No frills, counter order, seat yourself restaurant featuring hefty portions of delicious freshly made TexMex. Tacos are humongous, one is plenty unless you re a college athlete. Great variety of condiments. The Mexican corn is fantastic! We ve had breakfast tacos, brisket, pollock, shrimp, fried chicken and pulled pork too. Something for everyone with vegetarian options. This is a place my wife and I love to go to when in College Station. Ever since our sons introduced us a couple of years ago, we have been hooked. The variety is outstanding, with some combinations making you go, hmmm. Every one of those we have tried has been amazing. Even our granddaughter, who is 13 and not yet an adventurous eater, found their french fries and queso was just as good as our tacos. Service has always been quick and friendly, even when it is packed. If you get the chance, I think you will enjoy it all.

Stopped by on our drive home. The place was crowded as College is starting back up. The service is fast and the food was really good. They do have a drive through and I would use that seeing how quick they were. I had the Golly Miss Molly and it was full of meat. My husband had the South Padre and he really enjoyed it. He did say it didnt need quite as much sauce but next time he just ask them to light on the sauce. We shared the guacamole and it was awesome.

Husband and I called to order to go. It was a bit busy on the phone so we decided to do drive through instead (which seemed easier). I got the Dr. Pepper Cowboy and The King. Both were tasty, but the flavor was a bit overwhelming. My husband got the Fuel for Fitness bowl and that was actually amazing. We visited and parking was really bad. Small, weird lot with overflow parking in an old Pizza Hut lot. It was very busy and warm in the restaurant. Cashier was not very friendly. Food was ok. I had the South Padre without the tartar sauce (Im allergic to eggs) and it was the better of the tacos I had because it wasnt drowning in cheese, queso, or sauce. I also had the Rock Star which had way too much sauce/cheese on it-I guess it was in the chipotle cream corn. I think Im just more of a taco purist and dont care for tons of stuff on my tacos. We wanted to try it because of all the great reviews but for us it was a miss.

I really like this place because they have unique selections of tacos and food that you can t find anywhere else. They also have an authentic Mexican food taste too, which is hard to find in College Station. I always go through the drive-through because I have a little one and it s super convenient and fast, especially on Sunday mornings everybody s getting out of church and wanting breakfast. Second visit was a let down. I ordered two different tacos that come with fried shrimp. The tortillas were cold and chewy and the fixings were half warm and half ice cold... Im assuming the warm part was the shrimp. There were no limes, cilantro and very little salsa at the salsa bar. I managed the serve myself enough of the roasted salsa which was very good. I really want to try their breakfast menu but I cant see myself spending any more money here. Im disappointed to say that Torchys is much better in terms of quality and Torchys isnt even that great. The staff at Fuego are absolutely amazing and its the food that has been disappointing. This place will survive though. They dont need customers like me and as I said before college kids will eat anything. They might even still dine here if the tortillas were made of cardboard. First visit: I will say that Im glad they do not offer alcohol or beer at this establishment and that this is a safe place for college kids to eat, hang out, and have fun. What can you say about the actual food. Tacos are decent. Typical college taco restaurant. You cant expect much more. College kids will eat anything. Its super close to the university so not much effort required from the service provider other than making sure they keep the tacos coming for the hordes of college student that line up out the door...

My top pick for tacos in College Station. Their guacamole is some of the best in the area, and they are willing to make modifications if you ask (ex. removing cilantro). Their chicken tortilla soup is delicious, its more than just broth and a tiny bit of chicken. They load the bowl up with avocado, veggies, tortilla chips, and tons of chicken. Their tacos are also delicious. I like their tacos with mac and cheese, so the Green Chile and the Dodge City are my recommendations! Parking: They have two parking lots, one is in front of the restaurant and one is across the street.
