My 17 year old son went here with his own skates. The 2 white ladies at the front gave him a hard time about using his own skates. Even though there s no policy on bringing your own. It is allowed. But for some reason he couldn t. One of the white ladies asked him 5 times if he paid. Then she went got another white lady and said she don t think he paid. He pulled his receipt and showed he did pay and one of the ladies said he did pay with her. The one Karen stated i don t believe his transaction was approved even though her coworker stated he paid and showed her the receipt. My son ultimately felt embarrassed and ashamed of all the unwanted attention they were causing so he turned in the skates they made him purchase, even though he had his own skates, and was walking towards the exit doors to leave when the white lady yelled out loud for the 6th time are tall sure he paid and her coworker stayed yes for the 6th time. This racial profiling is completely wrong and i will be protesting against this racist establishment.

Been coming here consistently for 8 years consecutively. The owners are like family to me and I consider this rink one of my few safe spaces. The snack bar is good considering the context of it being a roller rink. I should mention that the the hotdogs are bomb. Shout-out Colby Now that Im 20, I am no longer the demographic of this particular rink. Unfortunately for me, most sessions are filled with preteens. So I keep to myself and practice my skating. Adult nights are fun. I wish they hosted them more frequently. And maybe have a session specifically for tricks (so I can use cones) wink wink nudge nudge. I like that Rainbow is home to a derby and an artistic skating team. They also provide skate lessons. The only negative I can think of is that the floor is not the best. I wish they would repair it and that they cleaned it better. Its not the worst, but it could be a lot better.

Went this weekend (on a Saturday). I live closer to the humble skating rink but drive an hour out to this one due to it being nicer. My daughter just turned 6 and so we had family that drove here from out of state to visit. I have one concern about closing early in the middle of a Saturday. I think the people that have paid shouldnt have to pay again to come back after the 1 hour break. Maybe use wrist bands showing they already paid? This would help anyone out who is already on a low budget, unless this is done on purpose to double dip in someones pocket. Another thing, with how crowded and packed it was, my 69 year old grandmother couldnt find a place to sit due to all the tables being taken. This includes the small benches along the walls that were taken up by other people either sitting or using it to put all their stuff on. The rest of the tables were closed off. Out of the 3 sections of tables, only 1 was open on a Saturday? If the facility already closes to clean and prep for the next birthday parties, whats the reasoning of closing off the rest of the tables? So you dont have to clean them again? We had to stand for an hour holding our things and watch my daughter and family skate. When it got to peak hours, it got VERY hot. I wasnt even skating and I was breaking out into a sweat. Finally, when we were gathering our things and changing back to regular shoes, a woman was asking everyone who the baby standing at her feet belonged too. This went on for about 5 minutes. No one claimed this baby who looked to be maybe 1? She finally picked the baby up and walked to the counter at the doors saying she found the baby when the mom came around the corner from behind the counter saying oh thats my baby, shes fine. Seriously?? Someone could have taken her and no one would have noticed. Not to mention the baby wasnt even close to the counter or let alone in view of the mom. That was VERY unsafe and VERY unprofessional. Ive been coming to this rink since I was a little girl. I even went when overnight skating was a thing for kids. (One of the best memories I have) but after this, Im just not sure how I feel about coming back.

I went here a lot as a kid, just went back for the first time with my daughter and our church kids. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I like that you dont have to pay extra for inline skates anymore and Im not sure if its all the time or not, but we didnt have to pay to rent the skating trainers either. It felt more friendly as well. We had pizza while we were there. I wasnt really a fan and most of the kids didnt really care for it. Im not sure if it was a frozen pizza or what, but I think it would be better if they made it there. Otherwise we had a great time.

Nice rink. The floor is as smooth as butter. Didnt see too much going on though. Mostly kids but one of managers told me there would be an Adult night the last Saturday of every month. Ill have to check it out. I like how they included bare foot races in the racing. Pretty cool.

i love skating but i absolutely hated this rink; very unput together, the people were rude, they were dirty and didn t hold people s shoes, everyone s shoes were all over the floor. Didn t like this experience definitely won t be going back. I can t even wear what I would like because they have a dress code and you have to follow school rules in a skating rink??? really?? Not to mention they threw away the food that I paid for. Never again

They threw away my drinks one lied about song request and they have a dress code and the songs were trash also the whole establishment was very unput together. We really need to have more understanding with the children with disabilities my child is special needs and he loved coming here because y all were the only roller rink that would let him play and enjoy himself without having to wear skates I was so excited to bring him back until this lady in stripes basically told us he couldn t play even though we payed to bring him there and he was being watched buy me and his father I hope next time things can be different and y all broaden your understanding for children on the spectrum and or have special needs.

Had my daughters birthday party here and brought a cake. We had a table next to several other birthday parties who all had cakes ...yet we were not allowed to have ours. Told by the manager that it was about his authority and folowing the rules....he literally verbatim said that. We offered to pay for whatever including the 200 dollar party reservation fee and he still refused. My 10 yr old will not be back and neither will we ...which is lucky for him because I had to restrain myself from having a talk with him in the parking lot. To the manager... you got super lucky ...super lucky.

We had our kids birthday parties here this year. They were very open and up front about all of their options. Booking online was very easy. We just showed up on the day of the party with cupcakes, and they did the rest! The kids had a great time, and it brought back happy memories of going here for birthday parties when I was a kid. This is such a nice and clean skating rink. The employees are so nice!! This is the only skating rink Ive found so far from Mobile, AL to the Grand Ole state TX, that will let the parent with shoes walk with their beginning skater kids its very nice to help them learn to skate when Im not falling around too

Great place for all to have fun. I would give them 5 stars but i have a few observations: 1- they need to segregate small kids from teens and grownups. Maybe an expansion if possible. There is a high risk level at the momen. From a legal standpoint it is a ticking bomb. Although refs do a great job, it feels really unsafe for kids a novice skaters. 2- segregate kids and novice skaters. Via expansion or create a schedule for novice and kids. Other than that, the place is great!

Fun time for the kids. We were there for a birthday party. Clean considering the amount of kiddos running around. They have cool devices for the littles to use while they are learning to skate and they had a different type of skate that helped our kids get the hang of it easier but I had to ask for it so keep that in mind if you need it. My favorite thing was that they let parents walk on the skating rink (no charge for entry unless you are actually skating) which makes the learning phase more enjoyable and much safer. The staff is young but helpful and had good energy. It s close by our house and we look forward to going again.

We paid $250 for my daughters birthday party which would ve been fine EXCEPT we were miserably HOT. Like even just sitting at the table we were burning up, pouring sweat. It was also super over crowded. There s no way there should be that many people allowed in there at once. 8 Birthdays parties going on at once plus open to the public. Some of our smaller kids weren t even able to skate because there wasn t enough of the walker/skate assist things (White triangle pvc) for them. They ran out of pizza for people to buy like from the moment they opened. Refills are $2! Employees helped clean up after the party was done which was nice. I seen another review stating that they order their pizzas from little Caesar s? (Rollerrink responded to said review stating that they in fact do order from little Caesars.) I don t think ours was from Little Caesar s BUT if it is, do not charge me $16 for a $6 pizza. Roller rink also stated that they wouldn t allow people in with outside food but upon my arrival the party before me was walking out with pizza box s from i think, Pizza Hut. Sign says no short shorts but there was a teenager with her butt hanging out with lots of small kids around. Party next to us was all over our party tables, leaning on our tables and just invading our party space.

I love coming out there. Its really close to home and its a lot of fun skating out there. Ive been going out there for a little over a year now, since August 5th, and i go every friday night. I love all of the staff members and most of the skaters who go out there. I am hoping to get a job out there soon . I really do suggest coming out the this rink if youre looking for a safe place to skate and hangout with friends and family. And the prices are great! The food is amazing, the staff members are all so sweet, and the music is great to skate to. I learned how to skate here and i do not regret it whatsoever

This skating rink is about 35 minutes from my home. It is well worth the drive! Owner is pleasant and welcoming. Very reasonably priced for a skating pass on a weekend, only $13! No up-charge for inline skates. No cover charge for spectating. The music was very recent and modern. We had a great time!

Unfortunately the ac decided to go out but that wasnt there fault, they did everything they could had extra fans out for everyone even gave everyone free passes for a later date. I love this place! Had my daughters birthday party there and it was such a smooth process from the booking to the actual check in the day of. The lady up front with classes was an absolute gem with exceptional customer service skills that truly made me feel at peace. We got our food on the dot for the time slot wed selected and my family truly enjoyed themselves. Even though the place was crowded with a ton of birthday parties it was still very calm and peaceful. I honestly love this Roller rink... There have been a few downs (in 2021 I sprained my wrist here and yesterday ( 1-20-2023) I went skating with a bunch of friends ( I think our school organized it) and I asked for a size 8 1/2 or 9.... I got a 6. I know have a huge blister on my foot) but after all of that I had SO much fun, Ive never had a problem with the staff or food. I did fall a few times but that would be because Im NOT very good.

Took my granddaughter skating. This is an older skating rink. Not very big, but suited the purpose for someone learning to skate. Need to update their choice in music. Didnt eat anything there! As the teenager who checked us in coughed into hands and then handled the wrist bands. Also saw her pick up french fries sitting under the heat lamp and eat them!

Brought back childhood memories of going to the roller rink. The staff really seemed to care and provided an excellent, memorable experience for my nieces birthday with our family. Their roller skates and rollerblades all seemed to be in good shape and functioning properly. If you stay later in the afternoon there are skating and sock races for kids of all ages. We all had a blast and even the adults left injury-free... though a bit tired and sore. Definitely recommended!

Cool place but my daughter got ran over 2 times from kids skating backwards without paying attention .the refs with the whistle don t care so if you go put skates on and guard your daughter at all times! I only blocked 1 of 3 collisions. I can tell you safety for the little ones is no concern whatsoever.

This place was AMAZING. and i mean it. the reason this is not 5 stars is because of 2 things. 1: it is called RAINBOW roller rink, and there was not a SINGLE COLOR on the outside of the building. 2: During the halloween costume contest, there are three awards: the best girls costume, the best boys costume, and the most unique costume. for the third award the ENTIRE crowd was chanting for the horse to win. but what did the judges do? the had the AUDACITY to give the award to a baby dressed as a butterfly! why?! i dont know they just dont appreciate unique costume ideas. and you know what the award was? Off brand FREAKING airpods. i had a good experience though.

This skating rink is the BEST skating rink in North Houston hands down. From the presentation of the rink to the staff service. I rented out the rink for a private party and the staff were AMAZING with customer service. The staff helped me blow up balloons and set up for my daughter s party since you only have 30 minutes to decorate before the party starts at 6p. They kept the pizza warm in the oven and helped my diverse party every step of the way. I was just floored at how great this place treated us. They asked me what type of music I wanted and I just never had someone ask us let alone give us the option. We had a Halloween themed birthday party and they already had such awesome Halloween deco up, lights and a video screen. Hate that I can t upload a video for you to see. Most importantly I left my daughter birthday candles at home and they gave me some candles and a lighter to sing happy birthday and saved the moment/day!! This will be the ONLY place my family will be going to from now on! They really helped my daughter s party exceed my expectations that she cried she was so happy! Thank you!!!!

We love Rainbow Roller Rink! The rink floor is smooth, the rental skates are in good condition, the restrooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. My daughter and I visited last night for her first time to skate and I think she is hooked.
