And almost everything we ordered was flavorful. The service was attentive, striking the right balance between friendliness and professionalism. Came here for a friends birthday a few weeks ago and was very disappointed. She had booked a table for dinner and then a karaoke pod, and when we arrived (10min prior to our reservation time) we were told that our table had accidentally been given away and that they would try to find a place to seat us. We then waited for 45min to be seated despite them telling us we would be able to be sat outside right away if we wanted. Once we got to our table, it wasnt even fully clean - there was lipstick on several of the glasses on the table that were supposed to be new. One of the girls in our group even ordered a drink and was brought a glass with lipstick on it. When she asked for it to be remade in a clean glass, it was just dumped into a new glass and brought back. The food was okay - we really enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer. And once we finally got to karaoke, we had fun. But it still didnt make up for the terrible service we received throughout the night. Felt bad for my friend who was stressed about the whole debacle on her own birthday.

I regret to say that my recent experience at this establishment was marred by clear and blatant discrimination. From the moment we arrived, it became apparent that we were being treated differently due to our skin color or by our ethnicity. We were seated at a table in the farthest corner of the restaurant despite having a reservation, near where plates and glasses were stored, despite numerous other, more suitable tables being available. The table we were given was poorly maintained, with uncomfortable seating that had visible holes, and inadequate lighting compared to the rest of the restaurant. When we inquired about being moved to a better table, we were repeatedly told that the other tables were reserved. However, during the entire duration of our visit lasting until we left none of these tables were occupied, which made it evident that the excuse was false and we were being deliberately sidelined. Despite spending over $500 for 3 of us, the service we received was far below acceptable standards. The server consistently ignored us, paid no attention to our requests, and made no effort to provide the level of service one would expect, especially considering the amount we were paying. It was clear that our presence was not valued. Discrimination and racism have no place in any establishment, and this experience has left a lasting negative impression. I would strongly urge management to address this issue, as such behavior not only reflects poorly on the restaurant but also contributes to a hostile and unwelcoming environment.

We visited on a busy Sunday night to celebrate a birthday with my family. The atmosphere and drinks were fantastic, but what really stood out was the service from Duygu. If you ever go to this place, definitely ask for her! She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Epitome of Homophobia and Xenophobia! I was traveling for a work conference, and on a Sunday evening, my friend (who is brown and gay) and I decided to go out. Like many others, we were wearing shorts. However, when we approached the entrance, the bouncer (a short Latino man) stopped us, claiming our shorts didn t meet the dress code, even though we were wearing dress shorts. I pointed out someone else wearing ripped jean shorts and asked why those were acceptable but ours weren t, given that we had just come from a work happy hour. When I pressed him further, he admitted it wasn t really about the shorts. This kind of discriminatory behavior is appalling and especially disappointing for a place that presents itself as so vibrant and welcoming. Save yourselves the trouble and avoid this establishment.

Service is horrible here. Made a reservation, hit some traffic. Tried calling but there s no person to speak too as they have that automated garbage, go book online type of nonsense. It s much easier to call if running few minutes late than to text. So we got there, party of 4, they give away our table then tell us there s a 2 hour wait and that s not guaranteed. Why take my credit card info if you can t find me a seat ? Therefore, you do nothing for me except benefit off my money for cancellation fee- total rip off !!! If you take my credit card upfront to book, I should get first preference for the next available seat as opposed to the next walk in if I m physically there. This place is rude and ridiculous.

Kid-friendliness: We had a couple in our group that had a 2month old and they were more than accommodating. NJ/NYC area I appreciate an aesthetically pleasing restaurant. I was ready to enjoy the evening and push through my feeling dizzy. We requested to sit inside due to me not feeling good. so that I can feel more comfortable in the air conditioning. before I sat down I went to use the restroom with my friend. when we returned I sat down and asked one of the buss ladies walking around if I could please have a cup with water. I was bought the water, I drank some and put it in front of me a little more than half full. I mentioned to everyone I was with that I was feeling dizzy. My friend said well let s not take up a dinner table let s sit at a high top and I said ok. As I am looking at the menu the waitress comes by, asking what we would like to order, we asked if the high top tables were available, we were just going to order some mocktails and appetizers & didn t want to take up a whole dinner table, she said I ll check but before she walked away I said guys it s ok I will get some dinner even if I take most of it home as I went to put my menu down to ask a question about one of the food items, I tipped my water glass over and spilled the WATER!! mostly on my satin pants and on my feet some on the carpet with very little WATER splashed in the waitress toes and her work dress did not get wet. But even so it was WATER. Clearly an accident and although I may not have looked like I wasent feeling good I was very much dizzy and a bit over heated NOT a good combo for someone who s had a heat strokes before so I know the signs of when I might pass out. but I digress to paint the picture my hands were very shaky. waitress gets all upset understandably but I apologizing several times as I am trying to clean the water with my napkin feeling incredibly embarrassed that I tipped over my water. She walks away in a huff and does not return for a good 10 mins. After the 10 mins she walks past our table when I see her again I m apologizing again feeling terrible that she s upset as of course I didn t want to upset her but again ITS WATER!. she walks past the table says nothing walks into the kitchen and where we were sitting you can see inside the kitchen. She was pacing for 5 mins in the kitchen. I was very confused as to why she got so upset at an accident, it was water nothing more but we can all see her through the kitchen window pacing as if she needed to be that upset but idk maybe I m wrong, doubt it!!. She walks back out past our table says nothing. Another 5 mins go by and a new waitress comes by. At this point I was over it, I told everyone I would like to go let the new waitress know, I was sorry that I dropped the water but to be rude about some spilled water is no way to handle the situation, especially for something that was a mistake and I apologized several times, we will not be dinning here. The new waitress also with the same attitude as if she was told something else happened said w.e and walked away. We picked up our stuff walked out. I went to many places while visiting Dallas and the customer service was always very friendly. this place missed the mark so bad. And I will never go back here. As someone who works in the service industry, who has her own business and deals with clients day in and day out. I would NEVER treat my clients like this and I ve had clients break very expensive makeup in MY STUDIO by accident. Word of advice to the server you were absolutely a gorgeous girl but that only gets you so far, kindness, compassion, and patiences gets you farther in a service based industry. And if dealing with the public is not your thing get a new job. Do better. To management you really need to reevaluate what is going on with the training of your staff. This restaurant is absolutely beautiful your staff beautiful but the service is TERRIBLE. I normally don t do reviews because of my work, i understand what is like dealing with people but in this case this is just a bad attitude and a bad working culture. Unhappy staff make for unhappy customers.

I flew to Dallas and came here on my birthday 9/14 and I had a great time, the service was quick, the food was delicious it came out in less than 10 minutes. The bartender were also very nice, they adjusted the drinks to my liking and name a drink after my friend ( sunny D ) make sure to ask for that. Saaya is definitely an experience! The inside is beautiful, and they definitely have the vibes down! You are able to order a hookah for the table as well, which is cool. My only qualm was the price. This is more of a fancy date Night type place but my table got a hookah, one entree, the triple dip and falafel and our tab was over $250! It was good but I have a hard time justifying the amount of food for the price.

Racist and Unprofessional - Don t Waste Your Time Here! Saaya is the epitome of discrimination wrapped in a poor excuse of a lounge. My fiancé, who was wearing leather shorts and a button-up shirt, was denied entry for not being dressy enough. Let me emphasize: leather shorts and a button-up shirt far from casual! It s laughable considering their dress code online is intentionally vague, allowing them to pick and choose who they let in based on whatever prejudice they have that day. Let s be clear this was racially motivated. The man at the front, who couldn t have been more unprofessional, was clearly being racist toward my African American fiancé. Inside, we could see people dressed way more casually than he was. They also claim that before 8 p.m., you can wear whatever you want, but after 8 p.m., the dress code suddenly becomes strict. Fine, if you have rules, enforce them, but at least be consistent and not racist while doing it. We then asked to speak to the manager, who was completely uninterested in having a civilized conversation. He was rude, dismissive, and downright hostile a total disgrace. We ll be reporting this establishment to the Better Business Bureau, but I encourage anyone reading this to steer clear of Saaya unless you want to experience blatant racism, terrible service, and unprofessionalism at its finest. This place doesn t deserve your time, money, or patience.

After seeing all the glowing reviews, I just had to check this place out for myself and somehow it exceeded all my expectations! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was on point, but Duygu was the secret ingredient that made the night unforgettable. She was so professional, diligent, and downright delightful that our group left wondering if we d stumbled into a five-star fairy tale. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Highly recommend!!!

Nice upscale lounge with great ambiance, incredible food, and amazing cocktails. The hummus and fattoush. We ve enjoyed all of the shawarma options. The service is A-100 amazing! Beware of false advertisement! The menu says 7 dollar cocktails during happy hour, but they don t advise that it s only limited to two and any drinks after are full price. I have no clue how a few drinks would total $130 dollars! Definitely contacting my bank for fraud because it was no where stated on the menu. Plus the waitress seemed as she would have liked to be anywhere other than serving my friend and I. We went on a Wednesday evening, hoping it wasn t too crowded. It seemed to be picking up more towards right before we were leaving. Once you enter Saaya, it gives you a bohemian vibe. They have good menu options, and I had two drinks only but both were pretty good. Our waitress Duygu, was amazing, having someone who is attentive and authentically friendly is def a plus for me. BEWARE OF VALET SERVICE RP DALLAS MTV!! On Saturday night 8/17/2024 at Saaya Lounge/Deep Ellum ticket #7549, the valet employees from RP Dallas MTV stole a pair of diamond earrings from my car console. I did leave them there by accident as I was rushing to get out of the car, but that gives no right to steal personal property. I noticed they were gone the morning after as I was rushed to get back in the car that night. There were also additional expensive items in my trunk that I m surprised they didn t take considering the mindset of this staff. Extremely unprofessional and abhorrent, and the reason many people don t trust valet. It was predatory and low class behavior and I m disappointed that you have to worry about having personal items stolen from you when trying to have a nice evening at an upscale lounge such as Saaya. Saaya, I highly recommend to terminate contract with this company who schemes to steal from your distinguished clientele.
