We used Vernele s for our special wedding day. The cake was beautiful and delicious but a little flimsy. That was probably our only complaint. We had to do the cake tasting way before the wedding started. A HUGE THANK YOU to Sierra Catering for helping us level out the cake and keep it steady!!

Verneles was so easy to work with to consult over the phone about a cake I wanted designed for my sisters baby shower. They were able to get the cake made with under a months notice, and they did the most beautiful job. The cake was definitely a main centerpiece for the shower and it tasted delicious!

My husband and I elected to do a small cake just for us to cut, but had a hard time finding a bakery that could help us out without us having to be present (dual military from Texas, currently living in Alaska, planned a wedding in Texas) Verneles was incredibly responsive, answered all our questions, and delivered on time! I ordered a wedding cake through Verneles for my wedding this past week. There was a mishap with the order form, and my order never ended up getting properly filed due to a disgruntled past employee. Things happen, and I understand that. What made the difference was Shelby went out of her way and made sure that we got a cake in a very short amount of time (about 10 minutes). The cake itself was delicious. I still wish that I couldve gotten to try the apple pie flavor, but theres always other celebrations. The cakes here are great so definitely give them a shot! I would give 5 stars but the unfortunate circumstance led to the 4 star.

Delicious and beautiful custom cake with hands down customer service. I had a custom cake request with just 3 days notice. I was very anxious and was not sure if I can get the cake I wanted within that time frame. They were quick to respond, answered all my questions and were generous enough to take the order on such small notice. The cake was EXACTLY what I ordered. It was indeed a very nice experience working with them.

I got a Po boy! The fried shrimp is good by itself. The bread was huge! I was shocked. The service was not the best. The gal made some reccomendations,She needs to know the menu better. The chef brought me my food. I told him thank you an got no response... an the gal at the front never asked me how my meal was. I like the New Orleans look the resturant has. Thats what drew me in. Hopefully the Owners Will train the employees more to do better customer service. This was my first time trying this resturant out. I expected some decent customer service an the service was not that good.

I ordered a gluten free 40 plus persons birthday cake with chocolate and vanilla and buttercream icing . This cake was supposed to have cheetah/Leppard print design with multiple coloring added. On top of this cake not looking at all like Id hoped, it was very dry. Almost like it was missing an ingredient. My issue here is that I paid for a cake I did not get. The cake had ugly brown polka dots and 2 fake purple flowers at the top. I spent over $120.00 . We were all hugely disappointed in presentation as well as flavor. I ordered this cake 3 weeks ago. This cake was poorly slapped together and I feel ripped off.

We chose Verneles New Orleans Bakery and Cafe to make our wedding cake, and they did not disappoint. Shelby made and delivered an amazing cake, 4 tiers with different flavors. It was divine and looked exactly as wed hoped it would. On top of that, she did an amazing job placing the flowers on the cake. We were so pleased with how it turned out. We also love that we will get a fresh small tier on our first anniversary. We look forward to our next opportunity to devour the delicious cake by Shelby and Verneles.

Just left and service was awful. Never greeted, or even acknowledged at all. They would look at us and walk right by. When we did order cupcakes were awful dry dry dry . Took one bite and we threw it away, same with the brownie it tasted like it was a few days old. Hopefully the cookies we bought are better! Headed to Pizza Shack best cupcakes around!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I paid in full for my wedding cake. 2 months prior to the wedding I had to cancel the order since she did not deliver to my location. Owner said I would be refunded yet it s been 2 months and I have not seen a dime. I have called and emailed multiple times and she is now ignoring me. Nothing on website or invoice stated anything about no refunds.

Was really disappointed with my cake. It was cute but honestly I could ve bought the exact same thing at Walmart for half the price. The icing was gross so we tried to eat around the icing and just eat the cake, but it was so dry it was hard to swallow without a drink. The cake was a birthday cake for my husband and he acted like he liked it to protect my feelings, but after we actually tasted it, we just ended up tossing it in the garbage. Super disappointed and a waste of 40 dollars and gas for the 30 minute drive it took to get there.

Had purchased multiple cupcakes from here and they were delicious. I purchased a specialized cake for my mom for Mothers Day and, it was disgusting! Cake was super dry and the icing tasted like pure butter. All of the cake went straight into the trash can. Called to complain and my husband and I were given attitude by staff. *Update* As for the comment as to why I left the review after stating I wouldnt is because, GOOGLE MAPS keeps asking for an honest review of your business. I had hopes this would be my go to bakery for all occasions but, after the cake we were given and the attitude we received we decided it was best to never return. We literally called your bakery while being in the middle of the party to inform your staff of the situation. When we called to inform your staff the cake was disgusting, your staff acted as if we were liars. I never asked for a free cake, a refund, replacement cake, or free cupcakes. That should have shown you that our call was sincere and honest, onsidering I wanted nothing from your company except a sincere apology, not the condescending one we were given by one of your staff members. Im not out to ruin your business Im just giving my honest experience. Your cakes might be amazing like your cupcakes once were but, that isnt what we received. My money was wasted and my mom was left without a cake on a day that we got together to celebrate her Mothers Day. The M (initial for her name) had to be redone not ONCE but twice and, then we were infirmed due to the colors the M could no longer be fixed. I had rated this place a 5 star at one time, along with my immediate family to help draw people to your bakery as well as I, recommended your bakery to my close friends and family. I truly loved this place up until we had our horrible experience.

The menu seems quite impressive, but this was only my first visit to this business. I will certainly be back again. The staff was very friendly during my brief interaction with them.. the place is well decorated, and very clean. I ordered their chicken tender basket on a recommendation from a friend. Omg...horrible cappuccino...we ordered 2 vanilla and so excited to contribute to downtown conroe small business...we left and found ourselves almost throwing up after 2 sips...we found nearest trash can ...I called 20 minutes latter to tell ownership how terrible our coffee was and person I spoke to seemed not at all concerned..she said it wasnt normal...she wanted to leave it as such until I asked if she could fix it and then she said next time ask for her and mention ...horrible..youd think she would have gone beyond thunderdome to rectify and make it right...so anyways I recommend if needing an experience strolling downtown conroe with a cup of coffee go to McDonalds or nearest gas station first

We stopped in for some drinks and sweets. While the lemonade was good, the cupcake we had was truly awful. It had to have been a week old. After reading about this place in the Impact I tried it today. There was a menu on the wall and a paper menu given to me by the cashier. I ordered a box lunch. My sandwich was ok but cheese was left off. When I was paying I saw a 10% discount for seniors but since she already rang me up it was to late. I tried to access their wi fi but needed a password. Couldnt find anyone to get it from. The music was upbeat. As I was leaving I saw a new item menu on the wall. It would have been nice to be told about that before I ordered.

Didnt have a good first impression, and they werent very busy. Update to manager response. I wish I could post the picture I just took. I ordered the food between 11 and 12 to go. Its now 3 oclock as Im writing this. I ordered multiple things but I did not eat the salad I ordered immediately and thats what Im referring to. You website mentions housemade dressings but what I got was packaged Kens. The salad was the apple pecan gorganzola and there was no gorganzola. I would have brought it to their attention but as I said I did not eat it immediately. Also the girls preparing everything werent communicating well so I sat waiting on it longer than I had to. One started it and the other brought part directly to me, not a big deal but I just did not have a great first impression.

OMG the chocolate cake!! This little shop is wonderful! They were very hospitable and accommodated our extra person, gave us a variety of tastings for our wedding cake selection. Hot chocolate was yummy and breakfast sandwich was delish. Ill update when I get my wedding cake pictures.

My dad brought a few pies for Thanksgiving and they were FANTASTIC! The pecan pie was the best I ever had, and the apple crumble was so tasty. There were also sugar free options, which is so thoughtful and they were just as yummy as the regulars!

As much as I love to support non-chain bakeries, I should have known better. I even asked if they were baked that day (because honestly, they looked dry) and her reply was they were baked fresh. Well they must have been baked fresh a few days ago. It was dry and spongie and inedible. Wasted $3.00 and some change. Now to go find something to get that taste out of my mouth.

I had to write this review after our 2nd order for birthday cakes. The first was a custom Vanilla and Cinnamon, 6 inch naked cake. OMG, by far the best cake Ive ever eaten. The birthday girl said she had it for breakfast until it was gone. Second cake was a custom Italian cream with Kalua added into the icing and Malibu rum added to cake batter. It was also a very moist and delicious naked cake. Also, both decorated beautifully. First experience with this bakery but it wont be our last. Amy was so nice and very accommodating A great little find.

Comfortable atmosphere, and good value. Personal service from friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good for family and small groups, but seems mainly geared toward professional staff reflective of location near County Courthouse and Law Offices. Clean restroom, but is just one facility for all customers. Observing COVID19 protocols, but maintains a professional and service level that I appreciated during my visit. Parking is somewhat limited; like all of Downtown Conroe; but walking distance in the area poses no real hardship or nuisance (except of course for heavy weather days). Ill be back, feel free to widen your world and at least make one visit, Im sure it will be a positive experience for all.

This is my second purchase from her and I couldnt be happier! This time I ordered assorted pastries for my baby shower and everything was perfect. All my guests commented on how good everything was and there was barely any leftovers,which I very gladly took care of ;) Ill definitely be using making more purchases in the future.

First off, Linda is an amazing woman. She did my wedding cake and helped me through the process. During the tasting it was actually difficult to choose our flavors because they were all so good! She also delivered all the way in Galveston and set it up. The cake was so beautiful and delicious, all the guests loved it! I would definitely recommend Verneles!!

Horrible!!! They never showed up to my daughters wedding with the wedding cake! Did not answer our calls the day of. We had to call from different phones to get them to pick up their phone and when they finally answered all we got was an Im sorry we had the wrong date but we will give you a full refund. Verneles Bakery provided the cake for my wedding and it was a huge hit. Linda did a fantastic job that exceeded our expectations.
