Great little park to visit nature. Walked up in four woodpeckers on this tree at one time. Somthing you typically do not see. Great access to white oak bayou to take your dog swimming. Also a great place for a family walk or picnic lunch. Back in a private area, so there is little to no traffic on the main road to the park. Dog-friendliness: Great place to take dogs.

Small, scenic, secluded. Worth a visit. 13.9 Acre park along the north side of the confluence of Cypress Creek, and Little Cypress Creek, inside the small, quiet, Lake Cypress Estates neighborhood. It has 0.37 miles of paved trail, some benches, picnic tables, creek views, open space, fishing, creek access by foot.

I love this place. Its a hidden gem with a shallow creek and sandy shores. There look to be trails through the woods, but weve always just played in the sand and creek. You can walk quite a ways down the creek bed.

The park is a gem! Although , unfortunately, teens trashed the creek pretty bad. I wish people cared for nature and didnt treat it like there is no tomorrow. Avoid going there after 2 pm. Those teens are there and their behavior is wild.

Maxwell is a small walking park that is nestled in the back of a quiet neighborhood road. Full of picnic tables and space for your dog to get a little exercise and playtime in without too much space to run off or too many people to distract or provoke. Very peaceful environment, very few people.

Not a large park with essentially two small walking loops connected to a parking lot at the end of a surprisingly extensive forested neighborhood. There is pretty good access to the creek, though. It looks like a lot of the locals make their way down to the water and there are tread marks that seem to show people sometimes take kayaks down to the creek through here, though youd have to make your way through a little bit of brush to do so.

We went to the park in the afternoon, the park was big enough to tire out my my mini schnauzers . The trail is mostly shaded and there is plenty of benches and picnic tables. However at the time we went only a few picnic tables were shaded.

Wonderful spot!! Extremely glad I found this gem of a park. It has so much to offer. Whether your plan is to go walking, biking, four-wheeling, hiking, sightseeing, getting in touch w/ nature, having a picnic, dog-walking, photographing, going on a date, skim boarding, sipping back a few cold ones by the creek, etc... THIS IS THE PERFECT SPOT. Yes, one can say the park itself is not as large as compared to some others. And, that there are no restrooms or water fountains available. And, that it s a bit hidden. Blah blah blah... in fact this is what makes it special. It s one of the very few spots in/near Houston which offers a personal encounter w/ nature completely removed from city life, giving you that feeling of exclusion & somewhat privacy other spots may lack. Just make sure to bring some water along, perhaps a few snacks, maybe a cooler would be best. You know the deal... Again, perhaps it s just me, but the fact that you re completely surrounded by nature & espectacular scenery while completely removed from all else is wonderful & exciting - not to mention, very relaxing. Never have I seen this park packed out w/ people, even on weekends. Both my dog (large breed) & I love this place & will definitely continue enjoying & appreciating all it has to offer. I also enjoy cycling, and though the park itself is small for cycling, one can simply ride along the estates near the park which eventually lead you back to the park (just a suggestion). Please remember to always be respectful to the park, to nature & to others enjoying the park. Please do your best to pick up after yourself & your pets. Lots of trash cans, no reason park should ever have trash left behind. The park is neat & most always spotless, let s do everything to keep it that way. Ok, got a bit carried away talking about this place, I do apologize lol. So yeah, those are some of my thoughts, hopefully some of you share mutual ones. Be safe, enjoy, & take care!

Maxwell Park has a very nice feel to it; its small and cozy. There is hardly any noise (except for the usual bird chirps) and its in a secluded area. Not many cars will be around here, so dont worry about hearing what sounds like dozens of vehicles on a freeway pass by. There are a few benches and tables that you can eat at or just relax on. There are a couple of trails as well, so you can walk around and exercise. If youd like to just explore the area, well then theres plenty of space since it is right on a bayou, which means there are definitely some pictures to be taken. Overall it is a peaceful, pleasant place to be.
