8 25 24 Ok, food was fair, but my thing is youre in line forever as usual. Thats not the problem. The problem is the server is in lala land, which takes too long along with the cook. Meaning when making fried fish, only 6 come out?? Seriously yall you should have more I was in line saw them come out as soon as they did before my turn all were gone and those people were way in front already so what happens I wait another 30min. Still in line, no fish and payed we find seats, but still no fish. My party of 3 started eating. I have all sides but no main course yet seriously.... no attends us, so what do I have to do? Get up and go back to the people at this time. Fish is probably gonna by now because they forget about me. Still, girl goes checks, and guess what? I get the last one they all gone again.. if I hadnt gotten up, Id have to wait another 30 to 40 min. Whats up with that if you know that item sells a lot and quick put more not to mention 2 servers the main course. It was bad service, then no napkins, no refills, you have to flag people down for service it is bad. I see no management what so ever. Just badly organized, everyone is chicken without a head fast walking and ck this ck that... and Im standing there like an idiot waiting on food I paid for. Now lets get into the cashier. What in the world, lubys, senior citizens are senior citizens? What is this for 1 whole fish is reg. Price you have to get half a fish to get senior citizen that is the most preposterous thing ever actually this is the only restaurant Ive heard do this. And Im sure more than 85% of senior citizens dont know what they are being charged if they get the whole fish. Wth? Yes, Im upset it shouldnt matter the portion it should compensate with other items served, not the proper serving , but you charge full on that. You never think of that, did ya? Its just awful. $80.00

Its a mall buffet, so loud sounds are to be expected. We went as they opened, but already the flies were all over the food. We got some really bad/dry chicken and the waitress was kind enough to change it out for another entrée. Same with the drinks, they tasted awful and she saw that we got the right drink right away. Lilly,our waitress was great, she made this mediocre food experience much better.

Great food in a clean restaurant. Very unorganized this time around. Serving staff kept talking over each other and joking around, not paying attention to what the customers were ordering, kept giving the wrong order. I had to let them know. It wasnt that there too many people.

Some very uncouth people just out of church (no less) cut in line and let at least 17 people(no joke) in front of 85 year old mom in a wheelchair. We got the manager, Mr Castillo who waited on us. A wonderful man. God bless him and all the classy staff there. We were discussing our disgust with the level of disrespect folks have privately at our table. Suddenly, a man sitting by himself at the next table starts verbally insulting us and telling us to shut up. We had to move because he was like a rabid chihuahua. I called the police but he left, thank God. LESSON: cutting in line and eavesdropping is extremely low class

We recently took my cousin from Mexico City to eat at Lubys during her visit to the United States. We wanted you to experience typical American cafeteria food, as it is rare in Mexico. We are also fans of Lubys and were excited to share the experience with her. The variety on the menu allowed us to choose from a wide range of dishes, from classics like roast beef to lighter options like fresh salads. My cousin was delighted with everything, from the quality of the food to the desserts and their coffee, which cannot be missed. He especially enjoyed the desserts, which never ceased to surprise us with their delicious homemade flavor. For us, Lubys is a place we like to go to from time to time. Our experience with my cousin only reaffirmed our appreciation for this classic diner restaurant. Without a doubt, we will return!

Went for lunch and dinner same day and was attended by a young man by the name of Diego, boy this young man gives his best in the service he provides. Im pretty sure this restaurant has a lot of good employees but wish they were all like this young man, He received us with a great smile and continues routes to see if we needed anything. I went today during lunch and as soon as I walked in employees welcomed me and asked how I was doing, very cordial! I was able to ask about different dishes and the ladies working the food line were very helpful. I chose the chicken fried steak with fried okra, Mac and cheese and a Texas toast. Food was warm, fresh and tasty. Our table waitress was on top of things and came by several times for drink refills and anything else we needed. Enjoyed my time there.

The Lubys in Sunrise Mall is usually very good. The service is a little hit or miss, but the food is usually pretty good. There are waitstaff, that come to your table once or twice. As far as the atmosphere is concerned, there are a few TVs that are either tuned to sports or news. Other than that the restaurant is very plain. Dont come if you want something fancy. The food is good, it is at a decent price. I have been coming since I was a child, and dont see myself stopping anytime soon. I recommend the fried fish, the mashed potatoes and the macaroni and cheese. I always get two dinner rolls, but there is an extra charge for the second one.
