Could not wait to eat here. Read some good reviews B4. I was very disappointed. I had 3 meets, brisket was ok with hardly any flavor, jalapeno cheese sausage was chemical tasting kinda like fake meat and I could not finish it and the ribs were good but not the best. At $20 not worth it at all! I flew into Austin on Sunday pretty much from Germany. Stopped at a Buc-ees along the way here to CS and had a brisket sandwich. It was a whole lot better with great taste. Sorry C&J, staff friendly but food not so good. Probably an off day.

I stopped in to pick up food for people that didn t have power from the hurricane. I asked them to put a few pieces of ice in a plastic bag to keep the potato salad and coleslaw cold while I drove over an hour to deliver food and they would not do that for me. Not very customer service friendly. It s a shame because the food was good.

Service = good. Brisket = good. Macaroni = good. Okra = good. Bread = a little rubbery. Banana Pudding = a tragedy (except the for the actual banana slices). 0/10. Got two for me and the wife, and we threw them both away should ve gotten more Okra. Pudding texture and flavor are both pretty terrible, and definitely not worth eating/buying.

Honestly, the food is alright. I keep coming back cause its consistently good brisket and jalapeño sausage. But the service here is not that great. I had the manager helping me out, and I was asking what was in the green bean casserole because I have dietary restrictions, and he just had me repeating the question for like 5 min cause all he could respond with its a casserole man idk what to tell you. Aside from that, the food is good enough to keep me coming back.

Well let me tell yall about this here bbq place. C&J has some really good food. The potato salad is awesome and the ranch potatoes are really good too (wish they offered brown gravy with the ranch potatoes because that would have gotten them the fifth star). The brisket was pretty good though I would have rathered it have a little more fat on it. The Mac and cheese was awesome, and the cobbler was ok. The tea was excellent and fresh. Over all it was a pleasant experience. Food wise, I give it a fatman rating of a 7.5 out of 10. Definitely worth the money.

Horrible. I was going to try the sliced brisket and was given a good sample taste. I decided to order the brisket, But was given it from the back of the rack with a completely different look, smell and taste. The brisket was dry and not tender at all. The potato I had gotten was sour, and molding. The corn that I tried wasn t bad, but had a bitterness or tangy taste to it. Fried Okra was great though. Really need to improve on most items. When you are served it looks like a middle school hot lunch. Very disappointed on the result. My family was just visiting from Seattle, and were looking forward to getting BBQ, but we were very disappointed and upset. My mom had gotten sick with food poisoning from the ribs. First, and last time coming here. I will not be returning or recommending this to ANYONE because they will be disappointed as much as we were. Get a new business.

Probably in my top three BBQ restaurant chains I have ever eaten at...though I am hard pressed at this moment to remember what the other two are. The BBQ is pretty good, but it is their sauce(especially the spicy one) that puts it over the top. The sides are very good as well. Everything was good as usual but the macaroni salad just didnt taste like it has in the past. It seems as though the noodles were a day or two old because all of the other ingredients tasted on point. Pretty disappointing when the side of macaroni salad was $13 and not edible. Having recently moved down here from Alaska, Ive embarked on a quest to find the best restaurants in College Station. While there are SO many wonderful options, Id have to say C&Js is definitely in my top 5. My first experience was a succulent turkey leg at Chili Fest earlier this year. Ive been sold ever since. From the ribs, the chicken, mac salad, smoked sausage...I just cant get enough. The portions are generous, the food hot, fresh and wonderfully seasoned, and the staff are always helpful. I have to get extra coleslaw to take home because its my favorite thing on the menu, or just order a large helping on doordash. Chef kiss.

We timed our trip to stop and eat in College Station. C&J BBQ was the place to go. The slice beef plate was tender and juicy. I told the owner so as he happened by and was checking on one of his restaurants to be sure things were working as he intended. As he told us, he was probably the highest paid bus boy in town. That commitment keeps the staff on their toes and his kids who run the dad to day know their DAD is still around.

The worse BBQ Ive ever ate. The ribs were less seasoned, less tender it did not fall off the bone, it had too much fat, and was over price for 2 ribs. The brisket was dry, was not tender, and was bland. The burnt ends were tuff and it tasted like it was cooked with cayenne , ginger and cinnamon. The sides I chose were the mash potatoes which tasted weird and the green beans were bland and their BBQ sauce they gave me was trash it tasted like straight ketchup.

Great spot, no table service, order in a line, pay and sit down with your food. Classic BBQ joint smell that knocks you senses back a step as you take it in. Will be going back if Im ever in town again.

OMG I tried them greens and they are the bomb, so good I wanna slap my son (but I didnt, didnt want to catch a case, lol). Thank you employees ya have done a great job and very knowledgeable, keep up the great work

Well, most of my BBQ-preference for lunch friends are either this place, Martins, maybe Codys for the sides ... Coopers still a must to try. Amazed at their loyalty to C&Js. Never has this been a grand adventure for me over decades of trials and locations. Cafeteria atmosphere Sausage cool & undercooked Brisket better be chopped, otherwise a bit tough, cannot compare the past legends Ribs pedestrian ... top drawer fare can be had at Roadhouse, WingsNmore Sides may have improved as a draw, if the radio ads are true

You have to hold their hand and talk really slow then double check your order just to make sure you get all your food. Glad you guys charged me for food I didnt get.
