10/10 recommend! life after bankruptcy has been truly amazing ! I was super nervous when inquiring about bankruptcy to begin with , I had a consultation and a month or so latter seriously considered it! The process is definitely a waiting game but it was honestly worth it ! This worked for me and my situation and I would suggest to seek them out if your situation permits . They were very honest and communicative through the whole process.and life after discharge has definitely been one for the books!

Slow to respond to your inquires but quick to ask for more money. They will handle the case you hired them for but only do the bare basics & won t communicate freely. Millennial employees have attitude. If you do get sued they won t even respond to your emails or phone calls. Save yourself the frustration & hire another attorney.

Would not recommend at all. Once you pay your retainer fee you won t ever speak to David Shuster again, even though that s who represents you, he will have his law clerks deal with you after the initial filling with the bankruptcy court. Staff is mediocre at best, wish I would have received better advice and actually understood why we chose a chapter 13 vs a chapter 7. Had to wait 5+ months to receive payoff information. Worst of all the law clerk staff incorrectly filed my final motion for dismissal, which postponed my discharge by over 30 days with no apology. I had to stay on this law firm to get things done, constant follow up, ended up having to speak directly to the bankruptcy trustee to get answers. Don t waste your money with this law firm.

Being someone who had never needed to consider filing bankruptcy I found Shuster Law here on Google. I called and set up an appointment to come in and sit down to discuss the best options for my situation. David was kind and very understanding, taking the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly answer all of my questions. They then walked me through the entire process step-by-step to file and get it done. I received my discharge on the 11th of January. I cant thank David and his team enough and if I ever find myself in a situation that requires legal representation within their firms areas of expertise they will be the first call I make.

Great for the initial bankruptcy, not great when a creditor started reporting on my credit again. Everything with the bankruptcy went fine. It was filed in July and then done in October. I was assured that this was the only way to not be liable for my ex-husbands mortgage, which was the only reason I did a bankruptcy. 2 years later the mortgage company reports the mortgage back on my credit. They had started foreclosure proceedings, and my name was on the lawsuit. I called the office and first I was referred by the gal who answered the phone to a credit repair office. I called again because they had told me when I filed that if any of the creditors began reporting those accounts again, it would be breaking the law and to contact them. I spoke to a paralegal who listened to what was going on, and he said it definitely was against the law. He said he would have a retainer sent over so they could start the process. I never received the retainer. I reached out twice after that and they said theyd send it over. Finally after 2 weeks, I found a different attorney to help me and get the whole situation resolved. Two things should have happened. They should have told me that the bankruptcy wouldnt completely remove me from anything to do with that mortgage. And they should tell people up front when they are too busy instead of wasting their time.

had a credit lawsuit and they were very eager to take my case for the flat fee. They filed all the necessary paperwork but to be honest I felt that the communication could have been better as to what exactly was being done and what it meant for the case. All communication was via their portal so if you don t constantly check your email, you have no way of knowing you have a message. The case made it to court and it was dismissed, I got a text stating so but no call to explain what exactly that meant. Would have been nice to know what exactly that meant because the lawsuit was filed again and when I called to get an explanation all they could say was oh it so unusual for that to happen and it was only dismissed because the plaintiff file the paperwork not because they did something. When I asked what happens next they said they would have to recharge me a flat fee ($1500) to represent me in this case, because it had a new case number. So, I was left with no resolution to my case, no documents of the case. Like if nothing had happen, I feel like they just took my money. So if you re looking for help search elsewhere!

Davis Shister is awesome! He responded relatively quickly to my questions amd was always willing to fond a time to meet with me. The rest of the staff, however... not so responsive or helpful. It took days for responses to emails, often multiple phone messages to get a call back. I set an appointment with the paralegal, but because she doesn t check email frequently, she failed to make the phone call because she went to lunch. I realize we re in a unique economy, but the uncertainty in responses blamed on COVID made getting answers difficult and often the answers were confusing or in direct conflict with what creditors were telling me and much of the time I felt left alone to make life-altering decisions related to the case and filing. That was VERY different than the picture painted during those first meetings prior to filing.

We selected David Shuster for our legal representation. From the initial contact with the Shuster firm, they took time to answer all of our questions and concerns. The firm exhibited professional and detailed knowledge of current laws, and the documents needed for the courts. On the day of our court date, we observed two separate hearings ahead of us, whose lawyers were unprepared and unsuccessful for their court date. We are not in any financial trouble but just wanted to speak with someone who is knowledgeable regarding Texas laws as they relate to Homestead, etc. David Shuster was very helpful in explaining how our assets would be protected against creditors if we should fall into hard times. Not sure how any of the other reviewers gave him a 5 star but after 1 week I fired him. Documents were not completed as promised and when they were completed filing was not submitted on Friday and then Saturday as promised. Canceled a meeting, and didnt call when he was supposed to. The worst part he will not give your money back. He may have put 90 minutes and his assistants an hour worth of work (FYI they made so many mistakes on the documents) but that was it. I will be filing a complaint against him. UPDATE: It took this attorney 2 weeks to respond to my email requesting my money back for doing a couple of hours worth of work. He only responded because I spoke the truth (review). He claims that I am only entitled to 25% of money..STAY AWAY he will take your money and do nothing.

David Shuster was referred to us by a good friend ours who is also an attorney with a different type of practice. What started out as a simple issue grew increasingly complex with many obstacles. It ended up taking over a year to get through. I cannot begin to tell you how great David and his Paralegal Scott are. I was being sued over a private student loan debt that had been bought by a third party company, before they had even really given me a chance to make good on the debt. I was contacted by this firm before Id even been officially notified of the suit myself, and Im very glad that I responded. I was feeling very overwhelmed with the entire situation, but David Shuster handled my case very well; getting out of work to handle things wasnt really feasible for me, but David and his team conveniently worked with me through phone and email; everything that I thought would be awful about the whole process ended up not being a hassle at all. Ultimately, they were able to have the case against me dismissed, and I couldnt be more relieved and satisfied with their hard work. These are absolutely people you want on your side.

Michael Crowder was my attorney, I can honestly say this guy is someone you want in your corner. Michael kept a calm and down-to-earth attitude during all my proceedings, I never at any point felt treated different than any other clients. Michael was always accessible within 24 hours, and always is willing to go toe-to toe with the District Attorney. Jared Julian and his amazing staff helped me through my divorce and I really could not be more grateful for the experience that they all gave. Thank you Jared Julian !! This guy made our adoption process so easy !! There were alot of legal unknowns for us as we ventured into this territory. Once we found a match and contacted Jared for the private adoption, he took charge and handled everything making it so smooth for us its unbelievable.. Jared kept in constant contact letting us know the status of our case and even checked in on us whe...n he didnt have to just to see how we were doing as well as our new baby girl. Jared Julian is a great attorney and skilled litigator. I highly recommend him. My kids are safe today, because of him.
