First time visiting Angie s. Was staying at Air BnB for a concert. Read that Angie s had good reviews so we tried it. It was good but didn t offer tortillas with our plate. Still enjoyed the food. It was good. Also not used to eating rice for breakfast. Being from San Antonio TX I have never had that.

Best food ever hands down. I had the beef fajitas, white queso, and sampler appetizer. Taquitos were bussin. Churros were off the chain,, FYI, be careful :) Great attentive service from Vanessa, she was super sweet and on the ball. Highly recommend. Will be returning!

We received prompt service and were practically full from the delicious tomatillo sauce and chili con queso before our main meals arrived. And yet we ate everything that arrived. The tortillas are perfect thin and almost crispy with tender fajita beef in side the taco al carbon. Delicious crispy flautas and a bit of quesadilla rounded out my combo platter. And I also had a side of fluffy rice and rich charro beans. We all compared the food to the same pricier options at places like El Tiempo Cantina. The place itself is nothing amazing from the outside, but the inside is cozy yet festive. The only concern is that they need to fix the air conditioning. We ll be back soon!

Food was delicious. The places very cute. The girls were very friendly and very attentive. The menu is very extensive. They have just about everything. The other mexican restaurant has plus some. My only negative is they dont have regular margaritas. They have wine based margaritas, so I. Decided to just have water. I love to have a Margarita with my Mexicans food. But other than that, I was my only complaint.

Since we moved here, we ve struggled to find solid Mexican food that checked all the boxes for us. We re not big fans of the heated salsa nor Tex-Mex in general. Most places lack good seasoning overall. However, this place is really good! In fact, it s honestly way better than what we ve tried over the last couple years. It s a simple, unassuming place tucked in the corner of a strip mall in downtown Conroe but don t let the lack of glitz and glam fool you! The food is really great and the service is very friendly. I judge how good a Mexican restaurant is based on their house salsa, hottest salsa and their carnitas. All were excellent with great flavor! So much on their menu to choose from that you re sure to find something you ll love (even for the Tex-Mex fans). We will ABSOLUTELY be back!!!

We came for breakfast tacos, hoping it was close to the ones we got in Corpus. These tacos did not disappoint! Salsa was on point, and the barbacoa was bomb. Everything tasted fresh, and the serving sizes were great. Our service was perfect, and food came out quick. I cant wait to come back for lunch or dinner sometime soon. My wife, daughter and I were in the area and looked up best Mexican food in Conroe. Angie s came up as the best. We were not disappointed! The menu is like an encyclopedia of Mexican cuisine. We all selected something different. Tacos Al Carbon (beef), Cheese Enchiladas, and Beef Street Tacos. All were excellent! The service was exceptional! Friendly, fast, and attentive! The atmosphere was perfect, both music and decor. The restroom was spotless! If we re back in the area, we will definitely return. Thank you Angie s for such an enjoyable dining experience!!

This little hole on the wall will definitely surprise you. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. As soon as you step in you get greeted with a hello and a smile. Which to me, means a lot, the food can be good but if the service is bad it can for sure ruin the appetite. When they bring chips and salsa I recommend asking for spicy green. Very delicious ! They have homemade drinks. Jamaica, limonada, and horchata. I went with horchata. It was great! I got the Kamilah a sea and turf combo. The shrimps have a wonderful taste of garlic and lemon. Neither flavor over powering the other. The chicken and beef, on top of grilled onions, cooked to such a tender perfection! Plus home made tortillas! Guys and gals you will not be disappointed! What a hidden secret! The chips are hot, thin, and crispy. The environment is colorful with authentic Mexican decor. Fresh and homemade, from the tortillas to the hot sauce. Amazing flautas and the most tender tacos al carbon we ve eaten. A refreshing change from local chains with long waits. If you like Mexican food, you ll love this place. The sopapillas were the perfect choice for a light dessert! We ll be back. Just be sure theyre going to be open before you drive there. They close earlier than most restaurants and the hours seem to vary by day. Weve actually show up twice right before they were closing and were pleasantly encouraged to leave.

Great small place for a hot, decent mexican meal. Met a girlfriend for lunch a few days ago. Had the Enchiladas Verdes, and their tomatillo salsa is really fantastic. Not a chain restaurant so the atmosphere is a little more down-home. Parking is the only area where they might need to improve but thats not really the fault of the restaurant.

The tacos were good, as were the beans and rice. I enjoyed the casual atmosphere as much as the food. Staff were attentive but not overly so. I will be back to check out other menu options. Update 7/12/23: I have now eaten here several times and have yet to be disappointed. I have had the guisado (excellent), huevos ranchero ( also excellent), cheese enchiladas and beef enchiladas and of course crispy tacos. Always great quality and portion sizes are spot on. What a great place to eat! The food is amazing and the portion sizes are generous. Everything is priced nicely and the service is warm and friendly. I ordered the mixed fajita plate for lunch and I was impressed. Meat was perfect and they brought it to me sizzling with some fresh corn and flour tortillas. Honestly I knew it was going to be a top notch place once I tried the salsa. While eating I noticed that many of the customers coming in for lunch were regulars. Another great sign.. A small but must visit Mexican Restaurant serving traditional dishes, Tex-Mex, seafood, breakfast, and a variety of margaritas. Tortillas are homemade, always a huge plus, and food is like your grandma or mom prepares. It seats around 50 people. They do catering and serve many to-go orders.

Oh my dear L ord. A true taste of Mexico. I judge Mexican restaurants by two things that can only be done well with soul and love. Chile Rellenos and Fajitas are neither difficult to construct yet do take love and care in making to order, and I finished my Rellenos and some Fajitas which is why the picture is empty plates which isnt common for me and my party. This place cares and loves their pratrons. Youd have to be a real douche canoe to cause these folks to not serve some of the best Mexican food Ive experienced this way of El Paso. They have a red and green salsa both mild and caliente. Try them all. Their Texmex sucks, thank the L ord, so stay away from things such as nachos yet the desserts are spot on and make you wish you had a Mexican Mother to relate to. If you live in Conroe Tx and have disserviced yourself by not eating here then support your locals and your belly by loving these fine folks with your money and spreading the word. Cheers!

Vanessa was our great waitress at Angie s! She took such good care of us! We love Angie s! It s around the corner and has the best sampler platter around. Los memos is our favorite combo dish, it s listed in the photos! During our lunch we got to see the authentic and loving happy birthday song and celebration that the staff sings for guests, even the chef was out there singing. It was a really cool experience. This spot is great for a quick lunch!

This place is such a hidden gem in Conroe!!!! The atmosphere is small but perfectly cute and cozy and clean! The staff is so welcoming and friendly and during a busy lunch rush they never missed a beat! We never waited for anything. The food was so fresh and delicious! My husband is vegetarian and they had some of the best veggie fajitas!! They were seasoned perfectly!!! So was my sons chicken fajita taco and the French fries!! We also had the queso blanco and the chunky quac! And they have an amazing green salsa! I cannot recommend this place enough! We don t live in Conroe but we will be back when we are craving Mexican food!!

My husband & I stopped here traveling from the coast back to Fort Worth. We love authentic Mexican food & after I read reviews this place was picked & it did not disappoint!!! It was fresh, delicious, & everyone so friendly. We ordered the queso blanco (the chips are flour & homemade, yum!!) my husband had the tacos al carbon, & I had cheese enchiladas. My husband especially loved the real pico with his tacos. The rice & beans were great as well. We talked to Angie & her daughter & had a great time. Give them a try, you ll love it!!

We wanted to try a different Mexican restaurant so we decided to give Angies a try... I am so glad we did.... Not only was the food amazing but the service was excellent too.... Prices were not bad at all and the atmosphere was cozy and I love the fact that the workers were allowed to bring their kids to work it was nice to hear the kids laughing and playing.... Looks like we found out new Mexican food spot :)

Food was fresh and made to order. I had the lunch special # 13 with one steak and one chicken. Then added 2 huge garlic shrimp. So good. My husband had enchiladas and he enjoy it. Chips and dips very good. The prices on the menu on very reasonable. This is great for dates place isnt too big. So surprised on how well our experience was here. We will be back.

Had lunch there and it was excellent. I had mixed fajitas-the beef and chicken were very yummy. Corn tortillas were homemade. My husband had crispy tacos-he though they were very good too. I had baracho beans -fabulous! The rice was really good too. We will definitely be going back there! They have a small patio out front so our dog was able to join us for lunch. Great waitress-who got us iced teas to go. If you are craving Mexican food I definitely would give Angies a try!

This establishment is right off the Frazier Street in a mixed use shopping plaza. There was not that much parking available close by but there was parking a little further away. It is decorated neatly with old southwest style. I had a torta which was okay. The bread was a bit tough even though it was toasted. The tacos with carne asada was very good and would recommend. Dessert of tres leches was pretty disappointing. It was very very dry, basically no milk in the cake. I will try again at a later date.

Very small, quaint Mexican restaurant located in an older strip center in the older part of Conroe. The food and the service are outstanding! ALL of their food is made onsite in their kitchen - SO Captain Obvious. We tried different food items - there is an unbelievable menu - and they knocked our socks off! And their queso, - ohhhhhh that queso!!! Also, the entire staff helps - they all have each others back. They love the littles, too. Theyre happy to offer a little nourishing snack to the kiddos while the food is being prepared. Good-sized beverages, unbelievable amounts of food, the prices are great and the avos are always perfect! Angies is now on my list of regulars!

If you ever want to feel like youre at abuelas house with her homemade cooking. This is the place to go. Fantastic food. Good queso and good staff. Its a hole in the wall and that can scare people away as well as be difficult to spot but I can say this. Its worth it. My one and ONLY complaint is their hours can be funny. Theyre supposed to close at 10pm however while we were there 15min we had been seated and we started noticing closing tasks being completed. Come to find out they were closing early due to lack of staff. Kind of concerning for me only because most restaurants are about 40 minutes from my home so when I set a route I expect to follow it. If I arrive and theyre closed early it would be a let down. Call ahead is all I can say. The food though is on point lol.

This place is soo good! We have been here for 7 months, in Conroe area, and just found our Mexican food place. The salsa is served as it should be- cold! None of that nasty hot salsa that every other restaurant seems to only serve. The prices are good, especially for these inflated times, and service is great! Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. Also, really good taco meat and charro beans!

Just finished dinner. So full I think I need to go to bed! The food and service was great!! Don t let the bad reviews deter you. The red and green salsas that came out in the beginning were homemade and so flavorful. Same with the chips. Food came out quickly and all 4 of us were very pleased with our food and the good prices. Every meat you can think of Bonus points for multiple vegetarian options. We enjoyed our meal on the cute little patio outside. Glad we stumbled upon this place and gave it a try! We will be back :)

We found this restaurant on our way back home to Dallas after looking at reviews. I can honestly say their food is delicious and some of the best authentic Mexican food I ve had. Don t let the fact that it s tucked away keep you from eating here. You won t regret it. Service was also great and food came out quickly.
