I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Great Clips Tejas Studio, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hair salon experiences Ive ever had! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and stylish and immediately set the tone for a great visit. The receptionist greeted me warmly and made sure I was comfortable while I waited. Pro tip: always sign in online for a smaller wait time. My stylist, Valerie, was a true artist. She took the time to listen to my preferences and offered insightful suggestions that perfectly matched my hair and profile. Valerie s skill with the scissors was exceptional. The cut was precise and flattering. She also shared some valuable tips on how to maintain the style and recommended products that would work best for my hair type. In addition to the fantastic service, the pricing was reasonable for the high quality provided. Great Clips Tejas Studio is a place where you feel valued as a client. Ellie did an amazing job. I have had the same barber for 7 years in a different area and after trying numerous other barbers since returning to BCS and giving them chance after chance I had to make a change because the 40.00 haircuts where not what I expected from other high prices barber shops. She nailed it spot on my first visit. The energy in the building is always professional and my shampoo beard trim and haircut where what I needed after a long 2 weeks working. The works treatment for what I was paying for a normal haircut in college station. Hats off to her and Mary both for the professionalism. Thank you guys again!!!

The girl was really sweet, but oh holy when I started touching my hair afterwards, I started getting a pit in my stomach. It s extremely choppy and uneven. Like, I ve done better at-home haircuts on myself during the pandemic, but get nervous about the back looking good. Turns out I could do a better job cutting the back of my own head. I m going to have to try to fix it myself now Supposed to be straight ends with some light layering and face framing, this is step ladder choppy with the layer backwards in places (shorter underneath longer pieces laying on top) and some pieces way longer then others. Honestly pretty sad, as I had about 10 inches cut off, only to have it look bad.. at least I wanted it this short and I m not the girl who posted with very long hair who got an even more extremely choppy layering job. That looks devastating. It is worse when I run my finger through it and feel the chopped sections I would not come back even for a simple trim, I d rather take my chances watching Brad Mondo on YouTube tell me what to do at home myself.

Last time I will ever go to any Great Clips. No matter what location you go to it always feels the same. The barbers there just want their shift to be over with and to cut your hair as fast as humanly possible, whilst ignoring your requests for how you want your hair done.

Girl basically ruined my hair. I asked for my layers to be trimmed. The whole cut is uneven as you can see in pictures. Instead of layers it just looks like a whole chunk is missing from the bottom of the hair to the next layer. I m very upset I didn t notice until the next day since I tipped this girl almost the same amount as the price of the cut. Now I have to pay for someone to fix this. Save your money and go to more experienced people if you want more than a straight cut.

Look out people, went there Saturday and then nicest young lady named Suzette got me signed in immediately and cutting my hair the entire time I was there I enjoyed her cutting my hair so much we were just laughing the whole time, she did a good job and was very very professional. However once I got up out of The barbers chair, I took a glance to the left and that employee that was cutting a customers hair had her back turned to her and looking straight at me stating out loud GOODBYE and again out loud she basically hollers again GOODBYE like she was throwing me out the front door? I asked Suzette what was up with that and its kind and professional as Suzette was she said I dont know about that time the manager stepped in between a conversation so I asked her I said why did she do that,that was so rude, and the manager tells me oh she didnt mean anything by that I still disagreed in my mind because I know rude when I see rude, about that time one of my neighbors in the first chair behind the register turned around and said hi Mike I said well hi so I still told Suzette thank you very much and tipped her $10. So I was walking towards HEB and thought to myself you know if shes rude enough to turn around and stop cutting someones hair that she had her back to because it was more important to holler at me I thought I would call back over and ask her name Suzette answer the phone and the next thing I know the managers interrupting the phone call picking up the other line,, I couldnt understand what she was saying other than well you have a blessed day and hung up on me? Ive never been so offended and embarrassed by an employee hollering and insinuating that I get out, but the person I really felt sorry for was the persons hair that the smart aleck girl was cutting . Ive been a customer of Great clips for over 10 years and I have never ever seen this type of behavior. Its really sad that the girl had such a terrible attitude at work that she completely neglected the customer she was supposed to be taking care of, Suzette was great, but One bad Apple does spoil the whole bunch mismanager and your employee needs to control her big mouth and behavior be careful people. Go to another location..

Worst service waited a total of about 30 minutes or longer with only 2 other people in the place and the associate was very easly distracted and slow what should have been a quick male haircut took 40 minutes more or less and the haircut was horrible now have to wait and hope my hair goes back quickly so I can go else where to get it done right or get some one completely cut all my hair off definitely not worth the price. No worries, I thought they would have a military/first responders discount. Nope. So the $8.00 haircut I was expecting turned into a $20.00 haircut. At least there was no wait. If you want a decent and simple mens haircut, please go some place else. The lady who cut my hair seemed to be in a hurry and chopped my hair up in 5 minutes. She trimmed my side and back when I clearly asked for a fade, and even then its asymetrical. My hair looks horrible now but itll grow back, unlike my opinion of this place. Tried to come in for a haircut after checking in online. Told that they were closed after entering in an unlocked front door 30 minutes before the posted hours said that it was closed. Been coming here over a year now and had good service. As usual booked online and checked closing time as it was a little after 6pm. Online booking stated the Tejas location closed at 7pm. I went in to get a haircut and everything was in order, beginning with the stylist sanitizing her hands and having me sanitize mine as well, before cutting anything !!! And all barber chairs are sanitized before and after each customer, so you can rest assured that the place is germ free !!! And the stylist did a fantastic job !!! Unfortunately I didnt take the opportunity to take pictures, but I wouldnt hesitate to send anyone over there for a haircut !!!

This place is great, they cut your hair precise and it usually only takes 10-15 minutes. I like going there because it doesnt take long for your hair to be cut. The only negative feedback Id have to give is the waiting line can be pretty long but if youre there in person and didnt sign in online they usually take you before they arrive just to keep the line moving

This is the first negative review I leave. EVER!! I went in to Great Clips in Bryan (Villa Maria) to get a trim. Told Cara to cut less than 1.5 inches. She kept telling me my hair wasnt going to grow if I only cut 1.5 inches, but I managed to get her to agree to 1.25 inches because I am letting my hair grow. Once everything was said and done, she admitted to cutting FOUR inches off!! Its taken me a while to process through this because its been very upsetting to me. I should not have paid or tipped her, but when it all happened I was still in shock for losing 1/3 of my hair... all those years of trying to grow it and its gone in an instant because Cara wasnt able to trim 1.25 inches and chose to ignore my request. Its honestly taken me a while to process through this. If youre a girl, you know how important hair is, so Im sure you can relate to my dismay. I hope others havent had this experience with her. It seems to me she may be new?? or just scissor happy??? So sad. Anyhow, nothing I can do now. :(

If I am being honest.....its kind of 50/50 here. I have had great experiences here and Ive also had a horrible experiences here. Sometimes whoever you get has a great personality and theyre super sweet. But we have also had someone who didnt say one word to us and wasnt very nice to my child while they were cutting their hair. Cutting womens hair I think they do a great job but when it comes to my son I tend to take him somewhere else because each time they would always cut his hair crooked.

So me, my husband and my son went there today to all 3 get hair cuts. Normally we go to the one by wolf pen but we were told our favorite girl who cuts our hair was at the Texas center. The girl who cut my husband was outstanding and he is normally the picky one!! After they got done I was about to get mine done when my son just started throwing up everywhere. The staff was so kind and checked in with me to make sure he was okay and was so understanding and let me come back for my cut since we already paid for it. I was completely embarrassed to the point I wanted to cry but they were so kind to me and all completely understood that you can t control when kids get sick. Hands down the most professional staff and the kindest!!!

Went here yesterday because they had previously done an amazing job with my husbands hair and (since I have a special event tonight) I wanted to give them more of my business. So, I go in there and tell them that I need a comb out and a deep condition. Now, admittedly, my hair was really matted and tangled but it was not impossible to deal with. I just needed help was all. But the first lady wanted to see it, so I took my scarf off and immediately she acted like they couldnt do it. She then called another stylist who proceeded to pick through my hair (in front of a bunch of waiting customers) and proceeded to tell me that they would have to cut my hair and that even if they could comb it out, a deep condition wouldnt help my type of hair. And they both wouldnt stop emphasizing how bad it was. I have never been so humiliated! I left crying and went to someone I knew in Houston (I was originally trying to AVOID going so far out of town) and I not only got it COMPLETELY comb out without any cutting, I also got it deep conditioned like I wanted. Clearly, these women werent talented enough to do the job or they just didnt want to take the time to do it, either way, it was a hurtful experience.
