Seems like the added more trail, the new trail we took was much longer & kept shrinking to where there was no trail. We ended up getting out from the street and walking up on side walk. They fenced up the entrance too. Maybe this trail isn t supposed to be walked anymore. Also parked across the street from the golf place. Would not recommend if you take children.

My son and I went hiking there. Its was nice until we encountered a pack of coyotes. I almost had a heart attack! But remained unafraid and kept on walking. Its a nice hike and kinda long.. besides the coyotes, we somehow ended up exiting out into the literal street on Bruton as we followed the most marked path there was.PLEASE BE CAREFUL GOING THERE AND DONT GO there alone.

The trail was clean. You have to park before the golf course entrance. Then, walk towards the wooden kiosk. Its a nice short trail for a quick walk.

Absolutely cute. Not a lot of people on it. Theres a lot of noise from the cars and the train, but were in the city, so what does one expect. You go through a lot of wooded area-- lots of honeysuckle, smells amazing-- and a clearing with prairie wildflowers. There are tons of butterflies and dragonflies around. Its short enough to bring your kiddos, my five year old loved it. Feels like a little oasis. Park at Gateway Park and cross the street, or park at Keeton Park and head over to the big field. Youll see the trailhead marker at the treeline.

Nice shaded hiking trail. Easy to get lost but easy to find your way back out. Wish it was a little bigger. After some time, i felt like i was just going round and round around the same area

Great hidden trail, was a good little hike. Will definitely be a repeat trip. If your having trouble finding it, you park at keeton then walk across the side road and then across the field you will see the wooden post board. That is the start of the trial, happy hiking.

I love this hiking trail due to how close it is to me! Its a hidden gem here in Pleasant Grove. The only reason it I give it 4/5 is because for new people, it can be tricky to find, the entrance needs maintenance, and theres sound pollution (for those who care about being in touch with nature - theres passing car noises and its next to the DART rail.) Otherwise, I love the change in minor elevation/hills that helps you feel like your at Cedar Ridge Preserve. This trail has been expanded with an additional loop this year (2022), so it definitely helps prolong what once was a 30-40 min hike for me. Nevertheless, I enjoy this trail, and so does my German Shephard! As an added bonus, theres also an unofficial trail across the street, next to the tennis court. Whoever paved that trail called it Magic Forest. Its pretty stinkin cute, so give that a try, as well :)

Unexpected treat while waiting for husband to finish hitting some balls. Nice short hike on the trail with my dog. Other than the road noise and the DART train it was a pleasant walk.

Nice easy trek through the forest with decent views of the city. Trail runs fairly close to the road for much of it, so traffic noise is a bit annoying. But overall, I nice easy to spend 1-1.5h

Lots of easy to moderate trails to choose from and some nice scenic spots as well. But if you like to be alone in the woods while hiking, this might not be the place for you!

Cute, short, easy trail that can be a little hard to find. Could easily bring a dog or your kids without much trouble*. The trail is on the far left side of the sign that says Keeton Park. You can park on the side with all the soccer goals (across Gateway park) Its a shame the golf course ruins what could have otherwise been a really great hiking area *It starts with a steep incline but its not as bad as the rest of the trail

It was so much fun! A nice little trail, lots of inclines, very little trash. Set back away from the road, it would have been really hard to find, if not for the photos and reviews on here. I highly recommend it! My family and I had a blast!

My daughter and I had a great time on this trail! I cant attest to how long it is because you dont get far with a toddler, but it is so wooded and shady that it was bearable even in 90 degree heat. I did not find it to be overgrown like some have said. The trailhead is across a field to your left when you turn into the golf course. We parked by the golf course and passed a little creek on the way to the trail, where we saw geese, a diving duck, and even a white crane or egret on the way back. Loved it!

We did not enjoy this. Too short. Too overgrown. Too creepy. We took our 4 and 6 year old kids and even they were disappointed. Further, it s nearly impossible to find the trailhead unless you ask someone. There are no markings along the trail. There is not trail map posted. It is pretty but there are many other trails around Dallas that are much prettier. We won t be going back.
