It felt as if they were keeping her comfortable till she passed, even worse that they couldn t treat her when she had a seizure! My grandfather had to call 911 and have an ambulance come to save her because the staff didn t know what to do or provide any sort of care. Not to mention the poor family who we spoke to that said the nurses gave their family member the wrong medication, messing up his father s liver! Had to take my grandma back to Memorial Herman where she s recovered almost 2 months later and is back home. The staff at PAM Rehabilitation Center have been notified of the negligence and will be discussing it on their own because they themselves wouldn t want to recommend this place to their patients.

The rehab side of it excellent medical side awful. My dad had a catheter the doctor never bothered to say it needed to be changed and none of the nurses ever said anything either. They told us he had a UTI they were going to give him some antibiotic. after my dad left the place he ended up in the hospital for two weeks because the UTI was so severe. There was no need for that if they had paid attention and done their job .

My Grandma was at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital Conroe for almost a month! The Hospital staff from the Nurses to the doctors were so kind to her, one of the main doctors that cared for her really touched a place in her heart. She prayed with her anytime my grandma would ask Dr. P. They truly treated her like she was a family member of theirs. If I ever had the option to choose I would choose them.

Families who have patients here, please be very careful with your loved ones. Unfortunately, almost all of the staff try to make their patient die faster than God commands. They do not do things as they should. My family member was there and they took away his oxygen so that he could The faster he would die, please be aware of his family member.

My sister was in Cornerstone for over a month. The nurses and doctors are excellent but the Care Specialists is horrible. The doctors have to do what the Specialists says. My sister took a turn for the worst while she was there. The doctor called me. I told him I didnt want her to transition in Conroe. I asked him would he transfer her back to her home town. He said yes. Someone was talking to him ( I could hear them over the phone) and told him the Care Specialists had to make that decision. The Care Specialists had told me when she was admitted they wanted her to stay to a certain date. Well they kept her to one day after that date. The medical staff is great. They took very good care of my sister but the Care Specialists needs to be gone. I think l dont know for sure but I think they had already billed her insurance and didnt want to return the money because she was being discharged early. Like I said the doctors and nurses are excellent They did what she went there for. The Care Specialists needs to be fired

From seeing us before his transfer, taking me on a guided tour of the place, to continuing to check on us through his stay and beyond. Nurses there are amazing, can t say enough about how helpful case management is, even after you leave. The staff really has a place in my heart forever.

I think there care is unmatched in the area an the front office people were great with paperwork an helping you understand what was going on with your care an billing. I would recommend before the bigger hospitals I refer to them as a specialty hospital because they fix what others cant or what they have missed or messed up on.

What a way to treat a patient that was going through an health challenge. Also some nurses does not watch patients properly! I just left Cornerstone and I would just like to say that I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone needing long-term care. I was well pleased with the care I received while I was there. The staff was very polite and the physical therapy team was excellent! The nurses were some of the most caring nurses Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting in any of my hospital stays. They genuinely seemed to care and was always more than happy to answer any questions I had. The food was good and anytime I needed anything the sraff were more than happy to help. I would also like to say that all the Drs there were excellent as well. I couldnt have asked for any better Drs. They did a great job of explaining any medications that I was taking and were always very polite when speaking to me. They came around every morning to check on me and to see how I was doing and to make sure I was comfortable and ok.One of my nurses was one of the best nurses Ive ever had out of all my hospital stays. Mr. Ray Duplantis has been my nurse for the past 3 or 4 days and I have to say that I wish all my nurses could be like him. When he came on shift he would write on the board what time my medication was due and I never had to push the button to ask him to bring it. He was always very prompt and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. Thank you Mr Duplantis and thank you Cornerstone for making my stay a pleasant and comfortable one

The staff put me right at ease and they even took care of me when I stayed with him. Made sure I ate. Which was very sweet of them. Dawn was our case manager and she did an amazing job. She made sure that we had everything we needed and helped me with the insurance. The PT and OT therapists did a faniminal job with him. When he was admitted he could only sit up, stand up and walk with someone holding onto him. He can now do that by himself. Tha k you Cornerstone you guys are great! I highly recommend this facility.

I bonded with so many of the nurses, CNAs and RT employees I was borderline sad to leave. If your loved one is on a ventilator with a trach this is THE place to take them. Sondra and her RT team winged me off the ventilator when I thought I would never come off of it. Along with God, these people are miracle workers. This place is horrible and unprofessional. Dawn and Donna were my mother s case mangers. My mother had an ulcer that they were treating at Cornerstone. I asked them for facilities and I told them that I wanted to appeal her early release. They asked me to wait until the following week. The following week came and it wasn t a good week. I had a car accident, my wife and son were infected with covid-19, and I became the main caregiver my family of five. Instead of offering their empathy they began to harass me via phone and email. They even gave a nursing home my number without my consent. I filed the appeal as they requested but they didn t even submit the discharge paperwork. Donna then proceeded to harass my sister while she was visiting my mother. Telling my sister how I hung up the phone in her face. Donna told my sister a total of five times that I hung up on in her face. Instead of properly caring for my mother she was giving my sister nursing homes for my mother to be transferred. I spoke with some staff and they informed me that my mother should stay their longer and that other white patients with her same type of bedsore stayed their for months. I think they want my mother removed because she is Black. My mother has Medicare with AARP and she doesn t pay any copays. I didn t believe it when I heard about the difference in the way Blacks are treated versus Whites. Oh and the Doctor even called me told me I should think about hospice and take my mother off antibiotics. Don t take your loved ones here.

I can not say enough about this hospital. Every single nurse was very considerate of your needs. Had the best attention and care. The techs were all so loving and nice even the kitchen staff and especially the girl who answered the nurse button. Always made sure I was taken care of. The wound care nurse is the best in Texas honestly I can say that because I was at a different hospital and they tried multiple times to get the wound vac to seal with no accomplishment. Janet (the wound care) nurse had no problem fixing me up. If you need long term care this is the place. The only draw back is they only have a few channels on the tv so bring your laptop and netflix passwords. lol The food is really good too. Just overall everyone there including the doctors were very attentive. If I had to place a family member or I would have to have long term care again (god forbid) this is my choice. I was there from April 28-May 27 so I know. They ended up being my family for a month. I would give 10 stars if I could and I actually miss the people there.

Also the staff was very solicitous of my needs as the visiting spouse and listened to my suggestions for her care. My wife suffers from MS and I have been her caretaker and have developed techniques to handle her care which were incorporated by the staff. The intake and case managers were also extremely helpful in navigating the insurance landscape to get us the approval for her needed care. Lastly, the kitchen staff is generally unheralded but at Cornerstone, for hospital food, I found it to be very good and with sufficient variety to avoid being boring. The meals were nutritious, tasty and well balanced.

I recently had a close friend who was in ICU at Cornerstone Conroe and I cant praise them enough. Each and every staff member, from dietary to the House Supervisor, the entire group of physicians involved in her care and the administration department were exceptional. They went above and beyond to provide excellent care with compassion, while being extremely empathetic of her situation. She had a longer than expected hospital stay prior to transferring here and was not in great spirits. After admitting here, she immediately started rehab in the ICU. They encouraged her and pushed her to do a little more each time and she was able to make a complete turnaround and was downgraded from ICU to a medical floor bed, then to home!! She was so thankful and grateful because her transferring facility really focused on her going to SNF or a nursing home after LTACH, which really upset her. Thank you all for taking such incredible care of my friend and being so understanding of not only her medical needs and personal medical goals, but her desire to maintain her personal independence once again. You are a true blessing!!

We had no clue (NEVER TOLD) that our loved one s stay here was very temporary. Came to visit, the wound care nurse accidentally let it slip that patient was transferring that day. (To a facility that the head doctor was on the board of... how convenient!). We weren t given notice, so we had no choice in the matter. He was transferred, we should have been informed of the progress and the process. As I was leaving facility, caseworkers called out that they had talked to my husband in the phone to let him know what was going on with his Dad and they wanted us to know. My response, Oh! It was the opinion of our local hospital that our Mother would receive better care at this facility. This was not the case. When a patient is immobile and cannot get up and take care of themselves, they need and should be checked on constantly. This did not happen. It would be hours between visits by the nurse or any employee of the facility. Even after my Mother was healed of the reason she was sent to the facility, they did not want to release her. It felt they were keeping her hostage. She is now home, safe and happy.

My father in-law was in hospice care at this location. The staff was very compassionate and treated him and us with respect and honor. They made a very difficult life event as comfortable as possible.

This was the next step in my fathers care after a month in the hospital with complications of pneumonia. Staff and physical therapist were very friendly, attentive, probably more than the hospital even. As with all healthcare establishments, you have to ask questions and stay involved daily. A positive experience for my family.
