A very clean, well organized and well guarded place. I loved it, my recommendation is that you wear special river shoes, and the path to get to the river is somewhat long and a bit rocky. From there everything is perfect. A magnificent place, dont forget to bring special river shoes for the rocks, a lot of vigilance is perfect.

Water was low, but great area water is so clear. Limited parking, they have greatly reduced number of parking choices. Toilets: There are no restrooms down near water. They have portajohns at the top of the hill. They smelled pretty bad. There is a lot of brush by the water, it was easier for girlfriend and I to go behind a bush than hike 1/4 mile back up to top of hill. They could use Porta John closer to water

We found this while looking for a great place to let our service dog play in the water and also cool off. Nice short walk down to the water, lots of area to spread out with others enjoying the water as well. We could tell the water was lower than normal because of the drought, but we really enjoyed it all the same! Remi Roo really loved her swim! Dog-friendliness: There is plenty of space to avoid others doggys playing in the water as well.

Not trying to cause the park problems. But now a kid has drowned off that (unofficial) beach. They need to remove the advertisement from their website and facebook. Or supervision should be required. The fact that they only put trash cans down by the water and none in the upper park, just further shows that they don t get that they have a serious problem. They might have a major law suit heading there way. I love the park and the staff, but they should not ignore this issue. The overlook park is a great place! But it has a major problem and someone is going to get injured, attacked or drowned there. Their facebook page lists it as having an unofficial beach . They think that gets them off the hook for what happens there. But in reality, they are inviting people to enjoy their so called beach (unofficial) just means unsupervised and unsafe. The area along the water is dangerous. From tripping hazards to huge falling rocks and cliffs. Because it is advertised as (unofficial), it draws in people that don t wish to follow any rules.

Lots of people come here to walk the trails, others to enjoy time at the lake shore. They have places to sit as well as picnic tables in some areas. They also have bathrooms. Playground: No playground. Toilets: Bathrooms available. Dog-friendliness: People do bring their dogs sometimes. Picnic area: Yes, they have picnic tables.
