John Helms is a caring and compassionate attorney and a blessing to me and my family member in an extremely difficult situation. He was responsive to the needs of his client and to the family. He worked hard to defend his clients rights in a complex case. The outcome was as good as it could have been under the circumstances. I appreciated the professionalism he demonstrated throughout the whole process. He is clearly respected in the courtroom and that was obvious and well deserved. I spoke with Mr. William Perras, who was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about my concerns and asked me questions that I had no answers to. William could tell from my hesitation I was like a deer in headlights and he kindly led me out of the wilderness. When i was indicted in 2019 it was my very first serious encounter with the police. I contacted Mr.Helms and he took no time looking into my case. I hired John to represent me when I was indicted, along with two other defendants, on a two-count felony charge. Several lawyers were involved in our case that lasted 18 months, culminating in an eight-day trial. John did a fantastic job and all of the other lawyers were very impressed with him. They told me several times that he was very smart, a pleasure to work with, and he worked harder than any lawyer they had ever worked with before. It gave me comfort to know that my lawyer was so well respected. This was my first time to be involved in any legal trouble or to be charged with a crime and I was terrified. John took the time to explain everything that was happening and what to expect at each step. He was always available to answer any questions I had. He did what he said he was going to do and always followed through. During the trial, I had to testify for three exhausting hours. I was very nervous, but John prepared me and helped me to remain calm, holding my hand throughout, figuratively speaking. Because of his hard work, experience, and knowledge of how to present my case, he obtained a rare Rule 29 ACQUITTAL for me before the case was sent to the jury for deliberation. After the trial, John didn t just drop me. He followed up with me to see how I was and tied up some loose ends for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a lawyer.

After searching for attorney in Dallas Texas area I come across John Helm who by far has got to be the most honest and trust worthy atty. that I have ever used in my life. He was straight forward and straight to the point, when in light of the situation he had the full opportunity to charge me lots of money, he explained to me that I did not need an attorney but he would represent me if I wanted him to. He charge me minimal fee to represent me and the end there was no case which he told me upfront. I would highly recommend any one in need of attorney giving him a call. Federal Defense Attorney, John M. Helms was an outstanding leader in the case of many defendants needing Attorney services. My relatated defendant chose Mr. Helms simply for the fact that he was well versed in the process of the Prosecution side of the system in Law as well as the Defense side. He kept us apprised of what was happening at all times, whether it was from the Prosecution s evidence or hearsay. I was charged with two counts of felony deadly conduct for allegedly shooting at, or in the direction of, two electric company employees. I was afraid, and I did not know what to do. I started looking up attorneys, and I found John Helms and sent him an email. This was a Saturday night, and he called back that evening. Not having to wait until Monday made me feel much more at ease. John did an awesome job preparing for trial. He was very focused and thorough. He came out to our house numerous times to meet with me and my husband to take photographs, videos, and measurements of the area where it happened. When we went to court for trial, John had all the evidence ready. He had personally made large posterboard exhibits of surveys and maps. He had photographs and videos to show the jury what I saw from where I was and what the electrical workers saw from where they were. One of his videos had sound so that the jury could hear all of noise it made when two men were running through the bushes and undergrowth. He left no stone unturned. The jury, the judge, and even the DA were impressed. I was found not guilty on all counts. If you ever have need a criminal lawyer for an important case, I would highly recommend John Helms. Im delighted to write a review on John Helms. If you need a lawyer to represent you he is the one. I own many companies and he has represented me and my friends. My statement is simple, best attorney around. I contacted Mr Helms upon a recommendation from another satisfied client and another lawyer. He brings results fast and does not prolong the situation. I suffered from racketeering within my own company by several of my employees. Furthermore, he closed the company that they managed to open secretly while stealing my customers, unfortunately my accounting manager was in on it as well. Johns background comes from working in the DEA in the past. He is honest and knowledgeable inside out. Also very well connected. if you need a lawyer he is your lawyer and if he cant take your case then he will guide you in the right direction.
