First time eating here and so very happy ! We had my sisters gender reveal and Jess and Andrea were soooooo PATIENT , KIND AND ATTENTIVE. We had a party of 21 and it was hectic but they served us with a smile ! The food was very yummy! However what made it effortless and smooth was the kindness of the staff. I went with my baby, my friend and her little son. And it was a super nice experience. The waitresses were super attentive and kept an eye on our table. The place was very nice and clean. We were the first customers and it was a little empty, but as time went by the others began to arrive. We chose an area where we wouldnt disturb others (since people usually go alone to do their office work or couples go on a romantic date) and when you have children the atmosphere is a little different. The food is delicious and worth the price. It is a destination that I really recommend.

The cups smell like eggs the bathrooms are super dirty the service takes forever there are flies in there food and there is a hostess that is super rude and confused when doing her job the owner is rude too the food tastes very low quality and very overpriced the tables are very sticky and not a very sanitary place also understaffed and the only people that go here are locals overall the experience and food and atmosphere are terrible highly do not recommend. Deserves a 0 star.

Cute spot with nice view out back. Small portions for price. Food was good but I did not feel wowed by any means. We ate chicken and waffles and eggs benedict. The flavor on chicken and waffles was good however the chicken itself was kind of rubbery and fatty. The guava mimosa was different and I really enjoyed it.

My mom and I came in to have lunch on an afternoon. I ordered the tuna steak and she ordered the cheeseburger. She absolutely loved her burger and said its one of the best shes had. It was cooked perfectly and their secret sauce was great!! I ordered the tuna steak. Honestly, one of the best tuna steaks Ive had in a loooong time!! The combination of the avocado mousse, tzatziki and smokey tuna steak was a flavor I didnt know I needed in my life it was delicious! For dessert we shared a creme brule. The custard was rich and the crust was good. It didnt have quite have that satisfying break, but the flavor made up for that. Lunch was well worth the price and I hope to try their breakfast options soon (served all day)

HORRIBLE place, Terrible service, discrimination...the lady who served us only took the dishes and never came back, we ordered some carajillos and we spent 10 minutes waiting for them, they never arrived and she didnt even go to check. Its better for me to get up than to pay the bill in front of me and comment on what happened and have them remove the money that never arrived from my bill.

Worst customer service i ever experienced in Texas. Got arrived at 10:05 AM and never bother to get my orders I need to call them after waiting 20 mins.l and its not busy. But Ill give a 5 star for kitchen crew less than 10 mins mu food arrived and it was good. Kust the customer service shes focus on her phone and the other one busy eating and the guy he dont care and im the one who even go to them to pay cause its so hard to call them cause shes busy at her phone. This is a nice cozy place to relax, unwind, and have an excellent meal. I had the chilaquiles, and they reminded me of a restaurant in Mexico City. They were authentic and great tasting. Just moved to Brownsville. This is my favorite restaurant so far. The steak, egg benedict and grilled asparagus are really good. The staff are great and helpful. The shrimp could be a bit less sweet but I still like it. Wish they could expand the menu a little bit. Maybe some seasonal item? :)

Dine here if you would like to be blatantly judged and treated based on your attire and what make and model of vehicle you pull up in. The staff very openly treated certain guests (the wealthy ones) better than others (the common middle class ones). Front hostess was gonna seat guests that came in after us but didnt because they requested to sit in the back of restaurant. I asked if we could get back seating and she said it would take a few minutes. Which was a lie because the other guest got seated a minute later. Then our waitress hardly checked in on us. I asked for water with my food at the start of my order and had to asked 4 times for water. The food was good but it was brought out cold cause of the poor service. I have eaten here before and never had such a bad experience. Very disappointing and made me feel unwelcome. Not sure if I will be returning again.

Always a very good option to get out of the routine, the place is very beautiful, and the view of Resaca is spectacular, ideal for having breakfast outdoors in a quiet environment and living with nature, but without a doubt the best thing is its food, and on the weekend it could suddenly be very full, so it is important to make a reservation if you want to be on the terrace, even though it was full the staff was always very friendly and the service was good, good place for a weekend brunch! IMPORTANT If on the weekend you want to enjoy your meals on the terrace, dont forget to make a reservation. RECOMMENDED: Huevos Ahogados, poached eggs drowned in a red sauce spicy with grilled panela cheese, served with a slice of toasted bread are delicious, if you like spicy! Chilaquiles in green sauce with beef tongue, very good choice if you dont like spicy so much, the sauce has a good flavor and is almost not spicy, it is very well served and the tongue very tasty, good mix of flavors.

The scenery outside is beautiful, but the service and food are not the best. The waiter was having a difficult time keeping up with the orders, making him forget many, many things and make a number of mistakes. I communicated to him that I found a hair in my fries, and instead of offering to replace them or to give me a small discount, he proceeded to state, y que feo caso. It ruined my appetite and was not able to finish that food. My partner ordered a well-done steak, but instead, the waiter brought her a somewhat rare steak. Overall, the quality is not great. First time going and got a pear salad. Dont ever get it. They tried too hard with the presentation, and the taste could have been better. It didnt say on the menu that it had blueberries, and they put it there. Im not too fond of blueberries, so this made the salad look unappealing and unappetizing. I ve been a couple times giving them the benefit of the doubt each time, but I have been terribly disappointed each time. I will not delve into previous experiences, because this last one knocked it out of the park . We reserved a table for Sunday Brunch and were quickly seated. Our server (an older gentleman), took our drinks order, but made us wait over 20 minutes to get two cups of coffee and an orange juice despite serving drinks for tables adjacent. He came back, and we had to re-order our drinks because he had forgotten we had ordered already. We asked for two orders of the most expensive biscuits in the world, which were alright. Then we ordered chilaquiles and chicken and waffles which were good. The food has never been the reason why I come here, but rather other friends wanting to come and spend time in a pretty place. Also, please work on the coffee. It could be so much better! However, this review is not going to focus on the food but on our server. He has served us before and has been with Lola s for years now. However, I suggest he needs to go under training to perform up to par to the advertised value this establishment supposedly offers. From poor hygiene to poor service, I always sigh when he serves our table. We noticed he had something on his nails this time which we would not like to disclose on an open review. It s important to keep good hygiene when serving food. He also threw napkins on the table, and he would reach over our heads (almost on top of us) to pour coffee. This is not a taqueria, and I can assure you, many of the most popular taquerias do not even serve your dishes or drinks like that. It was almost like he was dancing around the restaurant doing everything rushed and careless. The most uncomfortable time he reached over was when we handed us our check, and we placed the cash on the table. He immediately reached over one of us to the point where his body pushed the person s body and snatched the money. It was very tasteless and uncomfortable. Although we understand servers have to wiggle around tables because of limited space, personal space needs to be respected. In addition, this shouldn t be a problem at a restaurant that charges like its standards are so high. I hope this reviews serves this restaurant as an opportunity for improvement. Most customers do not leave bad reviews even though they ve had bad experiences before. I really hope this beautiful establishment takes this on a positive light.

Lolas is a wonderful place to have a lunch with a friend or two and many people reserve long tables for the whole family. It has a view of the resaca that it sits on as well as an indoor section, a semi-outdoor section under a covered roof, and the option of being truly outdoors. The menu is not extensive but the food is very good and the service is excellent. I had the wild caught salmon while my sister had quiche (a huge slab) and my daughter had chicken filet. I dont recommend this last dish since the portions are tiny. The salmon was excellent but make sure to have it medium done, otherwise it can be a bit dry. The food is slightly pricey but the ambience makes it worth it!

My husband and I went on Sunday afternoon. It was really packed and loud. We waited to be seated for a long time because there was no one in front. I had to call the place to get someone to come to the front. The staff was friendly but our waiter never came to just on us during our visit. The food was okay. I like the ambience of the place.

I ate here awhile back. Horrible customer service. I asked the assistant manager who was working at the time or waiter( he has glasses and shaved head) that hey this salmon doesn t have bones in it, right? I asked because I have a phobia of swallowing bones( like actual diagnosed anxiety) and he assured me there was no bones and they thoroughly take them out. Well, sure enough whilst I was eating the salmon I felt a hard bone not just a small and I felt super anxious and it didn t help that the guy tried laughing and saying haha.. oh.. yes that s the second time it s happened today. Like, seriously if it has been the second time maybe change your supplier or getting better quality salmon and teach your chef/cook to learn how to cut salmon properly?? Also, when I wanted to speak to a higher manager he told me basically they left to avoid hearing me complain. Super unprofessional and the food is alright. Borderline mediocre at beast and customer service sucks. Also, he did not want to refund me and offered only one of the sides that was only like 2$ for free. Ridiculous. Don t come here if you can help it, unless it s a free meal or have a coupon or something.

Atmosphere is nice but prices are overpriced. $6 for latte/cappuccino in a small cup. $13 for a salad that has no meat?? I don t mind the prices but quality and portions are insufficient. It s ridiculous that their prices are higher than San Antonio s Brunch Spots.

We went for brunch during easter so we knew we were going to be waiting and we were fine with that. But after placing our drinks order the waiter came back 3 times to ask for our drinks cause he couldn t remember what we order. We waited almost an hour and thirty minutes for our food which again he came 3 times to ask what we had ordered. When we got our food it was cold and I ordered a nutella waffle with strawberries he didn t bring me any strawberries and when i asked for them he seem confused the waffle came plain and they gave me a tiny amount of nutella. Concept is cute but overall this place is overpriced and service is not good.

I tried this place fir the first time and it was okay. My sister ordered the steak and i order the oyster porboy. It took almost 30 minutes to get our order and the steak was extra burn and i found a thing small hair on my fries. Im not the person to complain in person to get my food for free! So i just paid and left. Prices are overpriced for the food you receive and portions. Cooks need more supervision from management or owner.

Really good place with friendly staff. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was good but a tad too sweet and seemed under-seasoned. I also tasted the steak & fries and the chilaquiles con lengua de res and both were also good, but also under-seasoned. Steaks were cooked as ordered, but the parmesan fries didnt have much parmesan. Overall good experience.

Ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was burned on the outside and tough well done on the inside it literally tasted like burnt charred ash. Latte was cold, Never got our drinks horrible service from our waitress she never acknowledged us, she was the young girl with brown hair. I will never go here again if you think about going to a place like this you d have a better experience at Terras Urban Kitchen.

Pretty location. Great service. Prices were significantly higher than shown on the menu. I will post a recent menu. Atmosphere was nice. A good place to take a date, but a terrible place for a family. If I was trying to impress a significant other, I would come here. Be prepared to spend $100.
