This is my favorite place to hang out at other than my home. Very eclectic and inclusive crowd. You will meet the most interesting people from all walks of life here, which actually makes it a great place to network. There is a different theme every night, with DJs that play everything from punk to 90s hip hop and r&b to classic funk to house, and much more. Sometimes there are pop-ups with a vendor selling vintage clothing or art. The bartenders are quick and friendly, and the prices are affordable. Free parking lot right outside, and if you get there before 10pm you might find a covered spot. Karaoke on Fridays gets very crowded, so come before 10:30 if you want to sign up to sing. A great place for creative or hipster types to meet people. Just don t have sex in the bathrooms.

Bar tenders are always on point. They always have a friendly and eclectic crowd. The door guy is awesome and always has patrons safety and interests in mind. Ive never had a bad experience.

A dive bar s, dive bar, nestled in the sweet spot between Deep Ellum, Lakewood & Uptown, is what s needed from time to time! Charlie s Star Lounge has clientele as colorfully all encompassing as their decor; definitely a place to check all your biases at the door, because all are welcome here! Don t arrive expecting fancy stemware, or rocks, rather plastic cups, filled with some of your favorite libations for great prices, served by a wonderful bartender, appropriately named Big Fun. Djs pump different genres on vinyl the nights they re open, so dancing is highly recommended, inside or on their patio surrounded by parking. If you re a taller person, be careful in some areas because your head will make contact with a speaker. Be sure to look around, you just might find me wiggling to the music. Xoxo Lorenzo! I went here for the first time last weekend. My buddy Kyle has gone here many times before. It was surprisingly not very full, but plenty of places to sit and have some good times with, however, big of a group of friends you have. Great selection of beers on tap. I had a sour beer that was excellent. I wish I could remember the name of it. Check er out fur shur ( ° °)

I m honestly here right now as I am typing this and when I tell you if you need a chill bar spot for you and your friends to listen to locals or new comers at karaoke this is the bar to be at!! Like this is my first time being here and me and my friends were just waiting here until the club across the street became more lit but being here honestly seemed more fun!! Like I ll definitely be back for sure!!

Do you like a dive bar where you just might know half the people there? This might be your place. Sometimes its just a bar, sometimes they have karaoke. But its always a groovy dive bar with great bartenders. Mill about inside, hang by the bar, or go out to the patio and sit at a table. If you go there alone and arent shy, youre guaranteed to make new friends, even if those are your friends for just that evening.

This place is awesome, the staff is super nice and drinks are great. Such a fun and positive atmosphere. We had been bar hopping for my friend s bday prior to coming to Star Lounge, and she ended up throwing up on the bar as we were cashing out. The staff did not have to be as kind and understanding as they were, but they were so sweet! Absolutely want to go back, but def easy does it next time!
