We brought Mija BBQ home for lunch, and it was delicious! It reminded me of Reese Bros BBQ in San Antonio. Owners are friendly, food is priced reasonably, and the atmosphere is great. We will back for dinner soon to eat at the picnic tables!

I am all about small business. This is not a bad review at all and will more likely be back. Went for breakfast last weekend. They dont have any liquid sugar for iced coffee. I also think the kids meals are very small portion compared to other places. The kids had one pancake and two slices of bacon with a bit of potatoes they missed the eggs.. My husband had the chilaquiles he loved the spiciness but said they could use some beans as a side. Everyone was extremely nice!!!!! The place was also super clean!!!

Overall, the food is very alright here. Nice brisket seems to be their staple item on the menu, you would think it would have more flavor. If it wasnt for the small container of bar b que sauce that they give you, the brisket would be a swing and a miss. I also suggest that they serve a full menu all day.

The Food is AMAZING here. Today I had the BRISKET SANDWICH. A toasty warm buttered bun with loads of thick chopped meat falling off the sides. No sauce to drizzle or dip was perfectly okay because this sandwich was PERFECT. I cant afford to eat here often for a $16 sandwich, but the memory of it will stick with me until I return next month. Vegetarian options: Not sure Parking: Only a few spaces available Kid-friendliness: Not sure if they have a Kuds menu but splitting these large sandwiches are ideal Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there is a Ram Entrance

Dont get fooled by the wanna be influencers on these reviews that leave 5-star reviews based on the pretty building and the aesthetic. It was a disappointment given the extra orbitant high prices. I had a brisket sandwich that cost $15.49, and a $4 mason jar-lile serving of sweet tea that tasted of just sugar. While served in a pleasantly renovated building, the food was mediocre. The sandwich was really small, and for the price, I expected the contrary. I also thought some sort of homemade bun would be involved, but no, it was the store-bought variety. A weird acidic flavor to it, and watery, tasteless bbq sauce. It absolutely didnt justify the cost, especially given the fabulous quality of BBQ in Cedar Hill at places like Harris or Phat girlz, which will serve you a bigger, tastier and significantly cheaper sandwich. It just feels like whoever is pricing things has absolutely lost their mind. It feels like theyre trying to make up the cost of the renovation in just a few short months, instead of looking at their food and thinking long and hard if the prices theyre charging are on par with the quality, and their competition. To add to the frustration, theyre asking for tips at a counter where you have to walk up to them. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, and I wouldnt recommend it to others based on the price-to-quality ratio. It really feels like this is still food-truck-quality food, at prices that not even more established places are charging.

The tacos are extremely expensive for what they are. They do not look appealing. They are not really all that great. They are not bad, but they are not even close to being worth $8 for one. I can t recommend in good faith Harris BBQ is still undisputed the king of BBQ in Cedar Hill. Soulman s also has by far better and much cheaper brisket. I would not recommend.

Mija s offers, without question, the best burgers I have ever had. The Brisket burger patty is absolutely phenomenal! The brisket is possibly the best tasting I can remember. And the sides are clearly homemade from scratch and are all excellent. The family atmosphere makes you feel like you re eating at home. I think it s awesome that owners Bailey and Ryan involve their lovely family in the customer service. When I got my order within just a few minutes, their amazing young daughter happily told me that her daddy cooks really fast! I ve also used Mija s catering service for my business needs and their food and service was exceptional in every detail. I m super impressed with Mija s and will be a forever customer.

Great experience. Clean building and quiet setting. Plenty of outdoor seating here. I ordered two biscuit briskets and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was huge in size. The brisket biscuit was very good. The biscuit was soft the brisket was flavorful and juicy. I really like the Sunnyside up egg. The sauce that came on it was on point. My only (small) issue was that I tried to call in a takeout order and the phone kept going to voicemail. No harm no foul. This is my new breakfast stop. I ate my food and couldnt get a picture.

We did come in about 40 minutes. Stenciling but I was vey disappointed when we arrived and saw the long list of what they ran out of (which is all of what my husband was going to order). They were very fast at getting the order together. The ribs were yummy and kind of sweet. The brisket was okay. I didn t like the coleslaw or the green beans though. And I was surprised that I didn t like the Barbacos street taco. It was actually spicy and not enough onions. I did enjoy the elote though. We ended up having to go to another BBQ place nearby so my husband could order his food.

I found this place on tt and everything looked absolutely delicious. I read it was a bbq spot with a Mexican twist inside of a brewery so everything sounded heavenly. The brewery and bbq place are together but separate, it s a bit strange but whatever. We got the quesabirria tacos 7/10, the brisket tacos 6/10 and the ground brisket burger 9/10. For sides we got the mac n cheese 5/10 elote 9/10 and frijoles charros 5/10 . :( The meats were good and tender but the Mexican twist was not there! I would say it was tex-mex if anything. The flavors weren t very strong and we got the smallest amount of sauce on anything that came with a sauce. I think it s a good place to try a snack while you drink but wouldn t invest on a full meal again!

I m really torn on this place. The barbecue itself was excellent, perfectly cooked and really flavorful. The issue I had was with the sides and garnishes. The consomé that comes with the birria tacos was some of the worst I ve ever had. It tasted like onion water. The consomé is a very important part of birria tacos so it kind of ruined the whole meal for me. I also got the beans and they were really nasty as well. Little to no flavor, and the flavor it did have was slightly bitter and just tasted off . The other sides I got were the Mac and cheese (decent but not anything amazing) and the elote (good but watery). Overall I would stick to the barbecue here, skip the sides and save yourself some money. I wouldn t recommend the birria either but maybe we just caught them on a bad day :(

This is by far the best BBQ I have had in a long time if not ever! My husband and I got the brisket tacos and the pulled pork sandwich and they were both AMAZING! The sides are a great portion and top notch flavor. This will definitely be a regular date night spot for us! Do yourself a favor and head on over!

Hands down the best brisket in Cedar Hill. They catered our church event, everyone loved it. I promote them every chance I get. Their sausage, pulled pork, pastor chicken is all very good! But that brisket though! Fall apart tender, perfectly juicy! Enjoy and thank me later!

The food is okay. It looks a lot better than it tastes. I wasnt too crazy about the rice and beans but the brisket is decent. Its not the best BBQ in the Cedar Hill but they get an A for effort. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
