you pay for your chips and salsa which was a first for me at a Mexican restaurant.. but was impress how fresh and crunchy chips were and salsas were good too however after that everything went downhill with finding not one but 2 hairs in the fajita mix entree. The waitress was notified which she proceeded to notify her manager we were offered to make a fresh plate however by then we had lost our appetite but we still ended up being charged for the uneaten fajitas. Go figure! As a new customer will not be returning was very disappointed!
