I like having this place in my neighborhood, I just think the selection could be a little better but understand the clientele in Buda aren t exactly all craft beer drinkers. If they got rid of some of the more macro leaning stuff and throw on a lot more or all local or Texas stuff with some creativity, I think we would have a sure winner. There are so many great breweries in the state now and I know people would travel for the goods. Some of the stuff is just boring and the tap list doesn t refresh too often. No food but they do pop ups pretty frequently which is nice. I think you can bring your own food, too. Nice small town local feel and good friendly service the few times I ve been in. Small inside with spots outside too. About 1/4 mile off of i35.

You wouldnt guess it from the outside driving by -- but this is one of Budas friendliest and coziest little spots to grab a beer, watch some sports, have a nice chat with the bar staff, and maybe have a nice conversation with other locals. Every time I stop by this place I am struck with one thought -- why dont I come here more? Really like this place, they have great beers, the staff is awesome, and its really a neat place to hang out a while.

We have been coming to Growler Express since the day they opened, and they never disappoint. The beer selection rotates regularly, the owners and staff are some of the friendliest in town, and there is a small, hometown vibe that you cannot find anywhere else in this area.

This place is racist! They cut me off even though I only one drink because apparently I was too loud. We were the only table with POC , However, they had several White ppl that were just as loud with zero problems. I literally only had a lager there and was cut off immediately because Im too loud. If you R a POC please be careful because you could be discriminated against. Of course there are White Hispanic ppl there that of course think they are above racism. So they act appropriately so they dont get kicked out. Which what I was told by some White Hispanic ppl . That if I just lowered my voice I would be served. Even though the White ppl in the place where being louder . I guess next time I wont wear hoop earrings so I dont get discriminated against.

Staff was very friendly. Small selection of several local craft beers and a few non-local selections. My flight of 4 beers was a little on the pricey side at $17+ with two beers being a Kolsch and an Amber. The big beers were the least well crafted and likely consumed the majority of the cost...the price of trying new beers

The quality of people that patronize the Growler is truly special. I was there to purchase a Growler and as I was leaving one of the patrons came out to warn me that a chunk of glass had separated from the bottom of the Growler. When I walked back into the store to see if I could exchange it, the bartender was already picking out a suitable replacement. Thanks so much, in the words of Arnold Swartzenager, Ill be back.

I love this place. Great mostly Texas craft beer an draft with a couple taps from outside the state (founders epic and left hand to name a few). The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and they have tap takeover and music once or twice a month. They are dog and kid friendly.Always something new 5 out of 24 taps changed in a 2 week period . Nice place , clean with a classy build out. Its small, and there is only craft beer (no domestic drafts , only a few domestic bottles/cans) but I think thats the idea. Good place for a few low key pints, or if growlers are your thing they have those obviously. 20+ craft beers on tap, I got a flight and it was good. I feel like the place is limited in its offerings but what it does it does well. Friendly and competent staff.

Fantastic craft beer gem in Buda! Locally owned tap room thats been open since April of 2018. The staff was great and the atmosphere was nice. They have a large rotating selection of beers and you can drink a pint there or get growlers to go. BYOF! (they dont serve food so you can bring your own in!).

Great new addition to the greater Buda/Kyle metroplex area and just what beer feels here needed. No more running up too ATX, San Marcos, or SA to try great, local, craft beer. By local, they really mean it. Trying to get brews that are local to the Buda area. And while they may carry a tap or two from breweries in Austin/SA, they really want to spotlight breweries that are not Austin or SA based, really defining drink local. We went during their soft opening and they had a steady, if not busy stream of customers, which all managed to get served timely and had their questions answered (some customers were new to the craft beer scene). Really look forward to coming back here and setting their additions (outdoor seating). No food as of yet but you can bring your own or call it in (pro tip: theres a Papa Johns next door and a Thai restaurant a block away) Looking forward to many more pints at this new hang out spot in the 78610.
