We chose this venue because we knew we wanted an intimate setting for our wedding. We knew we would have about 50 guests and wanted a place that felt fun, beautiful, and appropriate for the party size. In addition to providing us with all of our wants, House of DIRT also made the planning of our wedding extremely easy since they had all the decor we needed and they also do their own flowers. I gave them some inspiration pics of what our (vague) vision was and they really took off with it. It was absolutely perfect and everything really came together. Jennifer was super helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. We cannot thank her enough!

Attended a wedding here and while it s a cute venue it s nothing special. First off there is NO PARKING, all you family and friends have to find spots on the street, hope they don t get towed and WALK and WALK to the venue. Cmon, no parking for a WEDDING VENUE? Are you kidding me? Second there was no dance floor. It s basically an outdoor stage with mismatched benches/chairs then inside is a very cramped space for a limited # of guests. We were literally packed in like sardines and the dance floor in front of the bar was big enough for about 3-4 couples. Overall the biggest complaints are no parking and very small

House of Dirt & team gave us the night of our dreams. Our venue was one of the first things my husband & I took care of. Two months after paying our deposit & working through the rest of our list we got a call while on vacation that the venue was being sold & new ownership was not allowing events moving forward. We were devastated. We got home & after calling ten places, I was feeling pretty hopeless after hearing from every venue that they would not allow us to bring in our own caterer. I asked our caterer for their recommendations & that is how we stumbled on House of Dirt. We fell in the love with the space as soon as we walked in. It was quaint, warm, eclectic, gorgeous & chic. We absolutely loved the mix of indoor & outdoor space & felt it was the perfect size to accommodate our smaller guest count. My husband made the comment that he actually liked this place way more than our last venue & I couldn t have agreed more. More important than the space (even though it was perfect) was the amount of attention, the consideration, kindness & care that my husband & I received as clients. House of Dirt was so upfront & transparent about their pricing & accommodations, which I really appreciated as I feel like there are so many vendors now who lack straightforwardness. House of Dirt was also gracious in working with us around our budget & talking us through how we could make things work. We felt the entire experience was honest, that there was clarity & that this establishment operates with integrity (something that is kind of missing in the wedding planning space in my humble opinion). House of Dirt also operates so differently than so many other venues in that they really take care of so many additional planning pieces. We did not have to worry about getting additional supplies (e.g. glasses, flutes, plates), we were able to add florals that Dirt took care of (this piece was huge), & we were also able to bring in our own items like branded cocktail napkins & a customized hot dog cart to still make our event feel special to us. Our Event Coordinator, Jennifer, was a total rockstar & we adored working with her. She was just as enthusiastic about our event as we were, which really made the whole experience feel special. She has so much passion & was so communicative & helpful throughout the entire process. During our BEO meeting a month before our reception was when we really recognized just how hard working & dedicated Jennifer was to making our event a success. We were asked about our inspiration & Jennifer took this & did an incredible job working with her team to bring this to life in terms of layout, florals, & decor. She was organized, so coordinated, & took over a lot of the planning pieces including calling & speaking with all of our vendors ahead of time to make sure things ran smoothly the day of. As we were eloping & planned to be out of town until the day before our reception, we were so grateful for Jennifer & knew things would be taken care of so we didn t have to stress or worry while we were gone. The night of our event, Jennifer took care of every single detail & her & her team worked so hard to make the space look beautiful. It was so great to work with someone so credible & trustworthy especially as we did not hire any outside coordinator in an effort to stay within our budget. While I assume there were hiccups or things that needed to be solved the night of the event, I actually cannot confirm because Jennifer worked so hard to make sure everything was handled & ran seamlessly so my husband & I did not have to stress about anything. I had multiple friends comment that she was working so hard, running around making the event a success. House of Dirt is such a wonderful hidden gem & we would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful & unique venue space & a team who actually cares about the vision of your event & bringing it to life successfully & stress free. We are so thankful to them for making our reception such an incredible time for our friends & family & a gorgeous memory for us.

I recently got married at House of Dirt and I felt inclined to share how wonderful our experience was. From touring to planning and then to event execution, we had a terrific experience. As with any wedding, there were a few snags in the day (not the staff or venues fault), but they were handled with professionalism and kindness. We could not have had a better experience with the venue or staff! Jennifer, the day-of coordinator, was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. She helped everything run smoothly, despite some changes to the timeline. Her attention to detail helped us only worry about having fun during the event. Looking back at pictures, she even fluffed my wifes dress as she walked down the aisle. The attention to detail was above and beyond what we expected. Thank you to Jennifer for helping us in every step of the process! I will be recommending House of Dirt to everyone as a venue focused on ensuring you have a great experience during your event!

As a wedding photographer, I have fallen in love with the House of Dirt each and every time I have visited. How can you not? With their unique, whimsical, open and vibrant atmosphere! The eclectic details they provide are so special and quaint. There is so much space for your quests to mingle and celebrate with their two outdoor spaces, and indoor space. Not to mention, the lighting is absolutely stunning all throughout, and and at all times of day. 10/10 recommend for your wedding or event! :) - Holly Roberts Photography

This place is not only the most unique party place in the city but its like a fine Swiss watch in terms of management and execution. As a caterer, I work in dozens of places in North Texas and Dallas area, so I see every set up and style of event. House of Dirt can be the best 30th birthday place, small wedding or celebration of life. Its small, fabulous, quirky, and a true gem. Thank you House of Dirt, Wendy

It is so hard to put into words how amazing House of Dirt was throughout the entire process- start to finish- of our wedding. First of all, I had so many high maintenance requests for this day. I literally rented a u haul to drop off so many decorations. I gave them horribly photoshopped examples of what I kind of wanted it to look like and they brought it to life in the most magically perfect way. Jennifer was so so helpful during the entire process, and even went as far as to often remind me to take a breath and enjoy this experience. (and also, eat a snack) :) The venue itself is stunning and didnt even need the decor I dropped off, but they enthusiastically accommodated to help us host a Woodstock themed wedding. I will be sure to add photos from our day when we get them back. They helped us with recommended vendors, provided a busser, amazing bartender, flipped all our decor for the reception, set and cleaned everything up... all we did was basically show up the day of and that was time I am so thankful I got to spend with visiting friends and family. Also, all we had to do was show up the day after with flexible time and pick up items that were carefully packed up for us. Jennifer, Sonya, and House of Dirt staff- thank you for making all our wedding dreams come true. Future couples- you wont regret choosing House of Dirt for your day. We could not have done this without yall!!!

Loved having House of Dirt as my wedding venue. I attended a wedding here in 2019 and was blown away with the venue. I love how unique, simple but beautiful and full of detail it is. Which is why I chose it as my venue, I wanted something unique, cozy, and thoughtful that all my guests would love as much as I do. Besides how beautiful it was, seriously my photographer was surprised with how many different spots there was to take beautiful pictures, the service was great from booking to the wedding day. Jennifer, the venue coordinator was very detailed in making sure we had all the details figured out the month before the wedding. The day before the wedding we dropped off all the supplies to set up (signs, frames, drinks etc) which they set up beautifully for me, and Im a control freak, so that was much appreciated. They worked with me to figure out all my last second questions. Everyone, including my vendors, were so surprised with how calm the groom and I were the day of the wedding, even at our wedding. It was because we had already figured everything out, and simply had to enjoy the event with our guest. We couldnt have done it without the great staff. My in-laws raved at how great Jennifer and the staff were, totally on top of everything, making sure everything went smooth. Highly recommend the venue and staff if you want a unique, cozy, stunning wedding or any event really.

I have attended several art events hosted by House of Dirt. The venue team are respectful and warm. I enjoyed the ambiance so much as a venue guest that I decided to host an event there. The owner personally sat with me to discuss my event. Not only did she clearly outline what support to expect from the venue, she even went above and beyond to by offering me contact information to outside service providers for elements that the venue does not provide such as lighting design, music, and food service.

We have used House of Dirt on several occasions for fundraisers and other events and Sonya and her staff have gone above and beyond every single time . They have always catered to every need of ours, no matter how specific and have been as available as possible to anything we requested. The staff is warm, courteous and clearly very happy which as we all know can make or break the vibe at an event. I LOVE working with Sonya, and I will continue to use HOD as my go to for all future events. Oh and not to mention you really cannot beat the gorgeous space itself ! !!

Owner is extremely rude!! After my experience I decided to review the comments and seeing both the negative and positive that Sonya claims to love her business/job I don t understand. As I am someone who loves her job I do it with a smile every day and want every person I engage with to know I m happy they re in my presence and want them to feel comfortable and welcomed Sonya gives quite the opposite impression unfortunately. Her place is absolutely beautiful, there is no denying that. It would be a completely different rating if the owner had a better attitude/demeanor. I also ran across some of her responses to which I always understand owners responding to reviews however I believe the way she addressed a few of them was very unprofessional and tacky. (-2/10)

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding hosted at House of Dirt, and I have to say it was one of the most thought out, beautifully staged, stress free weddings I ve been too. The cocktails were amazing, the preferred vendors top notch, and the House of Dirt owners and team extemely helpful and present to assist. Our bride made sure she checked all of her boxes for things the venue isn t responsible for but it really seemed like they went above and beyond to make sure even those things were buttoned up (even though that s not their responsibility). and of COURSE the flowers and arrangements were STUNNING and some of the most beautiful, unique bouquets I ve ever seen. 10/10 would host an event here, order florals from, and recommend again!

If i could leave a 0 star I would. However, google dose not allow that and I will leave a 1 star review for the simple fact that my entire family came together for once in my life and decided to have the best night of their lives. The manager disrespected multiple people. Including me, the groom. But thats okay, we rocked that place, our DJ can attest as well as Lock Hart, our amazing food from across the street who I will 5 star. But they were upset with how off the timing was of everything and the food getting cold since the manager had no clue of time. The Venue- amazing. We rocked it. God bless America.

terrible ripoff on $100 Bastille tickets for a caberet show that was a pathetic NO style brass band, horrific limited lite bites and far from the promised # of cocktail stations. I hate to think how much they lie and ripoff wedding arrangements. wedding cake probably a stale twinkee with a plastic army solider for the groom and a minature broken barbie for the bride. You are better off holding your wedding at Ya Ya Foot Spa with a reception at Bishop Cider than here I bet if this events truthfulness and quality is any indication.

If it was not being used as a venue you might think it was an oversized Garden shed. It was a very enjoyable ceremony and the catering was great.
