The creamy pesto tasted like he has dropped an entire container of salt in it. My waitress came back and basically said that is how creamy pesto comes. Ive never in my life had pesto that salty. I sent it back and got the creme brulee.. it was lumpy and the sugar topper was so thick that it tasted burnt. I honestly dont know how this place got so many great reviews. Maybe they cook differently for different people idk. My waitress was amazing though, super sweet :)

Review from my 10yo son: Cute, Great food, Amazing bread, The BEST chocolate cake like EVER!!!!!!!!!!! My review: This is a gem of a restaurant. Great atmosphere, incredible friendly staff and amazing food. I had the mahi-mahi special with grilled vegetables and fettuccine. My son got the spaghetti with bolognese sauce. Both were amazing. For desert my son had chocolate cake and I had panna cotta. Again both were delicious. Unfortunately we are from out of town and won t be able to frequent this restaurant as much as we would like. We will definitely come back every time we are in Corpus.

We were a party of four in for a long visit and lots of catching up. We were well accommodated in our leisurely pace. The pasta bar features a wide selection of menue items prepared in the corner of the dining room as you like with the kitchen support behind it with a pass through window. Everyone was pleased with their selections. A paved parking lot and street parking accommodated an almost full dinning room.

What a find! Was actually headed to another restaurant that had a longer wait than expected and another patron told us about this place. Nice, simple atmosphere, service was wonderful, and the food was really good. I would definitely recommend coming in if you are around. Will not be disappointed .

I love the pasta bar. Its so easy to get exactly what you want. And the lir alfredo is perfect. Ive had their seafood ravioli and mushroom ravioli previously. I prefer the mushroom ravioli personally. My mom got the charbroiled shrimp and they were quite large. She said they were very good.

We came here with the expectations of having a really good meal and wanted basic Italian fare. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, but the food really missed our expectations. We ordered from their pasta bar which appears to be a daily offering hoping to be blown away by mouth watering and filling pasta dishes but these came up far short of our expectations. My pasta was incredibly salty and but I inhaled as much as I could eat because I came to this restaurant hungry wanting to stuff my face with bread and pasta. My wife s bolognese was very meaty with little sauce and that made her dish kind of dry. Maybe this was an off night for this establishment but we wont be back and won t be trying to eat anymore Italian food in Corpus after our first strike out at Frank s pasta house and now this. Go get some seafood instead.

This is my third time going to Marcos Lunch Club. The food is delicious, hot, and fresh. I had the Stroganoff, and the meat melted in your mouth. The flavors blend so well. I also had the amaretto chocolate cake for dessert; ooooh, it was so good - moist, just the right amount of icing, and amaretto. The service was great! The servers were attentive and made sure we all had what we needed. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. It has plenty of parking on the street and in the back. Try it! You will love it!

Best Italian food you can find IMO. We enjoy the pasta bar since you can create your own type of meal. From the bread with olive oil and balsamic with cracked pepper you first get served to finishing out with 5 star desserts, your time and money here will be well spent. Servers are very professional and consistent with making sure your experience is nothing less than wonderful. Weve eaten here over a dozen times and not once had an unpleasant experience. Of course they have the atmosphere like sitting in a small town off the Mediterranean coast with bright colors and pretty paintings. Great place for a lunch meet up for small companies. Ive seen quite a few have meetings there as well. As for location, seems literally like a whole in the wall close to some sketch areas but never judge a book by its cover or youll miss some delicious gourmet meals. Parking: If this place is busy parking may be tough to find or down one of the side streets so make sure to lock your vehicle up.

My wife and I ate lunch there for the first time. The roasted vegetables and rosemary potatoes were excellent. The shrimp were tasty and the chicken was as well (although it would have been more tender if it had flattened out a bit). The atmosphere was comfortable and the service was attentive. The brick building may not look like much but it has a wonderful secret. A pasta bar! Why doesnt every Italian restaurant give me the option to build my own plate by choosing a pasta type, sauce and toppings. I also highly recommend the generous size and portion of ravioli. Finally, the staff are genuinely friendly. They make you feel right at home. Vegetarian options: The pasta bar allows you to customize without meat.

I would ve taken photos but I devoured it all too quickly! The chicken fiorentina is my favorite. Amazing every time and it s hard to put the fork down. Incredibly disappointing (do NOT order the Veal) This was one of my worst dining experiences I can remember in my life. Our waitress was probably if not the worst waitress I have had the displeasure of coming across. I dont have the energy to go into great deal about the entire meal. Suffice is say, visiting from Austin, came here with family, ordered the veal saltimbocca, it was basically inedible it was so tough and chewy, told my waitress I couldnt eat it, SAID WE WOULD BE CHARGED ANYWAY in the rudest way possible, mom steps in and says we cant eat it, waitress back talks still in the most ignorant way possible and then I thought my head would explode from anger. I have very low expectations of any restaurant in corpus but somehow this place managed to still fall short. Only redeeming quality was manager was very apologetic and did try to mitigate the situation by offering free food and what not but for me personally I was having none of it. The rest of my family enjoyed their food but non of them got the veal and if you take nothing else from this DO NOT ORDER THE VEAL.

Lucy was our waitress and she was so patient and understanding explaining different options as far as explaining the menu, specials and explaining the pasta bar. I truly wanted one if everything it just all sounded delicious. OMG my dish from the pasta bar was delicious and the generous portion was more than enough. Marcos is one of the best restaurants to eat Italian food. The food is on point. If your looking for a good soup try the Tomato Basil Soup. All cooked when you order, fresh! During the week they are only open from 11am-2pm. But now they are open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30-9pm! You will not be disappointed.

As a wedding planner I m so impressed with Marco, his attentive staff, the beautiful food, the cleanliness, the menu prices, everything. I have tried a lot of food for catering, and corpus doesn t impress often, but today I brought a client for a tasting and we could not have left happier. Yes, you read that right (long story). . . LUNCH TIME: . Hubby enjoyed the handmade Ravioli di Mare. Stuffed with Shrimp and Crabmeat. Served with zippy Vodka Sauce. . . Granddaughter throughly enjoyed the Grilled Salmon. Marinated with fresh herbs served with roasted vegetables . . DINNER TIME: . . . We ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms. Mushroom caps stuffed with Italian Sausage, Bacon, Onions, Peppers, Herbs and Parmesan . . Daughter loved the Veal Scaloppine Piccata. This had capers in a white wine lemon sauce served with angel hair pasta tossed in the white wine lemon sauce with capers. This was an excellent dish!! We love us some lemon sauce with capers and this did NOT disappoint!!! (Whoever stated in reviews that this was too tart obviously was unaware that lemons are used. Of course its going to be tart. Bread and Lasagna was delicious. Very hearty yet light at the same time. Very accessible. Quick, comfortable, and affordable, but can be what ever you need it to be. Had a great lunch while on vacation.

Wow. I cannot wait to come back! Place is a little warm temperature wise, but the ambiance and friendliness of the staff exceeds expectations. The food was excellent and I highly suggest trying their pink sauce! A little pricier than your normal fast food of course, but it is worth every penny. We only had a couple pasta dishes so I can only imagine the dessert! Five star food, five star service!

The food and hospitality were amazing, I ordered a chicken parmesan and it was definitely better than others Ive had before. It is pricey $$$.. no dishes under $18 but it was worth it and Id definitely return sometime in the future. There is parking in the back, which does seem a bit sketchy, so if possible, park in front of the building by the street.
