We had a business guest who never tried Korean barbeque so we took him here. Im very familiar with chef Baik so I thought it would be a good experience for our guest. Some of the banchan was fine, but was disappointed at the quality of the meats, steamed egg(was stiff and dry) and the pajeon (it was more like an omelet than the korean pancake). Service was fine.

As the first Dallas store, SAEMAEUL Korean BBQ is a franchise restaurant that operates with the reputation of Baek-Jong Won. He is an extremely famous korean chef in Korea. When he was in the army, he became an army chef volunteerily because he didnt like the food taste and walked into the kitchen to fix the food. Thats the type of guy he is. I had an awesome bulgogi set menu! Kimchi was excellent & so was the beef . Quality is 5/5 and the staff are friendly. This is 2nd time coming here to eat for dinner. The meat portion is good for 2 people. So if there are 4 people, order 2 sets. This place is packed with people during the weekend, and usually, it is best to come early at 5 pm. They have a cabbage salad with special tasty marinated sauce, which goes well with the meat . Smells and tastes authentic style restaurant!

This was my first time at this restaurant and I went at around 4 pm. Although all of the meats were high quality, I was disappointed by the lack of options especially in the combo section. As someone who doesnt eat pork, there werent many combo options especially past the dinner/lunch timings. Also the individual meats were substantially more expensive than the combo options, so I wouldnt recommend this restaurant if you want to try various cuts/marinades of meat or other dishes on the menu if you are trying to stay under $25-30 per person. However, I will commend Saemaeul for having great service. The waiter made the meats quickly and the banchan served were also delicious.

The round table is very small and very tiny that we almost knock over dishes. The meat is very expensive but the quality is very tasty. Saemaeul has become my favorite Korean BBQ restaurant in all of DFW. You cant go wrong with any of the pork or beef choices. I especially like the beef brisket (think sliced and non marinated) and the boneless beef ribs. Dont forget to try the steamed egg with cheese. Its a delicious egg souffle dish most Korean love. The ajummas (lady servers) are some of the best in Dallas. They are friendly, very experienced and efficient. Overall value is more than fair. Considering the quality of the meats and great service, Saemaeul is a definite 5 star in my book.

One of the best quality kbbq restaurants in the DFW area! And that s a big statement to make with how saturated the market is. Their quality of meat is unmatched and tastes as good as it looks. My toddler is super picky about her meat (outside of chicken nuggets of course ) and always eats well here. From their banchans to their soups, everything tastes delicious! Definitely more on the pricier side however it s a great treat once in awhile. I also appreciate how well the servers take care of their guests. Second time visiting, and again, this place did NOT disappoint me at any angle. My friend and I arrived pretty late, around 10:45 when they close at midnight. We rushed ordered their signature meat and kimchi stew. The lady who served our table cooked so well for us and made us feel not rushed. Only downside this place had was, they only gave us so small portions of vinegar and wasabi when we ordered cold noodles(naengmyeon). We had to kept asking for more. The taste is somewhat different from the seasoning used in Korea. The meat itself is fresh and tasty. (The hot charcoal bulgogi was not very spicy.) I was very disappointed that kimchi rolled noodles were not on the menu. The staff is friendly and the meat is cooked well. All the side dishes are delicious.

It was my first time eating Korean Barbeque and Sarmaeul absolutely exceeded my expectations!! The food was so delicious and the staff was amazing, especially Annie! This was an awesome experience and will definitely come back again!! 100/10

The food and service is great. Jin is one of the coolest and most professional server at any restaurant. Ever since I became a regular he always greets me and makes sure to take care of me and any guest I come with. Parking: Right behind the restaurant

Saemaeul is by far our favorite Korean bbq place to go. We ve been to many different places in Carrollton and Dallas, but you can t beat the quality of meat you find here. Service is always great by all that work here. We especially enjoy when we get served by Jenny, Jin, and Kevin. They are so attentive. Definitely our favorite place to come and the only place we come now for Korean bbq.

Im confused why this place has such good reviews. Service was bad, we were ignored alot of time. Meat was either too salty or underseasoned. Small place, very cramp. Restroom similar to old place they took over, including the horrible smell.

Our favorite k-bbq spot in Dallas. Moved here from LA 2 years ago where there are plenty of kbbq spots. This place is just as good, if not better than kbbq spots in LA or even in Korea. Annie, the manager here couldn t be any nicer and treats me and my family like her own every time we visit. Highly recommend.

To put in perspective of value, the meal was good but the bill didnt suit the value. Youll be looking at spending $50-100/person before tip. For the menu options of different cuts, the beef quality was mid-tier on the spectrum vs price paid. Waiters/waitresses were kind and frequently checked on us. Atmosphere was busy and loud with kpop. Worth a try, but probably wont be back anytime soon. Parking: Parking is behind the building and requires to walk around to the street side for the entrance.
