We absolutely love Rudys. We stopped in to grab the family some BBQ and we got moist brisket, a whole chicken, potato salad, and beans along with a couple of banana puddings and my goodness it was so delicious! The staff are all very friendly and helpful they all seemed to be in a great mood so Im guessing Rudys treats their employees good as well which is wonderful to see. Thank you to Sara H who checked us out shes great, and shes really an asset to your establishment. Well done yall! We highly recommend you go give them a try if you havent, the food is amazing! Parking: They have a pretty big parking lot. We were able to pull our semi truck in without a trailer (Bob tail) no problem. Yall should be able to park no problem if they arent super packed but theyve got allot of room there so they can accommodate plenty of people.

In my opinion some of the best bbq in Texas. Very dependable and very consistent. The moist brisket is to die for its just so tender and fatty. You might want to make sure you have a lot of room in your belly because it really expands especially when you add the bread-and-butter that are complimentary. I really love all the sides and especially the potato salad and coleslaw has the perfect amount of vinegar and mayonnaise. Sometimes the line is long around lunch hour but it does move really quickly!

A rare 5 stars. This place is the bomb. Love the atmosphere they have created. As soon as you are in the parking lot you smell the smoke and meat. I got a 1/2 pound of moist brisket, which means it has a little delicious fat. It was sooooooooooo good. Tasty. Delicious. On point. I also got potato salad and pinto beans. Both side were perfect. Tasty. I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommend.

Im sad to say that this meal did not agree with me. Antacid and pepto...I dont know their recipes, but my moist brisket was a pinkish gray with no smoke ring. Yet the flavor was riddled with smoke. If I had to guess, it was a liquid smoke that was used in some way.

This was my one visit to a commercial chain BBQ joint during my Christmas visit . I ve eaten at Rudy s many times and have not been disappointed. Strangely enough, they had the best bark on their brisket that I ve had in a while. The point brisket was juicy and did not disappoint. They had a wonderful smoky flavor I ve been looking for. The spare ribs were not up to par though. They looked like they didn t even have a rub on them. Of course I ate them, but I wouldn t go to this chain for these ribs. The staff was great and all the locations I ve been have all had ample seating and TVs all around for a nice distraction. Rudy s service at this location was quick and efficient. I recall expediting this at the other two locations I visited in San Antonio also many moons ago.

Consistently disappointing BBQ. Service is always friendly and prompt but BBQ is average at best. I ordered the baby back ribs and watched them pull something out of a warmer wrapped in aluminum foil. What they sliced and placed on the paper were the most unappetizing ribs I have ever seen. Bland, almost smokeless flavor... more like they were oven roasted and not BBQ. Given the availability of restaurants in the area with better prepared smoked meats, I cant recommend Rudys.

Rudys catered my wedding! They made the process easy, had a great variety available for catering, and took care of the whole process from start to finish - delivery, set up, service, and clean up. Update: this location has moved and is under new management!! Major improvements. The food was hot. And the dining room very clean. I have frequented Rudys my whole life. I recently moved to Austin and discovered that none of the Austin Area Rudys serve their smoked potatoes. I made the hour-long drive to visit the location in New Braunfels for their Smoked potatoes and was disappointed. They had an over done, burnt rate to them and the portion (both the size of the potatoes as well as the portion of meat its served with) didnt quite match other Rudys locations that I have visited in other parts of Texas.

Everything is so good here. This store offers a bit more variety than the one I frequent in Selma but theyre just as friendly. I had a Brisket Baked Potato and it was so good! My friends ordered a brisket sandwich and creamed corn and banana pudding. We all had soft drinks and tea and got our fill of pickles from the condiment bar. The atmosphere is great. Theres TVs all around w/ different sports and you just have a great time here. There certainly is plenty of room here for everyone.
