Did the trip to Bertram. The whole ride is staffed by very nice volunteers. I would say the ride itself is smooth but there is not much exciting scenery to enjoy. I would say this is more of a trip to just get a taste of riding a train and not much more. Maybe the other route has better scenery. I would recommend getting your own compartment if possible to enjoy a more quiet ride. The volunteers were the best part of the experience. I would recommend bringing some drinks and a charcuterie board or snacks with you.

Went to the Burnet Bluebonnet Festival by way of the train. The ride was enjoyable and Burnet was beautiful. Thanks to all the Volunteers who make this function available and pleasant for their passengers.

It was not a very pleasant ride. Word of caution: Make sure if you get the last coach (Nambe), ask if theres a group that are playing games. The group was 7 people in our compartment, plus my wife and I, and it was extremely loud, rude, and vulgar when we asked for them to be a little more quiet and respectful. One guy wanted to fight and was using vulgar language. The conductor should have interceded because you could hear this in the rest of the car. Sounded like a bar room full of rodey folks. The conductor at our request changed our seats for a private room. Needless to say, it ruined our trip, and although the conductor did address the problems, he (Steve) seemed to be annoyed with us. Weve been on other train excursions and have to say this is the worst weve been on. The layover was not what a train stop could have been. Would not recommend this for elderly persons or veterans.

We enjoyed a train ride in the economy/coach class, and it was great for us! I will recommend bringing your own food/snacks for the journey, as the ride can feel a little long... especially for younger riders. You will probably want to bring some form of additional entertainment for them, as well. If you want a little more privacy, quiet, and/or space to yourself, I would recommend paying for the more spacious experience. Otherwise, understand that its all part of traveling by train! Overall, its a fun way for train enthusiasts-young and old-to get to experience a historical train!

This was a unique experience. We got to ride in cars that transported Hollywood stars from many decades ago. The ride itself was very relaxing. If its in your budget, I highly recommend it.

I didnt realize this place was so close, but I was looking for a family friendly pizza place and this location fit that perfectly. I also wanted a pizza covered in pepperoni and they made that happen as well. The soda machine was broken due to frozen lines or something, so we had limited drink options out of small bottles or you could get a 2L... The pizza itself was piping hot, and tasty, if a bit greasy. The crust was outstanding and soft since it was so fresh. Side note and bonus, I managed to snag a stuffed animal on my first try with the claw machine.

I enjoy riding the train Not giving 5 stars cause we werent told about the bathrooms ( like where they were, wasnt told about concession cart : $3.25 for snack size bag of chips ) was supposed to throw seeds out but wasnt informed on as to where to get the seeds But I will plan another trip with my mom , one that goes to Burnet Thank you to the Volunteers

If youre in to the history of refurbished passenger rail cars, then thus is for you. Of youre in to sweeping vistas and gorgeous sunsets, then it isnt. We took the Sunset Express excursion and frankly, all you could see was overgrown vegetation along both sides of the tracks, construction and industrial sights. We did get one fair photo when the train stopped at the halfway point to switch tracks for the return trip home.

Train ride was smooth and great. Not a lot of impressive scenery. I got go tour the train carts as well as the conductor cart. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The antique shops and food places was all in walking distance and inexpensive

The chicken sandwich was delicious, our server was very nice keep us refilled with drinks, we had 1 chicken sandwich, one mix basket, grids ( delicious but the way) greens,mac and cheese plus fries, 1 kids tea 1 adult tea and 3 beers for under $60 thats an awesome price, my daughter had a great time playing at the playground.

Lucys Fried chicken is just middle of the road BAM at this location. I like the menu and on a Friday evening there wasnt a wait for seating at the bar. ART was our server, he did well. What was tragic was one of the female employees in uniform sat next to us at the bar and felt free to hold an employee meeting loud as a barn hen running her stubby fingers through her pony tail hair and flicking it in the direction of our plates. Im guessing we didnt need to be included in her company inventory or Instagram photo posting speech or welcome her ponytail hair into our dinner plates. Poor couple she was talking to looked like they were held hostage. We will try another location next time, if we want to spend the money. Good luck Cedar Park.

Very cool place. Very well decorated and laid out. The staff that we interacted with was very professional but a little rude (it s a bar so I kind of get it ) . The drinks were good but they did have an issue with one of their soda wells that they didn t seem to care about when getting Dr Pepper and fireball mixed drink . The band sounded great. Overall it was a great time and I d highly suggest coming here for a great evening!

Took my daughter on the North Pole Flyer train ride and it was great! She really enjoyed it. They had story time, hot cocoa and cookies with Mrs. Claus, Christmas carols, a balloon artist elf, and Santa Claus. We had a super fun time.
